The Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway is a railway line in the southwest of the capital. The main route from the Kievsky railway station through Bryansk to the border with Ukraine is 502.5 km.

After the annexation of new territories in 2012, the Kiev direction became key for the development of New Moscow. Therefore, it was decided to modernize it in the section from the Kievsky railway station to the Aprelevka stopping point.

The work will be carried out in three stages and will be completed within 5 years.

The reconstructed site is located in the Western and Novomoskovsky districts of Moscow, Odintsovo and Naro-Fominsk districts of the Moscow region. Its length is 33.3 km (25.5 km within Moscow and 7.8 km in the Moscow region). 15 stations and stopping points will be reconstructed here, 3 new stopping points will be built with the formation of transport interchange hubs (TPU) and additional tracks on them.

Reconstruction of the Kyiv direction of the railway:

  • will increase passenger traffic during morning rush hours by 2.5 times (by 30.1 thousand people);
  • trains will run at intervals of about 3 minutes;
  • will unload the Kyiv railway station and the Kievskaya metro station ring by 30%;
  • will give impetus to the development of areas along the railway;
  • will provide additional pedestrian and vehicular connections via railway tracks.

The Kiev railway will intersect with four metro stations - “Kyiv”, “Minskaya”, “Aminevskoye Shosse” and “Rasskazovka”.

Development of paths

Now in this direction there are two main routes from Kievsky Station to Aprelevka (42 km).

The third track will be extended from the Solnechnaya platform to Aprelevka and a fourth track will be built from the Kievsky railway station to Aprelevka.

Travel speed passenger trains will increase from 120 km/h to 140 km/h.

The construction of additional tracks is possible only if flat road crossings are eliminated. Three new overpasses have already been built - Kokoshkino, Krekshino and Peredelkino, and the construction of two more is planned - Lesnoy Gorodok and Aprelevka.

From the Aminevskaya railway station you can transfer to the station of the same name on the Third Interchange Circuit of the metro. A large transport hub will be created on their basis, which will provide a comfortable transfer between three modes of transport for more than 117 thousand passengers per day.

Within the boundaries of the transport hub there are city stops public transport, including intercity flights.

It is planned to build technological and commercial facilities as part of the transport hub.

The technological part will include: a bus station, terminal buildings for passenger transport, underground passages, parking and turning areas for public transport, passenger pick-up and drop-off areas with canopies.

A multifunctional complex with an area of ​​30 thousand square meters will be built as part of the commercial part. m with underground parking.

The area around the transport hub will be landscaped and a new city park will be created.

TPU "Rasskazovka"

At the Michurinets station of the Kyiv direction of the Moscow Railway there will be a transport hub that will connect it with the Rasskazovka metro station of the Kalininsko-Solntsevskaya line.

The technological part of the hub, that is, platforms for boarding and disembarking passengers and transitions between stops of various types of transport, is planned to be introduced at the end of this year - simultaneously with the completion of construction of the metro station.

More than 297 thousand square meters will be built in the commercial part of the transport hub. m of real estate, including about 220 thousand “squares” of housing, a kindergarten and a school. This part of the node will be built by the investor.

It is also planned to build at the metro entrances and near public transport stops shopping complex with an area of ​​about 25 thousand square meters. m.
