Bus excursions around Belarus. What excursions are worth visiting in Mogilev? Excursion programs in the Republic of Belarus

Once in Mogilev, you should definitely get acquainted with its main attractions and culture. The Dnieper region has a very rich history and magnificent heritage. In addition to exploring the city during an independent acquaintance or " Sightseeing tour of Mogilev", you can look at the city from a different perspective by visiting thematic excursions (for example, " Temples of Mogilev" or " Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War"), as well as visit interesting places located near the city. After all, the Mogilev region is a real treasure trove of fascinating, but little-known to tourists, towns, villages and monuments.

You can book an excursion at one of the travel agencies that organize tours around Belarus. The easiest way to do this is at the travel bureau "Sputnik" (on Tanya Karpinskaya Street), "Mogilevtourist" (Hotel "Tourist" on Pushkin Avenue) or "Mogilevobltourist" (in the building of the Sports Palace on Mira Avenue). In addition, you can use the services of a private guide with the appropriate license.

So, what can you see and where can you go if you stay at least for a few days in Mogilev?

About 70 kilometers from Mogilev is located Slavgorod, or ancient Propoisk. In its vicinity there is a unique natural monument - Blue spring, which got its name due to the unusual color of the water. Thousands of people come here every year to believe in the miraculous power of water. Indeed, the atmosphere in this place is indescribable, and the water is truly refreshing. By the way, the spring is considered one of the wonders of Belarus, since it is not only the largest spring in the country, but also a unique natural spring that comes to the surface of the earth from 100 - 200 meters deep through ancient chalk deposits. It's hard to believe, but it's true.

In addition, Christian history is also connected with the spring, because according to legend, it was here that, on the orders of Prince Vladimir, at the end of the 10th century, the Radimichi, who lost the battle against the Kyiv prince, were baptized. Since then, every year on August 14 (the Day of the Honey Savior), countless people come here and services are held in memory of those great events for the Orthodox Church and local residents. And although this is a truly worthwhile event, it is better to come to the spring at another time, so that nothing interferes with enjoying its pristine beauty and grandeur. On the way from Slavgorod, be sure to turn at the sign " Lesnaya"After all, there is a memorial complex dedicated to the brave soldiers who won the tough battle of the French during the Patriotic War of 1812 with Napoleon.

To the east of Mogilev, almost on the border with Russia, there is another ancient city of the Belarusian land - Mstislavl. Founded in the 12th century, it still preserves evidence of its power and legendary past. Walking through its land, it seems that you are in a historical reserve, where every building and every corner has its own history. Among the most famous attractions of Mstislavl are Castle Hill, where knightly fests are held annually, a unique Jesuit church and interesting churches. True, many buildings in the city are in poor condition, but their grandeur and beauty captivate. 10 kilometers from the city there is another unique place. This Pustynsky Holy Dormition Monastery. Founded back in the 14th century by the Mstislavl prince Lugven after an epiphany on the site of a miraculous spring, it has long been a sacred and inspired place not only for the residents of Mstislavl itself, but also for people living far from it. Since ancient times, people have been drawn here, and the source itself and the monastery have survived countless wars and destruction. Having found itself desolate during Soviet times, the monastery received a second life thanks to the monks who came here, who in the early 2000s took on the difficult task of restoration. By the way, after their arrival, the miraculous face of Jesus Christ appeared on the wall of one of the buildings (in the room where they settled). Every day it became clearer, and today anyone who comes to the monastery can see it.
And although work is still ongoing to restore the territory of the monastery, the largest part of the work has already been done. The living quarters and bell tower were restored, the source was cleaned, and a font and a small chapel were built near it. So tired travelers can not only pray or rest in the miraculous desert air, but also refresh themselves in the legendary water. Having visited this place myself, I want to say that I have never experienced such a feeling as in Pustynki (even though I have traveled a lot). When you step on the ground of the monastery, it seems that you breathe differently, your body gains strength, and your mind brightens.

If you drive from Mogilev in a northern direction, then after 20 kilometers, you can find yourself in the so-called “capital of cucumbers” - the city Shklov. There you can not only explore ancient buildings (for example, the cathedral rising in the city center, the former town hall or a picturesque park), but also take a photo at an unusual monument in the shape of a funny cucumber. And if you don’t stop there and overcome another 15 - 17 kilometers towards Alexandria, then you can find yourself in the small homeland of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko and look at the old wooden school building where he once studied. Near Alexandria is the ancient Kopys, which appeared on the map in the 11th century and preserved the remains of a medieval settlement.

Another regional center also deserves no less attention - Bykhov, in which the Castle complex is relatively well preserved, and the largest city in the region after Mogilev - Bobruisk.

There are also picturesque natural attractions in the Mogilev region that amaze with their beauty. Of course, Chigirinskoye Reservoir, located 50 kilometers from the city in the Bobrusky direction and Lake Rudeya(about 20 kilometers along the Chausskoe highway). Arriving at the Chigirinskoye Reservoir, along the banks of which there are many recreation centers and the village of Chechevichi, you can sunbathe on the beach, wander around the surrounding area, and most importantly, go boating or fishing. The lake is truly impressive, huge and very colorful. If you choose it for a picnic or fishing, you will not go wrong and will get many pleasant moments. You can also do some good fishing on Rudeya, although it is hardly suitable for a beach holiday.

Thus, the Mogilev region is very interesting in itself. There are a lot of worthwhile places to visit during your stay in Mogilev. In addition, the Belarusian transport network is quite well developed, and the country is not that large. Therefore, even within one day, with the same success, you can visit other iconic places of Belarus from Mogilev - Minsk or Polotsk, Gomel or Mir with Nesvizh and much more.
