LITERARY JOURNEY “MUSEUM OF GRANDFATHER KORNEY’S TALES”

Leading: Not far from Moscow, in the village of Peredelkino, in small house For many years there lived a tall, gray-haired man whom all the children in the country knew. It was he who came up with many fairy-tale heroes: Muhu-Tsokotuhu, Barmaleya, Moidodyra. The name of this wonderful man was Korney Chukovsky. On April 1, 2007, if he had lived, he would have turned 125 years old. Korney Chukovsky is the literary pseudonym of the writer. His real name is Nikolai Vasilyevich Korneychukov. He got up very early, as soon as the sun rose, and immediately got to work. In spring and summer I dug in the garden or in the flower garden in front of the house, in winter I cleared the paths from the snow that had fallen overnight. After working for several hours, he went for a walk. He walked surprisingly easily and quickly, sometimes he even started racing with the kids he met while walking. It was to these kids that he dedicated his book “From Two to Five.” Scientist, writer, translator, literary critic, K. Chukovsky wrote many poems and fairy tales for children. K. Chukovsky became a children's poet and storyteller by accident. And it turned out like this. His little son fell ill. K. Chukovsky took him on the train. The boy was capricious, moaning, crying. In order to somehow entertain him, his father began to compose him a fairy tale: Once upon a time there was a crocodile, He walked the streets.

The boy suddenly became quiet and began to listen. K. Chukovsky's fairy tales help all children navigate the world around them and make them feel like a fearless participant in imaginary battles for justice, for goodness and freedom. The poems of K. Chukovsky cultivate the ability to empathize, sympathize, and rejoice. Let us all rejoice together and watch a dramatization of excerpts from K. Chukovsky’s fairy tales.

We will encounter the works of K.I. Chukovsky many more times. In high school you will meet Chukovsky the translator. He translated from English “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen”, “The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe”, “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”, “The Poor Prince”, “Rikki - Tiki - Tavi” and other books.

Irakli Andronikov wrote that “Chukovsky has inexhaustible talent, smart, brilliant, cheerful, festive. Never part with such a writer for the rest of your life.”

7. SUMMING UP THE RESULTS AND AWARDING THE WINNERS

Sometimes the heroes of fairy tales become so real that they feel cramped between the bookshelves. They leave the pages of their favorite books, turn into monuments, walk the streets of cities and even make cozy homes for themselves. Then museums dedicated to fairy-tale characters appear all over the world, where children and adults flock as if on wings. After all, who doesn’t dream of being in a fairy tale at least for a moment?

“Fairy tales are like old friends, you need to visit them from time to time,”- American writer George Martin once said. Don't waste a minute!

Baron Munchausen Museum, Latvia

Do you know, dear friend, that the most truthful storyteller in the world - Baron Munchausen - is not a fictional character, but a real person. He lived in the 18th century and even visited Ukraine.

The Baron Munchausen Museum is located in the Latvian manor Dunte. The owners of the estate claim that it was here that the best years of the life of the baron and his wife passed. Here he pulled himself out of the swamp, planted a cherry tree between the antlers of a deer and flew to the Moon riding on the cannonball. It was here that I found my soul mate - the daughter of the owner of the estate.

A five-kilometer path with bizarre wooden monuments leads from Munchausen’s house to the sea: a hare with eight legs, flying fish, etc. The atmosphere of his time is created in the baron’s museum. The house is filled with hunting trophies, and at the entrance guests are greeted by the owner of the house himself, however, in the form wax figure. But who knows, maybe she comes to life at night?

Miracles make your eyes widen. Fans of Harry Potter can spend hours wandering among the mysterious scenery of the film: stroll through Diagon Alley with a bunch of shops, sit at the dining tables Great Hall, see Mr. Weasley's flying car, and also learn how the portraits on the walls come to life in the frame.

The highlight of the museum is the Hogwarts school castle, or rather its model, 2.5 m high. Torches burn on the castle towers, and special lighting changes night to day every 4 minutes.

After walking through the halls of the film studio, you can have a snack in the “Sweet Kingdom” and buy a broom, a magic wand or a robe as a souvenir.

Mary Poppins Museum, Australia

And not far from the estate is a coastal park, very similar to the one described in the books about the sorceress nanny.

If you arrive here on time summer holidays, be sure to visit the Mary Poppins Festival. During the holiday, races for local nannies are held here, steam locomotives are launched, and competitions are held kites and drawings on the asphalt. It will be fun!

Sculptural group “Make way for ducklings”

A touching mother duck with a brood of ducklings appeared in the park opposite the Novodevichy Convent back in 1991. Heroes of the popular American fairy tale“Make Way for the Ducklings” was given by Barbara Bush to the children of the Soviet Union as a sign of love and friendship. The Moscow duck family is an exact copy of the sculpture composition installed in Boston. According to legend, petting the smallest duckling will bring you good luck.

What unites Doctor Faustus, Baron Munchausen, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, Uncle Tom, Popeye the sailor and little prince? The point is that all these characters have their own museums. This is a great honor for a fictional creature and for its creator. Because the museum of a character is the highest proof of its authenticity and a sign of unconditional nationwide worship of the author.

World museum practice includes several dozen museums of literary, folklore and film characters. Idol-worshippers and curious people from all over the world flock to some museums, while others still bear the burden of “municipal” glory.

Every year, the number of these unusual museums is replenished by Russian apartments, houses, estates and even entire villages dedicated to the lives and adventures of heroes, in whose existence we unconditionally believe throughout the country.

Our country's first museum of a fictional hero was opened in October 1972, 45 years ago, in the village of Vyra near Leningrad. For reasons of literary political correctness, the proud right of the first swallow was given to the character born under Pushkin’s quill pen with nut ink - Samson Vyrin.

The place was not chosen by chance - having covered 70 versts, the messengers stopped for the night or changed horses at the third station of the Belorussian Highway - Vyra. Based on archival documents and descriptions from the story “The Station Warden,” the house has carefully recreated the atmosphere of a road station from the era of Nicholas I. In every object, in every little thing, the soul of a fictional hero lurks - here is an unfinished sundress, here is a laced book, the table is set for tea - it seems An elderly father and daughter went out and are about to return to continue unraveling and unraveling their eternal sad plot.

No. 2. Museum of Literary Heroes "Belkin's Tales"

The village of Lvovka, located in the Bolsheboldinsky district Nizhny Novgorod region, since the 17th century it was the patrimony of the Pushkins and was named after the poet’s grandfather, Lev Alexandrovich. In 2005, a museum of the heroes of “Belkin’s Tales” was opened in the manor’s estate behind the Luchinnik grove.

Ivan Petrovich Belkin's room

One of the rooms of the mansion is dedicated to Ivan Petrovich Belkin - a fictional author of stories - his portrait hangs here, there is a bent chair, reclining on which the narrator snored in his sleep - try not to believe in the reality of this character! The remaining rooms are ideal settings for the five stories in the series. In Liza Muromskaya’s room, a peasant dress hangs carelessly on a chair; further we find the assembled chest of Marya Gavrilovna; then we go into the room where Silvio left a shot-through red cap on the table an inch from his forehead...

The house itself, with its charming old provincialism, and its entire landscape surroundings are perceived as genuine illustrations of the Belkin cycle. Everything here is genuine, honest, real.

No. 3. Museum of the poem "Anna Snegina"

Kashina's estate. Photo: ny.rzn.info

In 1995, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Yesenin’s birth, the Anna Snegina Museum was opened in Konstantinov. The last Konstantinovskaya landowner Lydia Kashina, who was friends with the poet for many years, became the prototype of the main character - a young noblewoman, the youthful love of the protagonist Sergushi. It was in the Kashina estate that the museum’s exposition was located.

Thanks to many photographs and authentic items that once belonged to Kashina-Snegina, and dozens of letters written by her legendary fellow villager, reality here is so intertwined with fiction that it is no longer possible to separate real story from a beautiful essay.

No. 4. Museum of "Two Captains"

Museum of V. A. Kaverin

Remember, “Fight and seek, find and don’t give up”? IN hometown Veniamin Kaverina - A museum of the novel “Two Captains” has been operating in Pskov since 2002. In the very center of the museum, a flag with the famous motto flies on a mast, and the exhibits tell about the prototypes of the main characters, about the concept of the novel and, of course, about the development of the Far North.

“Two Captains” is a work of difficult fate. The book, which embodied the dream of all post-war boys and served as the basis for one of the best adventure Soviet films, is inextricably linked in our memory with the terrible tragedy of the late twentieth century - the musical Nord-Ost. Therefore, the Museum of “Two Captains” is also a place of memory.

The routes of Brusilov, Sedov, Tatarinov are laid out on huge maps of the North. Young visitors who adore museums where they are allowed to touch everything will experience magnetic ships legendary routes using a real ship's compass. Here in this unusual museum, the spirit of heroic adventure is in the air. It’s worth going here to follow your childhood dreams and to have something to dream about.

No. 5. "Bad apartment"

The Bulgakov State Museum on Sadovaya-Spasskaya, 10 in Moscow today is better known as Woland’s apartment or “Bad Apartment”. According to the text of the legendary novel, Woland, having sent Styopa Likhodeev to Yalta, settled here, in apartment No. 50, in a real communal hell. In fact, the writer himself lived in this apartment from 1921 to 1924. By the way, according to legend, a certain Anna Goryacheva, the same Annushka, lived in this same place.

Bad apartment No. 50 is located on the fifth floor of a five-story building. From the window there is a view of the opposite wing of the house and another “bad apartment” associated with “The Master and Margarita” - apartment No. 34, which also served as a prototype for a place with bad energy.

Interesting fact – in St. Petersburg there is also a “bad apartment”. Only not Bulgakovskaya, but Tolstoy. Its number is 60 and it is located on the sixth floor of a six-story building on the embankment of the Fontanka River.

No. 6. Ostap Bender Museum

Museum of Ostap Bender Kozmodemyansk. Photo: kvartirka.com

Warmly loved by housewives, widows and even a woman - a dental technician, the romantic adventurer Mr. O. Bender was awarded two museums - in St. Petersburg and in Kozmodemyansk.

Once a year, during the Benderiada festival, Kozmodemyansk is renamed New Vasyuki and turns into a carnival of humor. Fans of Ilf and Petrov come here for an “interplanetary” chess tournament and an auction where you can buy a chair with diamonds. When the city takes a break from the holiday, Benderomaniacs can visit the museum - an old merchant mansion, designated as the place of military glory of the legendary literary hero.

In 1995, the Bender Museum opened in St. Petersburg. Following the inimitable style of the protagonist, the museum was closed several times. However, he always received a new birth, the last of which occurred quite recently - in the summer of 2016.

The museum's exhibition features authentic items, copies of those that appear in the novel - the famous tea strainer, Kisa Vorobyaninov's pince-nez, a table from the "Horns and Hooves" office and, of course, a weight that you can even try to saw through. To the perplexed question “Why, suddenly, St. Petersburg?”, the creators of the museum answer this way: according to one version, the prototype of Bender was Osip Shor - a bright, adventurous gentleman who lived here during his student days. Subsequently, Osip Shor was noticed as an imaginary promising groom, a great chess player and a great artist... A recognizable character, in a word.

No. 7. Snow Maiden Museum

The Snow Maiden's Tower in Kostroma, photo: intel-tour.ru

The museum of this literary character was opened in 2008 in Kostroma. It was here in 1873 that Ostrovsky, inspired by Afanasyev’s fairy tales, composed a play about a pale, fair-haired girl, the daughter (!) of Father Frost and Spring-Red. The play remained unnoticed by the public for almost ten years, until he wrote an opera of the same name based on it.

In addition to the Snow Maiden, other representatives of folklore “live” in the museum, from brownies to the cat Bayun. In the museum you can see the sleigh on which the Snow Maiden and Father Frost deliver gifts to children, visit the Ice Room and even try a snow cocktail.

No. 8. Cheburashka Museum

A museum in a school is all right, but a museum in a kindergarten – is this even conceivable?! It turns out yes. In Moscow, not far from the Vykhino metro station, in kindergarten and school No. 2031 there are two exhibition sites dedicated to Cheburashka. In front of the entrance there is a telephone booth in which the beloved children's hero lived, inside there is the story of the creation of a touching and strange creature and many of its incarnations - “Cheburashka” crafts.

By the way, the initiator of the creation of the museum was himself; he spent a long time looking for like-minded people in publishing houses, but found them only... in kindergarten. Today, according to Uspensky, Cheburashka has surpassed the author himself in popularity.

No. 9. Village of Prostokvashino

– a master of embodying literary heroes. The heroes of tales from the life of Prostokvashino, just like Cheburashka, should soon acquire an address and a museum. In the Tonkin district of the Nizhny Novgorod region there is the village of Prostokvashino. It has 17 houses and 10 inhabitants.
