It has everything for a great holiday: developed infrastructure, clean beaches, plenty of entertainment and hotels with comfortable rooms. But first things first.

General information about the resort

It is a small city with a population of about 30,000 people, located on the southern coast of Turkey, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. The city of Alanya, where the nearest airport is located, is only 12 kilometers away. Thanks to the presence of frequent intercity buses, getting there is quite easy. The nightlife at the resort is quite sparse, so partygoers will have nothing to do here. But for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday and lie on the beach, this is an ideal place.

The city's infrastructure is developed just fine. Tourists can easily rent a room in one of the many hotels. You can relax and eat in wonderful restaurants and bars. There are several large shops and a post office. If necessary, you can get medical care in one of two clinics.

Entertainment

Resort attractions

People come here, first of all, to take a break from the noisy metropolis and sunbathe on the beach in a calm environment. But Konakli (Türkiye) also has attractions, although their variety is not very great.

Interesting. First of all, you should visit Sharapsan Khan - this is a caravanserai (in Russian this translates as “hotel”) built in the 17th century on one of the roads of the Silk Road. Many travelers stopping here on their way from Europe to China.

Many modern craftsmen should learn from the skills of medieval builders. The hotel was built with very high quality and gives the impression of a fortress that can withstand a long siege. The stone walls, held together with limestone, reach three meters in height, and the entire structure is supported by carved piers.

The huge area of the caravanserai is divided into nine sections, each of which has its own special purpose - one contains a hall with a fireplace, the other was used for keeping livestock and animals that travelers came with, and there is also a mosque here.

Excursions to Sharapsan Khan

Another noteworthy attraction is the clock tower on the mosque. But you can only get here as part of an organized excursion. Hikers can head to the ruins of an ancient Roman village. The path lies through a pine grove, so aesthetic pleasure is definitely guaranteed.

Compared to the rest of Turkey or Alanya, Konakli's attractions are poor, but, nevertheless, there is something to keep you busy in terms of entertainment.

Excursions and other activities at the resort

First of all, the resort is rich in orange and pine groves and palm alleys. Going out to the outskirts of the village, you can see entire plantations of orange trees. If you wish, you can climb the mountains with a professional guide.

Despite the limited list of nightclubs and discos, Konakli has become a place where people from neighboring cities come for entertainment. All thanks to the Summer Garden nightclub, which was opened back in 1991, and since then has held the palm among other discos located on the Turkish coast.

Aquapark

The club is recognized as one of the best for a reason. Its interior is simply stunning - tropical plants and huge aquariums with live exotic fish, a large swimming pool and even its own artificial waterfall. The huge area with spotlights is divided into two parts - one is located directly in the building, and the other is in the open air. But life in it begins at sunset, so when you come here you will have to forget about sleep.

The owners of the establishment value their earned reputation very much, so they invite only the best DJs in Europe and world pop stars. Thanks to webcams, you can monitor what is happening in real time on the official website.

Excursion programs outside the city

Since there is little entertainment in the village, most tourists go for emotions and in search of excursion trips to the neighboring city of Alanya.

On a note. You can buy a tour directly at the hotel or at one of the local travel agencies.

Konakli beaches

Most of the beaches in the village are pebbly and there are a lot of boulders in the water, which makes swimming with children unsafe. Before traveling and booking a hotel, it is better to clarify questions regarding the beach, since there are very few really good ones, and there are practically no sandy ones.

The exception is the sandy “Turtle Beach”, which is owned by the “Conan Beach” restaurant, so it should definitely be included in the list of must-see places. This is a really great beach, with beautiful sand and everything you need for a good holiday. The gentle slope into the water makes swimming with children safe, and the beach coastline of 800 meters ensures the absence of fuss and noise. The fee for a one-time visit is only 10 liras*, when purchasing a subscription there is a 50% discount.

Important! When you make an order at Conan Beach, you can stay on the beach for free all day.

Konakli beaches

Shopping as one of the entertainments

Surprisingly, one of the entertainments in Konakli is shopping. This is a lively town with cafes and restaurants, but a special place in its life is occupied by coffee shops, where you can taste aromatic coffee brewed according to traditional Turkish recipes. Here along the street there are various souvenir shops, small shops with a variety of goods and other establishments that form entire shopping arcades. Here you can buy interesting things.

Note!Turks are born traders, so they greatly inflate prices for tourists. There is no need to be afraid to bargain; you can buy another item for 10% of the original cost.

Under the clock tower mentioned earlier, there is a cozy watch shop. Thus, the attraction attracts buyers. The owner undoubtedly knows a lot about marketing and PR moves. But the most interesting thing begins on Wednesday, when the main square turns into a real oriental bazaar. It’s worth going here not only for shopping, but simply to feel the flavor of Turkish life.

The market is full of offers. Oriental sweets and cheap fruits, a variety of meat delicacies and seafood. Here you can buy almost everything, including rare handicrafts, which are highly prized in Europe. So, for little money in the outback, real national goods are purchased, which can then be resold for much more.

Useful information for tourists

When going to Konakli, you should remember that this is a Turkish city, so you should not take pictures of local residents, even if they look very colorful. When visiting a restaurant or cafe, you need to leave a tip - about 10% of the total cost of the order. This way you can win over the waiters and get good service on your next visit.

Separately, it is worth taking care of money. It's better to take cash with you. The resorts accept both Turkish lira and euros, as well as dollars. It is also quite possible to pay here in Russian rubles, but the exchange rate will not be entirely favorable. It is better to get yourself dollars, because on the market what is sold for 5 euros can be bought for 5 dollars, which is much more profitable.

For those who like to pay by card and withdraw money from an ATM, there is also one valuable piece of advice - there is no need to withdraw money after the bank closes: if the ATM “eats” the card, returning it the next day will be more difficult than if you apply directly.

Turkish ATMs do not give back the card if the operation takes a long time. He “thinks” that the owner simply forgot it, and “swallows” the card.

This is a quiet town that is suitable for a relaxing family holiday. There is not a huge number of offers for leisure activities, but you can find a minimum of entertainment, a good beach and the hospitality of the Turks here.

Konakli is a small resort town near Alanya. There are not many attractions here: a park with fountains, a mosque, a chapel, a caravanserai. The famous oriental market, noisy and colorful, attracts tourists much more strongly to Konakli. This is a crowded, but interesting and picturesque place.

Here you can buy almost everything: a variety of souvenirs, clothes and shoes, jewelry, Turkish sweets, spices, locally produced carpets. Prices at the market in Konakli are affordable, in addition, it is customary to bargain here. The fruit and vegetable rows deserve special mention: such an abundance of colors is difficult to find anywhere else.

Every day the market moves to a new location in the Alanya region; in Konakli it operates only once a week - on Wednesdays. Trading takes place from early morning until 7 pm.

Shopping Center Konakli

Sculptural group "Horses"

This monument was built in 2012 and opens the central shopping street of the Konakli district (there is a tower and a mosque nearby, so you definitely won’t miss it).

Nightclub Summer Garden is a very fashionable and very romantic club located right in the open air. Its name, which translates as Summer Garden, absolutely corresponds to the atmosphere reigning in the club. It is surrounded by many palm trees, flowering shrubs and other vegetation typical of a Mediterranean climate.

The Summer Garden nightclub also has a waterfall and a swimming pool, a relaxation area, a restaurant and a bar. Thanks to this, the atmosphere in the club is very pleasant and relaxing. Modern hits from both Turkish and popular foreign performers are heard on the dance floor.
