A device for removing a hook from a fish. Homemade toothbrush extractor. The process of making an extractor for fishing with your own hands

The fishing extractor is used in sport fishing. It allows you to remove the hook in a few seconds without damaging the gear or harming the fish. It is used if the fish has swallowed the bait too deeply. Amateur fishermen also often use this device; many know how to make an extractor themselves.

An extractor is a device for pulling out a fish hook. There are two types of extractors:

  • a needle with a cut that hooks a hook;
  • tongs used to remove bait.

The pliers have serrations at the end to grip the hook more firmly.

Operating principle

When using the extractor, the fish must be held with your left hand. The prey's mouth should be open, the leash string should be taut. With your right hand, take the extractor and place the stretched fishing line into the cut of the device. The device is inserted along the thread into the fish's mouth until it reaches the hook. Then, by sharply pressing the extractor, pull out the end of the hook. Every fisherman should know how to use an extractor.

The hook is pulled out along with the extractor. In this case, the fishing line must be taut. If you practice often, you will gradually be able to remove the hook in the dark without even looking at it.

Types of extractors for fishing

Extractors differ in the material they are made of:

  • metal;
  • tree;
  • plastic.

Plastic devices are cheaper, they do not damage the fishing line, but are not very durable. Metal devices have good strength, but can damage the fishing line with sharp edges. Wooden ones are used less often; they do not damage the cord, but just like plastic ones, they are fragile.

According to the shape of the working part of the device there are:

  1. Spiral-shaped ones, which are simple in design, are easy to use, but they are difficult to remove the hook from the dense bony tissue of the fish mouth.
  2. Fork-shaped - they are easy to manufacture; they are often made independently. They are quite difficult to use by touch; you need to see the hook and carefully pull it out.
  3. Flat - made in the form of a flat screwdriver. The working part has a cone-shaped slot. It is also difficult to use by touch.
  4. Cylindrical with slots - easy to use and does not injure the fish. With their help you can work without looking. This model is the most in demand.

Some devices have additional functions. For example, at the other end of the device there may be a needle, which is designed to untangle the fishing line. The size of the device slot corresponds to the size of the hooks. Some models are equipped with slots of different sizes on both sides.

When catching large predatory fish, large hooks are used. Therefore, the extractor must be of a special design. When fishing for pike, a gaper is used, which is designed to hold the predator's mouth open while the fisherman removes the hook. In this case, the bait is pulled out with fishing tongs or pliers.

Such devices can perform several functions. To pull out hooks, fishermen also use medical instruments, such as surgical tweezers, vascular clamps, and needle holders. The most convenient of them are needle holders, because they are designed to hold slippery needles. They are equipped with special notches on the tips.

Needle-shaped

The needle-shaped extractor has a simple operating principle. It is more reliable, takes up little space, and has a long service life. These devices are made of plastic or metal. With the help of such a device, the hook can be removed even from small fish. This design is in great demand.

In the form of tweezers

The device in the form of tweezers is made of metal. It has rubber handles that allow you to work with wet fingers. This device is used when fishing for large predatory fish using a spinning rod. The device helps to retrieve baits with multiple tees. The devices are compact and durable.

How to make a fishing extractor with your own hands

You can make your own extractor while fishing. You need to clear the bark from a small branch, sharpen its end with a knife, and make a slot just below. If you forgot a device at home, then such a homemade item can replace it.

You can make a fishing extractor with your own hands from a ballpoint pen. For this you will need:

  • pen;
  • sandpaper;
  • needle file;
  • finely cut file.

You can also take an old felt-tip pen with a cap instead of a pen. First, pull out the rod. A slot is made at one end of the felt-tip pen or pen. To do this, use a needle file, with which you saw through the surface of the felt-tip pen to a depth of 1 cm.

Then you need to file the edges so that there are no gaps left. If you do not process the edges, the cord may break. Then you should once again more carefully process the cut using sandpaper. This will make the edges smooth.

From a toothbrush

A more durable extractor can be made. For this you will need a toothbrush. You need to saw off the head of the toothbrush, which has bristles, so that only the stem remains. The longer it is, the more convenient the device will become. You need to make a cut in this leg, with which you can remove the bait. Then you need to sand its edges.

The cut should be of medium size, this will allow you to remove hooks of different sizes. A cut that is too large will not be able to pull out small hooks. If desired, you can make 2 devices for extracting large and small baits. Hooks that are too large are pulled out with pliers. A hole is made on top of the toothbrush so that the device can be hung on the neck. Then it will be convenient to use it if necessary.

The extractor can be supplemented with a needle. It must be secured to the other end of the device. To do this, it is tightly tied with threads and glued. The needle should always be capped to protect yourself from injury. The needle is used to untangle the fishing line when it accidentally gets knots. It is especially difficult to untangle the knots on the braid, this product will help you deal with them.

Where and how to store the extractor while fishing

You can bring the structure fishing in a special box. Often fishermen hang the extractor on a cord around their neck, this makes it possible to use it quickly. It does not interfere with the angler, because it is light in weight. You can choose a suitable cap, with which you secure the product to your clothing. Then it will not get lost and will always be at hand. Using the working part of the extractor, it will be possible to remove the bait from and in the summer.

It happens that the hooks dig into the edge of the mouth of the hooked fish. Then there is no problem - we can grab the hook with our fingers and release it. After which we release the fish, or take it as a catch and some culinary exploration. But there are often situations when the hooks of the bait dig deep, the whole bait can be in the mouth of the fish, and the hook is somewhere far away in the gills. The question arises: how to remove a hook from a fish's mouth? You can't do it without special tools. And today, I will tell you about a set of tools that fishermen use to remove hooks from the mouth of fish. We'll talk about yawners, extractors, forceps, clamps, pliers.

So, the fisherman hooked another predator that had its eye on the tasty edible silicone. The fish is already in your hands, or in the landing net. And the fisherman sees that only the leash is sticking out of the mouth, and the bait and hooks are somewhere deep, probably in the gills, or even the esophagus of the fish...

What should a fisherman do if he does not have any special tools with him to remove hooks from the fish’s mouth? You have to use improvised means. But a lot depends on what kind of fish was caught.

If this perch, and he has eaten a lot, then you can pick at it with your fingers... The perch’s mouth is large and not armed with teeth. But, it is important not to climb through the gills, otherwise you can cut your fingers on the sharp edges of the gill covers... Sometimes, without improvised means, it is not possible to release the hook.

In any case, if the perch swallows the bait like this, then the fish will almost 100% die. And there can be no talk of any “catch and release” here. Application special tools for removing hooks from fish mouths, slightly increases the “patient’s” chances of survival. But for now let’s look at other popular trophies of the jig spinner.

If you get caught pike, then the matter is generally gloomy, because The mouth of this predator is hard and studded with numerous sharp teeth. Under no circumstances should you put your fingers into the mouth of a pike! So, if the toothed one has taken it deeply, and there are no special tools, then you need to use something clever from the means at hand. For example, you can cut or break out a couple of branches from coastal trees or bushes. One will serve as a spacer. You need to try to carefully insert it vertically into the pike’s mouth so that it cannot move its jaws. We climb into the gills of the fish with another, longer, possibly with knots, stick, trying to free the hooks. To make such an improvised yawner and extractor, you may need.

If you get caught zander, and swallowed the bait deeply, then too, you shouldn’t put your fingers into the fish’s mouth. Of course, pikeperch fangs are not as dangerous as pike strings of teeth, but still, injury is very possible. Here you also need to open the mouth, fix it with a spacer and do some shamanism using improvised means to pick the hook out of the mouth. The same applies to soma. You shouldn't put your hand into the fish's mouth. Although there are no obvious teeth there, there are so-called teeth. a brush that can also cause injury.

So, if the angler does not want to have big problems when the fish swallows the bait deeply, especially if the angler wants to release the fish alive, he should acquire a set of special tools for removing hooks from the fish’s mouth.

The simplest and most classic set for removing hooks from a fish’s mouth is yawner and extractor fork or yawn and surgical clamp.

Zevnik

A yawn is a special device that allows us to open and hold the mouth of a fish open while we poke around there, trying to free the hooks. Agree, trying to do something in this direction, with the mouth of the same pike tightly shut, is unrealistic.

The yawner is a structure made of thick springy steel wire. Here a spiral coil is wound as a spring element, and two horns are formed. At the ends of the yawning horns, to increase the area of contact with the fish’s mouth (so as not to break through it), there are round knobs, or transverse bends of the wire itself.

Such a yawner can be bought in almost any fishing store. So, if you don’t have one yet, be sure to buy it!

Surgical hook removal clamp

When the fish's mouth is open and secured with a gaper, a surgical clamp can be used. Grabbing the hook, we pull it out of the mouth. A surgical clamp can be purchased at a pharmacy. To tell you the truth, I didn't really enjoy using the surgical forceps to remove the hooks. I prefer the extractor fork.

Fork Extractor

An extractor fork, or simply an extractor. In appearance, this tool resembles a knitting needle, a crochet hook or a thin screwdriver, with the only difference being that its end is shaped like a fork.

There are store-bought extractors. But some people make them themselves. It's not difficult enough. Using a file, you can grind out a good extractor from the same thin flat screwdriver, or from a duralumin knitting needle, with the end previously flattened on an anvil.

The fork is inserted into the open mouth of the fish and pressure is applied to pry up the stuck hook, releasing it from the tissues of the mouth.

The yawner is kept in the pocket of a fishing vest, or fastened to it on the outside. The same applies to surgical clamping. The extractor is stored in a special narrow pocket, or some kind of case or micro-tube is fitted for it, so as not to get pricked.

Fishing tongs and pliers

There are more advanced tools for removing hooks from a fish's mouth. These are various fishing pliers.

And pliers.

In addition to the hook removal function, these tools have pliers that can be used to cut fishing line, there are flat areas that allow you to straighten leads, clamp pellet weights and do a bunch of other little things. These types of tools are clipped onto a fishing vest and stored in chest pockets.

In fact, fishing tongs and pliers can also replace a yawner. But, more often, you have to use both, because... Not every fish can properly open its mouth with the ends of pliers.

In any case, in order to save time during pure fishing, in order to keep the catch alive, you definitely need to buy yourself one of the tools described above. Choose according to your taste and finances.

Everyone knows that at this time it is necessary to lower the jig into the water as quickly as possible, after the next fish caught is on the ice, until the school moves away from the fishing spot. In such a situation, every little detail is important, how quickly you can replace the nozzle, and also how quickly you can remove the catch from the hook.

A hungry fish can swallow very deeply and it can be extremely difficult to pull it out of its mouth in the cold with frozen hands. In a hurry, you can break the fishing line and, as a result, spend even more time replacing it.

To quickly release hooks from a fish's mouth, a device such as an extractor is useful. It looks like a miniature fork, at the end of which there is a slot for fishing line.

The operating principle of the extractor is as follows:

  • The fishing line is inserted into the slot of the fork;
  • Moving along the fishing line, the fork is inserted into the fish’s mouth until it stops, that is, until the stuck hook;
  • By pressing the handle, the hook is released from the mouth.

This device is also suitable if the hook is stuck in the upper jaw of the fish from the outside. If you try to pull it out yourself, then, most likely, you will not be able to avoid breaking the hook, which means wasting valuable time.
Buying an extractor is not a problem nowadays.

Fishing stores offer a large number of options to choose from, both cheap and expensive. But many of them turn out to be inconvenient to use in the cold.

It is light, miniature, easily fits in your pocket, and, most importantly, not slippery. Frequently needing to use an extractor may indicate problems with the fishing rod. A long leash or a float that is insensitive to bites, or maybe you don’t catch the bite in time. There can be many reasons. In any case, such an extractor will provide an invaluable service if it ends up in your fishing arsenal.

Extractors come in the following varieties:

  1. Metal and plastic. Typically, fishermen choose metal extractors because they are stronger and less prone to breakage.
  2. Single-sided and double-sided. The first devices are designed for removing small hooks, and the second ones are for removing larger hooks. Double-sided extractors are considered more convenient because they can perform more functions.
  3. With and without cap. Extractors with a cap hide a needle underneath, which is used to unwind various knots, while the cap also makes it possible to attach the device to clothing so that the fisherman can quickly find it.
  4. Extractors in the form of a fork and in the form of a clamp (surgical). The first devices are usually not very expensive and are convenient for pulling out small hooks. The second type of extractor is considered professional and is used not only for extracting large hooks, but also for other fishing purposes.

This is a fairly simple device that can be made by anyone who knows how to hold an instrument in their hands. It can be made from a knitting needle or crochet hook, from a bicycle knitting needle or sushi sticks.

A used toothbrush, which can always be found around the household, is well suited for this task. The process of making a homemade toothbrush extractor consists of the following steps:

  • In the narrowest place you need to saw off the part of the brush on which the bristles are located;
  • Using a needle file, cut out a wedge in the middle of the sawn part;
  • Carefully sand the working part so that there are no burrs.

For ease of use, you can drill a hole in the top of the handle and pass a key ring through it or make a loop from regular rope.

A drawing of a self-made extractor for winter and summer fishing does not require any special explanation.

A fishing extractor is a homemade device that is used to release a hook in the mouth of a fish.

The working end of a homemade fishing device is three turns of solid wire 1.5-2.5 mm thick.

Let’s imagine the situation again: you are fishing, you come across a “impudent” bull that has swallowed the hook deep into its throat, and you do not have a device for removing hooks with you. Do not despair.

Cut a thin branch 3–4 mm thick from the tree. Clear it of knots and bark and make it as smooth as possible.

You have a thin wooden stick. Using a knife, shape one end of the stick into a screwdriver shape with a cone-shaped cut in the middle.

You have made the simplest extractor for fishing with your own hands in field conditions. Use it as described in paragraph.

However, fishermen are prudent and thrifty people. Their fishing “arsenal” should have all sorts of useful devices for all occasions. An experienced fisherman will definitely think about how to make an extractor for fishing with his own hands - high-quality and inexpensive.

It was already mentioned above that extractors made of metal should be avoided. The best material would be plastic or hardwood.

Take advantage of commercially available ready-made blanks - in handicraft stores you can always find knitting needles of various diameters, made of plastic or wood. These are very convenient blanks for the extractor, since the spokes already have a spherical or flat thickening at one end, and their material is easy to process.

The diameter and length of the workpiece for the future device should be selected taking into account the size of the fish being caught.

To make the simplest extractor model, all that remains is to process the second end of the knitting needle, giving it the shape of the working part of a screwdriver with a cut in the middle. Then you should sand the working part of the future extractor from nicks and irregularities. The fishing device for removing hooks from the mouth of fish is ready!

You can also use the following as a blank for making an extractor:

  • toothbrush handle. As a rule, handles are made of plastic and are quite easy to process;
  • chopsticks used as cutlery in East Asia. Sticks are made from various materials: hardwood, plastic, various metals. All of them can be used as blanks for making an extractor with your own hands.

The procedure for removing the hook using an extractor does not cause significant harm to the fish, and it can always be returned to its native element - let it grow and multiply. Happy fishing!

Types of extractor for fishing

When catching fish in winter with a jig or any other tackle, a very thin fishing line is used, which can be torn by a metal extractor.

Because of this, experienced fishermen have come up with a way to make a “safe” toothbrush extractor.

In addition, such a homemade device will cost the fisherman several times less than a purchased extractor, since its manufacture requires only one toothbrush.

In order to confirm the effectiveness of the extractor, which is made from a regular toothbrush, we present the advantages of such a device:

  1. Toothbrush handles are made of materials that cannot slip, so they are very comfortable to hold not only with dry hands, but also with wet ones.
  2. In extreme cold, holding a plastic handle is much more pleasant than a metal one.
  3. The manufacturing process of this extractor takes no more than sixty minutes.

Manufacturing

The process of making a fishing extractor from a toothbrush is as follows:

  1. Cut off the top of the brush (its bristles).
  2. Using a knife, make fork-shaped cuts in the cut area.
  3. Drill a small hole on the back of the brush and thread the fishing line and swivel through it. This is necessary in order not to lose the extractor.
  4. Spread the cuts a little so that the plastic strips become a little wider (it is important not to overdo it, otherwise you will simply break the brush).

Fishing gives pleasure in its process - each of us knows this. But, besides this, we always want to get results from fishing - to catch not three perch, but a dozen kilogram pikes - what a catch! Each of us dreams of this, but not everyone can do it.

How long has it been since you had a really BIG CATCH? When was the last time you caught TEN HEAVY PIKE/CARP/BREAM?

A good catch can be achieved (and we know this) thanks to good bait. It can be prepared at home or bought in fishing stores. But stores are expensive, and to prepare bait at home, you need to spend a lot of time, and, to be fair, homemade bait does not always work well.

You know that disappointment when you buy bait or prepare it at home and only catch three or four bass? Of course it's familiar. So maybe it’s time to use a truly working product, the effectiveness of which has been proven both scientifically and in practice on the rivers and ponds of Russia?

Of course, it is better to try once than to hear a thousand times. Moreover, now is the season! A 50% discount on your order is a great bonus!

A homemade extractor is shown in the drawing. Perhaps some fishermen will be interested in this fishing device.

An extractor for unhooking a hook in the form of a spiral is shown in the drawing. The sketch appeared in one of the fishing magazines.

A drawing of another simple homemade extractor for extracting a hook from a caught fish is presented under the title of the article.

The idea of making such a fishing device does not belong to me. I just finalized the sketch of a homemade extractor. I lay out the meaning of the author's proposal.

“A hook for removing a hook from a fish’s mouth is necessary for winter and summer fishing.

To make a homemade release, you just need to take a piece of wire with a cross-section of 3-4mm, and rivet one end to a length of 8-10mm.

Then bend the flattened end of the cut on a nail into a tube, which is cleared at the junction of the edges and cut with a metal file. (Probably, the inventor of a homemade detachment means slotting. Note from the site author)

To remove the hook, only the line should pass into the slot of the release, and the ring (spatula) of the hook should pass into the tube. The principle of using a release when removing a hook from a fish’s mouth does not require any special explanation.

A fishing line is inserted into the slot of the release tube, the release is directed into the fish’s mouth, the tube passes the ring and the shank of the hook. Now, if you press the release, the hook will come out freely"

A. Sokolov. Smolensk region.

A homemade release can be strengthened using the method proposed below. Then, when removing the hook from the mouth of a caught fish, it is guaranteed not to bend.

How to use the extractor

The principle of using the extractor is as follows:

  1. Pull the line into the extractor eye.
  2. Pull it tight so that it does not dangle.
  3. Present the extractor in the mouth of the fish that has swallowed the hook and spread both jaws to be able to better see the hook.
  4. With a quick movement, pull or knock the hook out of the fish's mouth.
  5. Pry it with an extractor and take it out.
  6. Place the catch in a fish tank or bucket of water.

In addition, the use of a fishing extractor has the following features:

  • If the fish is hooked on the lip, then the extractor should not be used, but removed by hand. But if with its sting it goes deep into the mouth of the catch, then this device cannot be avoided;
  • if the fish constantly swallows the hook with bait very strongly, then this indicates that the fisherman has set the depth incorrectly and needs to adjust it so as not to constantly resort to the help of this device;
  • You should know that the fish should not swallow the hook completely. When biting, it should hook only on the lip, so if frequent swallowing of hooks occurs, it is recommended to slightly reduce the length of the leashes.

So, you have a problem while fishing! The “cheeky” goby swallowed the baited hook so deeply that it was not visually visible in the fish’s mouth. A medical clamp and narrow-nose pliers cannot be used. In such a situation, only an extractor can help out.

To remove the hook using this device, you must perform the following steps in sequence:

  1. Hold the caught fish with one hand: the mouth of the fish is open, the leash line is in a taut position;
  2. With your other hand, grab the extractor. Install a fishing line going deep into the fish’s mouth into the section of the working part of the device;
  3. Controlling the position of the tensioned fishing line in the cut, smoothly begin to insert the extractor along the fishing line into the mouth of the fish until it rests on the bend (hook) of the hook;
  4. By briefly pressing firmly on the bend (prying) of the hook, release it from the hook in the fish’s mouth;
  5. While holding the line taut, remove the extractor and hook from the fish's mouth.

In practice, the procedure for removing a hook using an extractor is very simple. To learn how to use this device, it is enough to practice 1-2 times, after which the hook can be easily released even in poor lighting conditions.

Which extractor should I buy?

When purchasing a fishing extractor, you should pay attention to the following characteristics:

  1. Form. The best form of extractor is considered to be that of a regular pen (ballpoint). In addition, it is recommended to select extractors that have a cap with fastening. This will enable the fisherman to always carry such a device with him when fishing.
  2. Size. This criterion must be selected depending on the size of the hooks used. It is also desirable that the extractor have hooks on both sides. This will make it possible to use them for hooks of different numbers.
  3. Quality. The extractor must be made only from high-quality materials that will guarantee its long service life. In addition, when choosing an extractor, the fisherman must carefully inspect the hooks.

    They must be completely smooth and free from defects such as curved shapes or grooves. If you use low-quality extractors with rough hooks, they can cut through the leads, which will give the fisherman even more trouble.

  4. Needle. It is recommended to use extractors with metal needles, since they are stronger than plastic ones. In addition, with such a needle it is much easier to untangle various knots on the fishing line.
  5. Product color. They come in all sorts of colors, but it is better to use brighter extractors so that they are visible in the natural environment and cannot get lost. The best colors are bright red or pink, as they will be easily visible among the green grass.
  6. Company manufacturer. Since the extractor is purchased for permanent use, it is better to give it to those manufacturers who can guarantee the quality of their products. In addition, if you are not sure of the quality and manufacturer of the product, then you should not buy such an extractor, since it may turn out to be a Chinese counterfeit and will last a very short time.
  7. Price. Usually, a good extractor can be determined not only by its quality, but also by its cost, so you should also pay attention to this criterion. A high-quality extractor cannot cost a penny.
  8. Right-handed and left-handed extractors. Everything is simple here. If the fisherman is right-handed, then he needs to buy a right-handed extractor, but if he is left-handed, then he should give preference to a left-handed extractor. Thus, any angler will be able to further simplify the use of this device.

  • more convenient when used in cold weather;
  • high-quality plastic will not damage the fishing line.

The cost of the fishing extractor SALMO 9604-009 starts from four hundred and eighty rubles.

An extractor is a fishing device designed to remove a hook from the mouth of a caught fish. Quite often when fishing there are situations when a fish swallows a hook with bait very deeply, sometimes far beyond the pharyngeal teeth. Such problems occur especially often when catching gobies, perches and ruffs. The fish are not large in size, but they swallow the hook so deeply that it is practically invisible in the open mouth of the fish and cannot be grasped with a special clamp or tweezers. In such a situation, only a fishing extractor, a simple and effective device for extracting a hook, can help.

Extractors

What types of extractors are there?

Extractor with a working part in the form of a screwdriver. The described device is a rod with a diameter of 2–4 mm, which has a flat working part on one side, shaped like a thin screwdriver. A conical cut is made in it. On the other side of the rod, for more comfortable holding with your fingers, there is a ring or ribbed thickening.

Spiral extractor- a device in which the working part is made in the form of a spiral. The spiral perfectly captures and holds the line of the leash, the device can be quickly lowered along the line of the leash to the place of the hook. However, if the hook is caught not in the soft tissues of the mouth, but in the tendon area, releasing the hook will be problematic, since it is difficult to squeeze the spiral between the shank of the hook and the tendon tissue

Fork extractor- the working part of the device is made in the form of a two-pronged fork. This is the simplest design. Effectively frees the hook from the hook, but only on the condition that its shank and bend are clearly visible in the fish’s mouth. If the hook occurs deeper in the soft tissues, and the hook can only be detected by palpation, the working part of the device during such palpation will get stuck in the muscles and tendons of the mouth. In addition, the fork-shaped working part of the tool in many cases injures the fish.

The design should be considered the most successful extractor with a cylindrical working part in the form of a truncated cone with slots. The conical working part allows you to move apart the muscle tissue in the fish’s mouth and easily advance the device to the bend of the hook, practically without injuring the fish. A longitudinal cut along the cone is intended for laying the line before starting the hook release procedure. The short cross-cut in the cone performs the same functions as the spiral in the corresponding extractors. After placing the fishing line in the longitudinal section, the extractor rod is rotated around the axis by approximately 45 degrees, and the leash line is inserted into the transverse section. In this position, the hook extractor is ready for use.

The listed devices for removing hooks from the mouth of fish are made from various materials, however We strongly do not recommend using metal ones. Their working parts have fairly sharp edges and can easily cut the thin lead of the equipment. The best materials for extractors are plastic and hardwood.

How to use the extractor

So, you have a problem while fishing! The “cheeky” goby swallowed the baited hook so deeply that it was not visually visible in the fish’s mouth. A medical clamp and narrow-nose pliers cannot be used. In such a situation, only an extractor can help out.

  3. Controlling the position of the tensioned fishing line in the cut, smoothly begin to insert the extractor along the fishing line into the mouth of the fish until it rests on the bend (hook) of the hook;
  4. By briefly pressing firmly on the bend (prying) of the hook, release it from the hook in the fish’s mouth;

  • toothbrush handle. As a rule, handles are made of plastic and are quite easy to process;
