Motor ship project 301 diagrams diametrically. Shipyard in Boitzenburg. Archive photos. local single-tier cabin of the motor ship "Nikolai Chernyshevsky"

All the well-known four-deck motor ships of projects 301 and 302 were born in Boitzenburg. The shipyard built motor ships commissioned by the USSR from 1975 to 1991. A total of 22 motor ships of Project 301 and 27 motor ships in various modifications of Project 302 were built. All these ships were supplied to various shipping companies of the USSR, the last three motor ships went all the way to China, and the 28th motor ship of Project 302 was never completed. This post contains some photographs from the “family nest”, from the shipyard archives. I’ve already posted some of the photos before, but I think if there are repetitions, it won’t be a big deal.

#1. Probably the most famous photograph from the shipyard. Launching of the motor ship "Marshal Koshevoy" (summer 1988). "Marshal Koshevoy" after completion will go to work in Ukraine. Then in 2011 it will be transported to Russia. Now the ship is called "Viking Akun" and is undergoing refurbishment in St. Petersburg.

#2. Another launching of the Project 302 motor ship. The construction number on the bilge is unreadable. The caption to the photo indicates that the descent took place on May 1st.

#3. And on board this ship you can see the name. This . Now only memories remain of him, but here is a photo from his birthday.

#4. Separately from the hull, elements of the ship's superstructure are placed on barges. Ahead is a passage under the bridges of Hamburg, where there is no way to get through with a fully assembled four-deck superstructure.

#5. Also part of the superstructure and a pipe.

#6. Wiring of the motor ship "Konstantin Simonov" under the bridges of Hamburg. The two upper decks have been dismantled. Then the superstructure of the ship will be assembled and it will continue its journey.

#7. Assembling sections of the future ship.

#8. The hull of the Project 301 motor ship before launching. There is another almost finished ship ahead.

#9. After passing the limiting bridges, the superstructure is again installed in place and the ship is ready. The ship "Alexander Green" is being assembled in Hamburg.

#10. The motor ship "Alexander Green" at the Kiel Canal lock. The ship is fully assembled and ready for further transportation. Alas, the ship will not reach the Volga-Don Shipping Company, for which it was built. Russia will refuse to buy it and it will end up in China, where.

#eleven. Motor ship of project 302 at the quay wall of the shipyard.

#12. A ceremonial event on the occasion of the launching of the next motor ship - "Marshal Rybalko" (project 302). Today it is called "Zirka Dnipra" and operates on the Dnieper and the Black Sea.

#13. An event for greater solemnity with an orchestra.

#14. A mandatory procedure when launching a ship is to break a bottle of champagne on the side.

#15. Last preparations.

#16. Ready!

#17. The steering device and propellers of the newly built Project 301 motor ship. It was this steering device that was invented and patented by the German Boitzenburg shipyard designer Friedrich Enckel. Taking into account the powerful thrusters, the German four-deck ships were distinguished by excellent maneuverability.

#18. After additional assembly, the official handover of the new ships took place. The Soviet flag was raised on the ships.

#20. Soviet captains came to Germany to receive their future ships.

#21. In the wheelhouse of the new ship.

#22. Today, standard interiors have been preserved on a few ships and they no longer impress many people. But in those years when the ships were just being built, they were super comfortable. Therefore, many booklets were full of photographs of cabins and interior spaces. Single cabin.

#23. Living room of a luxury cabin.

#24. The upper restaurant of the ship.

#25. Relaxation salon.

#26. Internal stairs in corridors.

#28. And now some newly built ships. The motor ship "30 Years of the GDR" at the landing stage.

#29. The motor ship "Akademik Viktor Glushkov" now "Igor Stravinsky" with his family long name on board.

#thirty. The newly built motor ship "Quiet Don" is the fifth of Project 301 (the first series of the project).

#31. The motor ship "Taras Shevchenko" is the last motor ship of Project 302MK and, in general, the last passenger motor ship to hit the waterways of the post-Soviet space. After 1991, new ships were no longer supplied to Russia and Ukraine. "T.G. Shevchenko" today is located on the Caspian Sea, where.

#32. Motor ship "Vladimir Mayakovsky" project 301.

#33. In Boitzenburg, not only passenger ships, but also cargo ships were built by order of the USSR. Mixed river-sea container ships of Project 326. In the photo: "STK-1001".

#34. Refrigerated motor ships of Project 037. In the photo: "Refrigerator-601" (decommissioned and dismantled in 2005).

#35. Refrigerated motor ships of Project 342. In the photo: "Roslau" (currently not in operation). Only three of these ships were built in 1990. All of them are in Yakutia, two are working safely.

#36. One of the bulk carriers before launching.

#37. It is a pity that all Sudoimport contracts were abandoned. By the beginning of the 90s, the shipyard in Boitzenburg had prepared several new project proposals river boats. So, for example, new three-deck motor ships of Project 311 were supposed to come to our rivers - a very cute, scaled-down copy of Project 302. But they could be running now like this...

#38. Also a very famous photograph in river communities. In the foreground is the hull of some kind of offshore cargo ship. It's not him that we're interested in. Please note that in the background, near the quay wall, there is a hull of a motor ship without a superstructure. This is the last of the Project 302 motor ships laid down at the shipyard. It was intended for the USSR and was to be called “Vladimir Vysotsky”. They only managed to build the hull when it became clear that Russia would not buy the ship. The hull stood at the shipyard for several years, after which a pleasure boat-restaurant for Amsterdam was built on its basis.

That's all from Boitzenburg for now. I'll scan the book sometime.

The most comfortable ships on this moment. Accordingly, trips to them are the most expensive. Most of the airliners serve foreigners on the route Moscow - St. Petersburg.

Motor ships of project 301 (type VLADIMIR ILYICH, German designation 125M, vessel 125 meters) - large passenger ships intended to accomplish river cruises, which became the first mass series of ships of this class in the USSR. The ships have single, double and triple cabins equipped with bathrooms and air conditioning, a restaurant, a bar, two lounges, a cinema hall with a sliding roof, and a souvenir kiosk. Behind last years The internal equipment of some ships has been modernized to keep them up to modern standards.

The vessels were manufactured in Germany at the shipbuilding plant VEB Elbewerften Boizenburg / Rosslau.

The original design was modified after several ships were built. Externally, modified ships differ from those built according to the original design by solid rather than mesh bulwarks, rounded rather than rectangular cabin windows and other design elements. On later ships the power of the bow thruster was increased. Two vessels were built with a reduced hull beam. A highly modified continuation of the series is Project 302.

In total for the period 1974 - 1983. Motor ships pr. 301, 22 units were built, of which 6 were of the original design.

Motor ships pr. 301 are operated: in Russia - on the Volga, Kama, Don, rivers and lakes of the Volga-Baltic waterway, Amur; in Ukraine - on the Dnieper with access to the Black Sea along the coast of Crimea. Basically they work for tourist routes: Moscow - St. Petersburg, Moscow - Astrakhan and other routes along the Volga, Kyiv - Odessa, as well as on shorter routes: St. Petersburg - Valaam, Moscow - Uglich, Kyiv - Kanev. During the inter-voyage and inter-navigation periods, motor ships can be used as floating hotels. Vessels of this type were supplied to the North-Western, Volga, Moscow, White Sea-Onega, Volga-Don, Kama, Amur Shipping Companies of Russia, and the Ukrainian Dnieper Shipping Company.

River passenger ships of Project 301 are large passenger ships designed for river cruises. Project 301 is the first series of cruise ships built for our country, not transport ships.
The construction of Project 301 ships for our country was carried out at the VEB Elbewerften Boizenburg / Rosslau shipbuilding plant in Boizenburg (East Germany). The lead ship of the series was the motor ship “Vladimir Ilyich” (current name “St. Petersburg”), launched in 1974. The construction of Project 301 ships was carried out in three series. Later ships differ from the first series in their external design and some equipment of the vessel. So on the ships of the second series, unlike the first, there appeared solid bulwarks instead of mesh, rounded cabin windows instead of rectangular ones, and spotlights under the onboard control posts in the wheelhouse. The vessels of the third series were equipped with a more powerful thruster. A total of 22 motor ships of Project 301 were built.

The constructed motor ships of Project 301 were distributed to the North-Western, Volga, Volga-Don, Dnieper, Moscow, White Sea-Onega, Kama and Amur shipping companies. In the 90s, two Russian motor ships were sold abroad, where they were used as berth vessels. The rest of the ships continue to operate today, mainly they make tourist cruises between Moscow and St. Petersburg, some ships make cruises along the Volga.

Initially, Project 301 on the ships provided for one-, two-, three-berth cabins, each of which was equipped with an individual bathroom, restaurant premises, cafes, lounges and a cinema hall with sliding walls and a roof. The air in the passenger areas of the ship was air conditioned. During operation, the ships underwent modernization - thus, the salons on some ships were transformed into bars, cinema halls were converted into bars and conference rooms, on some ships the premises of the upper hall were expanded by dismantling sliding walls and roofs. The cabins were partially remodeled; on some ships the number of luxury and semi-luxury cabins was increased by combining several standard cabins into one. To date, two ships have undergone a comprehensive modernization in Romania with a complete redevelopment of passenger premises; elevators have been installed on these ships in the main span, and passenger capacity has been reduced. For work in the North-Western direction (Lake Ladoga and Onega), the ships are equipped big amount life-saving equipment(life rafts) to meet the requirements of class “M”.

Basic specifications Project 301 vessels:
Vessel length: 125 m
Vessel width: 16.7 m
Vessel height (from main line): 15.9 m
Number of passenger decks: 4 (additional passenger cabins in the hold)
Average driving speed: 24-26 km/h
Number of main engines: 3
Power of each engine: 1000 l/s
River Register class: “O” (inland waterways, rivers and reservoirs, passage through Lakes Ladoga and Onega with limited wave height))
