Rescue tug Viktor Kontsky where are you

Marine tugboat "Viktor Konetsky" of project 745mbs, construction number 444, is being built by JSC "Yaroslavl Shipyard" under a state order for the Ministry of Defense Russian Federation.

Designer - JSC Design Bureau "Vympel" (Nizhny Novgorod).

The Project 745mbs sea tug is a continuation of the Project 745 tug series.

Purpose, main performance characteristics and the contours of the vessel's hull were preserved according to the basic project 745. The composition of the main equipment has changed significantly, which is explained both by the clarification of the technical requirements for the tug and by the improvement of the ship's components. The composition of the power plant and electrical power system of the tug has been completely changed. The direct current electric propulsion system was replaced by an alternating current power plant with a unique rotary induction motor, first used on ships of this class. The power plant is supplied from the vessel's unified electrical power system. This made it possible to install a bow thruster on the tug and significantly increase the maneuverability of the vessel, which is very important when carrying out rescue operations on emergency ships and vessels. The composition of communication and navigation tools has been changed. Project 745mbs is equipped with modern radio and navigation equipment domestically produced, accepted for supply to the Navy. Additionally, provision is made for the installation of radio equipment for operation in the GMDSS.

The Project 745mbs tug complies with the rules of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. In this regard, the ship is equipped with fire-fighting equipment that corresponds to the P2V RS symbol. The productivity of the trunks has been increased from 400 to 500 m3/hour and the flight range of the water jet has been increased from 80 to 100 meters. This also increases the tug's ability to fight fires on emergency ships, vessels and onshore facilities.

The project 745mbs vessel is intended for: towing ships and vessels; refloating ships and vessels; extinguishing fires on emergency ships (vessels) and coastal structures; performing survey work using a small-sized remote-controlled underwater vehicle; evacuation of people from the surface of the water.

At the initiative of the Yaroslavl Shipyard, the tugboat, construction number 444, was given the actual name “Viktor Konetsky” in honor of the outstanding marine painter and captain long voyage.

Information about the 745MBS project

The Project 745MBS sea tug is a continuation of the Project 745 tug series.

Sea rescue tugs of Project 745 (in the Marine units of the KGB of the USSR, these vessels, armed with AK-230 guns, were classified as PSKR 2nd rank of Project 745P) with a propulsion system with a power of 3000 hp. and with a displacement of about 1600 tons, designed by the Leningrad Central Design Bureau "Baltsudoproekt", the Yaroslavl Shipyard has been building using the in-line method for the Navy and the Morpograrian Guard since 1972.

Until the early 1990s. 40 units of Project 745 and 34 units of Project 1454 were transferred to customers (Project 745 in the civilian version, intended for the Ministry of Marine Fleet).

In September 2006, the last, 41st tug from the series of this project for the construction of the Yaroslavl Shipyard was transferred to the North-Eastern Border Directorate of the Coast Guard of the FSB of Russia. Having covered the path from the Volga to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and passed through three oceans and nine seas, of which the passage of the purely Northern Sea Route took only 18 days, the PSKR earned excellent praise from border guards due to the high degree of its reliability, equipment, communications, radio navigation and fire control.

Project 745 ships are basically diesel-electric ice-class rescue tugs, which are considered one of the best multifunctional ships. Their capabilities are not limited to patrolling, inspecting and detaining ships. They are capable of conducting search rescue operations, complex sea towing, assistance to ships in distress and rescuing people at sea in any area of the world's oceans and in any weather conditions. As experts note, the Project 745P tugboat is one of the best multifunctional border ships serving as part of the Coast Guard of the FSB of Russia and the Russian Navy in various maritime theaters.

Despite the fact that the project is already 35 years old, interest in it does not disappear. An example of this is the Project 745MBS tugboat currently under construction at the Yaroslavl Shipyard for the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is a deep modernization of a well-proven project.

The purpose, main performance characteristics and contours of the vessel's hull have been preserved according to the basic design. The composition of the main equipment has changed significantly, which is explained both by the clarification of technical requirements for the tug and by the improvement of ship components. The composition of the power plant and electrical power system of the tug has been completely changed. The direct current electric propulsion system was replaced by an alternating current power plant with a unique rotary induction motor, first used on ships of this class. This made it possible to install a bow thruster on the tug and significantly increase the maneuverability of the vessel, which is very important when carrying out rescue operations on emergency ships and vessels. The composition of communication and navigation tools has been changed. Project 745MBS is equipped with modern radio and navigation equipment of domestic production, accepted for supply to the Navy.

The productivity of the shafts has been increased from 400 to 500 m3/hour and the flight range of the water jet from 80 to 100 m. This also increases the tug’s capabilities for fighting fires on emergency ships, vessels and onshore facilities.

WE'VE BEEN PREPARING FOR THIRTY YEARS...

He went from assistant to sea captain. Writer and screenwriter inspired by the sea. Viktor Viktorovich Konetsky visited the Arctic and Antarctic.

Now his heavyweight namesake will continue his work in the oceans. A tug named after the great writer was launched near St. Petersburg.

The Project 745 sea tugboat “Viktor Konetsky” was built specifically for the Ministry of Defense for search and rescue operations. The crew - 22 people - was recruited from different parts of the fleet. Most of them are retired Navy officers.

The ship arrived in St. Petersburg from Yaroslavl. It was produced by a local shipyard. This is also a significant event for him. An order from the military worth about half a billion rubles literally lifted the plant from its knees. Before Konetsky, tugboats had not been produced for more than twenty years. Still, the crisis left the industry suffering.

If you ask a yachtsman, he will tell you that he studies hydrometeorology to avoid cyclones. This is not necessary with this ship. The tug, on the contrary, must go where it is dangerous,” says Gennady Kharin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Yaroslavl Shipbuilding Plant. - The project itself is already thirty years old. During this time we changed the saturation of the ship. Today, everything progressive regarding technology is collected here: the engine, radio navigation.

…AND TESTED FOR A YEAR

The exclusivity of the tug is that it can rescue ships anywhere in the world's oceans. Capable of withstanding any weather. The ship even has a remote-controlled device, with the help of which it is possible to carry out underwater technical work at a depth of up to three hundred meters.

With the advent of cold weather, “Viktor Konetsky” became especially in demand in the Baltic, since it can even cut through ice. The sailors themselves call the tug “lifesaver”. They say he will be a reliable comrade for other ships. If necessary, it will take it in tow; in case of a fire, it will extinguish it, pull it to the port, and evacuate people.

On January 15, “Viktor Konetsky” was blessed for search work. At the ninth berth of the port in Lomonosov, the Navy flag was officially raised above it. The writer's widow Tatyana Valentinovna was invited to the ceremony. For good luck, she gave the crew a portrait of her husband and an icon of the saint and the “Burning Bush” with prayers in “life-threatening situations.”

If Viktor Viktorovich had been on the ship that day, friends of the writer and the captain say, he would have wished the sailors good service and drank a glass seven feet under the keel.

Books make people kinder, says Tatyana Akulova-Konetskaya. - If young people read, they will become better people. This means that Russia has a maritime destiny.

The tug was launched in December 2012. He underwent testing for a year. On December 6, the acceptance certificate for the sea tugboat was finally signed in Kronstadt. It is already expected in the Gulf of Aden as a supply ship.

Now the Russian fleet declares its presence on Novaya Zemlya, notes the first deputy general director Yaroslavl Shipyard Vyacheslav Karpov. - It is quite possible that he will be sent there too. Specifications will allow you to withstand any storm. If you launch an icebreaker ahead, it will pass.

Satisfied sailors rub their hands with impatience.

Let’s go where the Baltic Fleet sends us,” smiles Captain 1st Rank Konstantin Antonov. He has 25 years of service behind him. “You just can’t imagine what I’m experiencing right now.” I, like any sailor of my generation, read Konetsky’s books. I retired a year ago, and now it’s such a gift of fate to steer a ship with the name of my favorite writer.
