The undeniable advantage of the Bin Majid Beach Hotel 4* (AEO) is its location. Not every hotel can boast of being located right on the coast. The complex fully justifies its status as a beach hotel.

The complex's own huge beach is equipped with free sun loungers and umbrellas. There is a bar on the coast where you can try delicious pizza and order any drinks during the day.

The hotel is located on the shore of the bay, separated from the open sea by a sandbar. This makes the water quite calm, there are practically no waves here. But, on the other hand, ebbs and flows are regularly observed. The rise in water level may not be noticed, but the low tide in the afternoon exposes the sandy bottom to a depth of fifty meters. The sea recedes quite far. In general, the shore is flat and comfortable. The beach is incredibly kid-friendly.

The sandy surface on the coast is not entirely clean; there is debris in it, but the hotel workers diligently clean the beach every day.

After lunch the sea is low. We watched as workers cleared the beach of algae with a tractor. We swam in the sea only until 13.00, it was always clean. The beach is sandy, very pleasant, clean. There weren't enough sunbeds for everyone. Tourists came from other hotels, and at 9.00 there were no free sunbeds. We occupied at 7.00 before breakfast.

The pools were cleaned from 6.00 am. Our windows overlooked the pool, we saw how the area was being prepared for vacationers. Well done.

The selection of all-inclusive drinks is limited. No milkshakes, no liqueur based alcoholic drinks. Non-alcoholic beverages are offered: water, juice concentrate (apple, orange, pineapple), cola-sprite, instant Nescafe, tea bag, tonic and soda (the only thing that “goes in”, like mineral water). Alco: red and white wine, canned beer, rum, gin, whiskey. All so-called “cocktails” are a mixture of the above. You can buy coffee from a coffee machine, but in my opinion it is very expensive (from 23 dirhams for an Americano, 27 dirhams for a cappuccino: this is all above 400 rubles). They also made paid cocktails in tall glasses, milk cocktails and others. Regular all-inclusive is poured into plastic 0.2 cups). They are removed through a stump, but not critical... In general, it is tolerable. Small bathroom (especially for beach 4*). There are few hooks in the bathtub (one hook and one bar), and once your towels are hanging there you can’t really arrange them. In general, these are just objective quibbles - they don’t really spoil the quality of your vacation :)

Polite friendly staff at the reception. There is one Russian speaker at the reception, we saw her, but didn’t communicate, and she probably works in shifts. The food is quite good, there is always normal meat (goulash, azu, sometimes lamb, chunky beef), there was always fish too - not bad. Chicken often, but not always, it seems. Rice/potatoes/pasta/steamed vegetables of some kind. The sauces are never overdone. Vegetables/fruits/salads a couple. The sweet table is represented by 2-3 types of sweets. The beach is normal, ordinary. There are ebbs and flows, but somehow they don’t spoil the pictures too much. The tide gets stronger after 16.00, it’s not critical, you just need to go further to swim, and at that point the sand ends and there is a muddy bottom with algae under your feet (you can try to swim over it), then it’s normal. The maximum tide is somewhere from 11.00 to 14.00. The beach is large, there are a lot of umbrellas, but there aren’t always enough sun loungers in the morning, but after 11-12 we always found them. Before that, you can take wicker chairs - not a sunbed, of course, but it will do for a couple of hours. Well, or borrow, as many do... You lie next to him, for three hours there is no one on the empty occupied sun loungers... then they will come, take the towels and leave... We have not practiced such an activity, but at 8-9 am there are still hours places. In the evening there is no animation. Which in itself “is and is fine.” Children's somewhere from 20.00 to 21.00 and adults from 21.00 to 22.00. Then just music until 23.00. All inclusive seems to be until 23.00, but they were still pouring until 00.00. There was a mini-Halloween celebration with the appropriate surroundings and the burning of an inscription on the beach, there were invited artists (such as tanura dance), belly dance, salsa, a hotel couple, Mr. Hotel, etc. During the day, all sorts of aerobics, darts, yoga, boccia, beach volleyball. We often saw children painted (apparently face painting). There are three water slides on the beach, which is good for both children and adults to cool off :) Young children are given vests. In the room: kettle, cups, coffee/tea/sugar, water replenished daily.

If anyone is reading this: Cleanliness - I would like to work on this. You are not Egypt! The dishes are dirty. To be fair, I note that the staff in the dining room periodically wiped down the chairs and tables in our presence. They walk around with these sprays on their belts. The hair in the food was passed on to the staff. They nodded and that was it. They didn't even say sorry. Room cleaning - it is advisable to wash them (the floor). The air conditioner is not adjustable. Monotonous (albeit quite a lot) food. Spicy. We were unlucky with the timing - construction began behind the fence and bulldozers were working at night. The door does not isolate sound very well... We expected the room to be a Chalet, as when booking. Maybe what we got is what it is. But I expected something different. Shower without a shower head (women will understand).

The hotel was exactly for this money, well, maybe it overpaid a little. The staff is smiling, if there was at least one more Russian-speaking employee per shift, there would already be progress. Sea. Warm water. Nice beach. If you are going on vacation, relax. If you look for disadvantages, you will still howl at the reception. On the plus side, in comparison, sorry Rixos and Hilton, on the contrary, I never had any stomach problems. Although we were ready and took intestinal medications. Russia Showers in the room without curtains. I really can't understand this logic. Judging by the reviews, this has been a problem for a long time, but hanging a simple bar with a curtain is apparently too difficult... The condo made noise like a tractor, but perhaps we were just “lucky” with the number. Very meager children's menu. And rather a wish for the administration: to organize at least a minimal children's playground for those who are not interested in animation. By the way, the declared mini zoo is not there; a peacock in a cage does not count.

Excellent, calm hotel. It was my first time in the UAE and I was expecting a more high-tech approach. And I got a hotel at the level of Turkish 4*. We needed a relaxed atmosphere, so that we didn’t have to dress up to go out to eat (after all, changing three children a hundred times a day is a pleasure), cleanliness and hearty food. We got all this! -The staff is friendly, instantly responding to requests and wishes. -I liked the presence of water slides and the fact that in the hottest sun they are turned off to make it easier to take the children into the shade. -Large heated swimming pool, very appropriate for April. -For adults, there is quite a varied menu, so as not to get bored for 11 days (but if you are expecting gourmet cuisine and delicacies, this is not the place for you) - wonderful sea (but only during high tide). We swam in masks, saw stars, sponges, a small stingray, a fish that looked like a swordfish, and jellyfish everywhere. All this without swimming beyond the buoys. We arrived at low tide and the sea receded right up to the algae. And then the tide gradually rose almost to the rescue tower. So if you don’t stay for long, you may get caught at low tide and entering the sea will be unpleasant. -My daughter appreciated the evening dances for the children and the relaxed animation afterwards.

As the emirate prepares to ring in the New Year with an attempt to break two Guinness World Records for the longest pyrotechnic display and drone display, access to Al Marjan Island will be restricted from 11:00 am on December 31.

The only vehicles allowed access are taxis, Uber, public transport and private vehicles presenting a unique sticker pass (Rixos Bab Al Bahr management will provide upon request for its guests).

At 23:00, all main roads leading to Al Marjan Island will be completely closed. This means that after this time no vehicles will be able to reach the hotels until the roads are reopened around 03:00 hours on 1 January 2020.
