Whose airline? About company. Charter flights of the company

December 15th, 2016 , 09:58 am

The results, in general, are not surprising - VIM-Avia, Yamal, Nordstar With Ural Airlines among the worst S7 And Russia hanging out in the middle, and Aeroflot above them all, but still not the best.
AviaPort experts made several flights over short, medium and long distances. The tickets were purchased incognito, meaning the airlines did not know they were being assessed. Each flight was studied according to 145 parameters, including the time it took to reach the call center, the quality of food on board, and even the availability of wi-fi. The convenience of procedures related to purchasing a ticket, checking in for a flight and managing reservations through airline websites and their mobile applications was separately assessed.
12 Russian airlines operating regular flights on main routes were selected for the study. In addition, the rating included eight foreign carriers operating flights to Russia, which made it possible to assess how competitive domestic companies are in terms of the level of service on international routes.
And here are the results:

From 1 to 2.5 stars

Experts rated it just one star out of five VIM-avia, which already did not enjoy a positive reputation due to frequent flight delays. We ended up here Yamal, NordStar And Belavia. They turned out to be only half a star better Ural Airlines. Rated two stars Yakutia. Well, exactly in the middle of the list, with a rating of 2.5 stars, were UTair, Red Wings And " Nordavia. In general, nothing unexpected, these are economy class companies with low ticket prices.

"The main complaints that arose against carriers were frequent staff errors, for example, a long response time to the flight attendant call button, the impoliteness of flight attendants and even the lack of toilet paper. In addition, in the economy segment, the seats are arranged with the maximum density allowed by the manufacturer; food on board is not always edible. There is a certain calorie standard recommended since Soviet times, economy companies try to achieve it with the help of buns with butter, and in a higher class food includes fruits and vegetables", comments Oleg Panteleev, executive director of the AviaPort agency that compiled the ratings. The experts also did not like the information support - the convenience of the company’s websites and applications.

From 3 to 5 stars

Earned three points Russia, AZAL And LOT, fell just short of four stars S7. Aeroflot received four points - this is the maximum score among domestic companies, on the same line with him Air France, his daughter KLM And Lufthansa. They get five minus Turkish Airlines. Well, the only luxury company is recognized Emirates- Five Stars. The parameters that distinguish premium carriers are the impeccable work of the staff, a wide range of entertainment on board (movies and games), as well as a comfortable distance between the seats.

At the same time, the price of tickets for rating leaders and outsiders may be identical (in their price segment). That is, carriers from one star to 2.5 and more expensive ones – from three to five – compete in price. For example, fly to Dubai from Moscow with a three-star AZAL now more expensive than four-star Aeroflot and even five-star Emirates. And, for example, it’s cheaper to fly to Novosibirsk from the capital with a “2.5-star” UTair or "3.5 stars" S7, how Ural Airlines, which rated only 1.5 stars.

All results:

The register of civil aircraft with Ukrainian registration and a valid license includes about a thousand vessels. More than half of them are operated by airlines engaged in air passenger transportation.

INSIDER has prepared a complete list of their owners.

Heavenly monopolist

About 65% of the Ukrainian air transportation market is controlled by the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Igor Kolomoisky. Among its affiliated companies are Dniproavia, Windrose and Ukraine International Airlines (UIA).

Previously, he was the owner of two more airlines - Donbassaero and Aerosvit.

However, they were artificially brought to bankruptcy by the structures of the Privat Kolomoisky group.

According to Kommersant sources, the governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region became the owner of UIA at the end of 2012, but the co-owners of the company and Kolomoisky himself do not confirm this fact. According to experts, this is due to the fact that the Antimonopoly Committee would not allow him to concentrate such a significant part of the market.

The UIA fleet, according to the State Register, includes almost 40 aircraft, of which 33 are Boeing.

Legacy of the "legitimate"

Today, Donetsk resident Pavel Kovalev, Virginia-based Aero Holdings Limited and British Aero Holdings are listed as its owners. In 2007, the founder of the company was Pavel Litovchenko, known as a confidant of the Yanukovych family and the first co-owner of the Tantalit company, which leased a land plot for the development of Mezhyhirya.

According to the register, Centravia no longer has helicopters, only the Falcon-900 remains.

Stavitsky's business went up

The carrier Urga, which is controlled by the family of the disgraced ex-Minister of Energy Eduard Stavitsky, continues to work and develop under the new government.

After the subsidiary of one of the largest Russian airlines, UTair Ukraine, stopped flying on a number of domestic routes in early May, its place was quickly taken by Urga, whose CEO told Hubs that this is just the beginning, and the air carrier intends to lease new aircraft and develop promising routes.

95% of the shares of Urga belong to the company Sirius 2013 of Igor Ivanchenko, whom Our Money associates with Eduard Stavitsky. The supervisory board of the enterprise is headed by his father, Anatoly Stavitsky.

The company's fleet includes thirteen aircraft, including eight Swedish SAAB.

"Silk Road" for the Azerbaijani President

The little-known Silk Road airline, whose fleet includes only two average An-12s, also has connections with top officials, but not from Ukraine, but from Azerbaijan.

The small company is a subsidiary of one of the largest Azerbaijani airlines, Silk Way Airlines, part of Silkway Holding.

Radio Liberty journalists discovered that friends and relatives of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Azerbaijani state concern Azal Jahangir Asgarov have controlling stakes in all enterprises of the holding.

Businessman sentenced to death

Since 2013, a new small airline, Yanair, has appeared on the Ukrainian market. There is nothing special about it, except for its owner, Russian Alexander Yanchuk.

According to Forbes, Yanchuk, together with compatriots Evgeny Khrapov and Petr Ivanyk, were co-owners of the company Eastok Avia (United Arab Emirates). In the spring of 2009, after a conflict between partners, Khrapova was killed.

After two years of litigation, the Shariah Court of Sharjah found Yanchuk guilty of murder and sentenced him to death. Since then, the UAE has been trying to extradite the businessman, who, according to them, lives in Germany.

The Donetsk airline Savi, which is engaged in charter flights and provides its services to businessmen, politicians and stars, was founded by the Liberian Tulsa International Inc. This company is also known as the founder of the Energo concern, former Prosecutor General Gennady Vasilyev and the “Orthodox” oligarch Victor Nusenkins.

In addition, businessmen Dmitry Firtash - DF Aviation, Alexander Yaroslavsky - Kharkov Airlines and Konstantin Grigorishin - Constanta have their own airlines.

Other airlines are owned by lesser-known businessmen, companies and government agencies.

Everyone knows about S7 Airlines (Siberia). But whose airline is S7 Airlines? What is the S7 aircraft fleet like? Where does S7 fly? Many passengers who use the services of this company and buy S7 airline tickets do not think about this. Although this is very useful information.

S7 Airlines plane.

The headquarters is located in the city of Ob, in the Novosibirsk region. It is not far from Tolmachevo airport.

Together with the Globus company it forms an entire holding under the common brand S7. It specializes not only in servicing flights, but also in repairing aircraft, training flight personnel, and selling tours. And this is just a small part of what this company does.

S7 Airlines slogan: “We fly for you!”

She happens to be nominee and winner of many prestigious awards, both Russian and global scale.

It has representative offices and offices in many cities and countries around the world.

When and how was it formed?

Back in 1957 The first flight “Novosibirsk - Moscow” was made. This date was actually the date of foundation of the Tolmachevsky air squad. After 35 years It was on the basis of this air detachment that the Siberia company was organized.

About the company in figures and facts.

In 2001 the company received its IATA code. A year later, the S7 group of companies was created on its basis. In connection with this, the design of the aircraft was also changed.

In the same year, Sibir acquired Vnukovo Airlines, thus becoming the second largest airline in Russia and the first in terms of the number of flights in the country.

After 4 years she entered Internet ticket sales system, becoming the first Russian company in this field.

In 2010 S7 joined the Oneworld alliance. This gave her the opportunity to collaborate with global airlines.

In 2016 S7 again has an innovation in the form NDC sales technologies - New Distribution Capability. Its meaning is that communication between agencies and the airline itself is carried out through a special system - S7 Agent API. Only 20 airlines the world uses it.

S7 Airlines fleet

Up to 2008 S7 used Soviet passenger airliners - IL-86, TU-154 and TU-204. These aircraft were withdrawn from service at the end of that year.

Instead they were purchased 5 Airbus A320. The company also acquired several Boeing 737s.

At the moment it is known that the company has signed a contract to purchase new Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737-MAX.

The average age of S7 airliners is 9.6 years. The following Airbuses are in operation: A319-100, A320-200, A321-200. From Boeings - 737-800, 767-300ER. There are 64 of them in total.

Many Russians today prefer to travel by plane. Of course, tickets for this type of transport are more expensive than, for example, for the same trains, but you can also get to your destination by air much faster. However, of course, people who fly do not least think about their safety. The list of Russian airlines today is quite wide, and most of them, fortunately, are considered reliable in this regard.

A little history

Many people remember that during the Soviet era, only one company transported passengers by air - Aeroflot. It was founded in 1921. Initially it was given the name “Deruluft”. In 1923 the company was renamed Dobrolet. The name "Aeroflot" was assigned to the civil air fleet of the RSFSR in 1932.

New companies

Unfortunately, in the 90s of the last century, the only Russian airline ceased to exist, breaking up into several small ones. Today, Aeroflot Corporation aircraft are again plying the airspace of Russia and other countries of the world. However, by now this is far from the only carrier in our country. includes both giants that can compete with Aeroflot, and small charter firms.

Criteria for selecting carrier security

Accidents do not occur often, but usually end in a great tragedy with many casualties. Therefore, of course, you should approach the choice of airline with all responsibility. Before purchasing a ticket for any flight, you should make sure that the carrier is able to ensure flight safety. This can be done very simply.

Since 1999, by order of the Russian Federal Aviation Service, our country has had a program for monitoring the safety of civil transportation. Within its framework, every vessel flying in Russian airspace, whether foreign or domestic, can be checked for compliance with safety standards at any airport in the country. Based on the inspections carried out, a safety rating of carrier companies is compiled. After reading it, you can decide, among other things, whether it is worth using the services of a particular company.

The largest Russian carriers

What giants does the list of Russian airlines include? The rating of safe carriers will be presented to the reader below. The list of the largest domestic airlines by number of passengers carried and size is as follows:

Aeroflot. This carrier, although no longer the only one, currently tops the list of Russian airlines with the largest fleet. The latter currently consists of 106 modern machines. this company is owned by the state.

S7-Airlines (“Siberia”). This company is currently the leader in domestic Russian transportation. This carrier has 42 aircraft in its fleet. The company operates flights on 80 routes, only 26 of which are foreign.

"Russia". This company is also state owned. Most of its flights are carried out to the countries of the former CIS and the Far East. However, Rossiya aircraft also fly to European countries. This carrier's fleet includes 30 aircraft.

Utair. This company also owns 30 machines. Its main feature is considered to be the presence of a helicopter fleet. This carrier occupies both 4th and 5th places in the ranking.

This list can also be supplemented by the carrier OrenAir (Orenburg and Orsk). This company deals mainly with charter flights. Its fleet includes 29 aircraft.

Rating of the safest airlines in Russia

Below, in descending order, we present to you a list of Russian airlines considered (according to the 2015 rating of the Federal Air Transport Agency) the safest:

"Ural Airlines". Although this company was not included in the list of the 7 largest, today it tops the ranking of the safest. During the entire existence of this carrier, only 3 incidents with aircraft occurred. Moreover, they all did without casualties.

S7 Airlines. Since its opening, this carrier has had 3 major accidents. In 2001, a Sibir company Tu-154 plane was shot down by Ukrainians over the Black Sea. In this case, 178 people died. Another accident occurred with a Tu-154 of the S7 Airlines brand (51 people). The next crash killed 125 passengers (A310). To date, this carrier is considered one of the most reliable in terms of safety in Europe.

Aeroflot. This company has four disasters to its name. The most famous one happened in 1994. The pilot put his 15-year-old son at the controls. Unknowingly, the teenager pressed one of the levers, as a result of which the autopilot was turned off. It was not possible to level the plane, and it went into a dive. 75 people died in this accident.

The list of Russian airlines in terms of safety can, of course, be continued. In principle, control over compliance with standards by legal entities involved in air transportation is carried out quite seriously today. However, the companies listed above are currently considered the best in terms of security.

Rating of companies with the oldest aircraft

The average age of the aircraft fleet in the Russian Federation in 2016 is 12 years. The list of Russian airlines with the oldest aircraft looks like this:

    "Kagalymavia" - 17.1 years.

    “North Wind” - 14 years.

    "Nord-Avia" - 14.

    "Yamal" - 13.7 years.

    Ural Airlines - 12.3 years.

    "UTair" - 11.7.

    Orenburg Airlines - 10.8.

    "Siberia" - 9.6.

    Red Wings - 6.6.

    Aeroflot - 4.4.

Are any companies banned from flying to Europe?

Some passengers would probably like to know whether there are any Russian air carriers that are not allowed to fly to EU countries. After all, these states have certain safety standards and have specific requirements for the technical condition of aircraft. At the same time, “black lists” of companies that are prohibited from flying in European airspace are regularly compiled.

At the beginning of the new millennium, some Russian carriers actually had to abandon flights to Europe. The list of banned Russian airlines included such a giant as Ural Airlines (partially). Flights of old planes of Kuban Airlines, Airlines 400 and some others were also banned. However, these were not sanctions from the European Union. The ban came from Rostransnadzor and Rosaviatsia. Currently, ships of all Russian companies can make voyages to Europe.
