Twin palms resort 3 pattaya reviews

Twin Palms Resort 3* is located in the central part of Pattaya between Beach and Second streets. The location of the hotel is one of its main advantages.

Proximity of the establishment to all infrastructure resort town and at the same time, peace and quiet are conducive to a family holiday with children of all ages.

The fenced area with fountains and statues is compact, blooming and well-groomed. The hotel buildings are surrounded by the greenery of a beautiful tropical park. In the greenery of spreading trees live colorful birds, giving holidaymakers their singing, and nimble squirrels scurry along the branches, delighting children.

Rooms

The resort complex consists of three residential three-story buildings.

Families with children are better off staying in the quietest middle building with balconies, terraces and views of the park, then peace, as well as cleanliness and comfort are guaranteed.

The balconies of the rooms in the first building face Second Street - it can be a bit noisy there, but in the third building there are no balconies at all.

The rooms are small in size, but cozy and equipped with everything necessary for comfortable rest. In the apartments, guests will find comfortable beds, a spacious wardrobe, a sofa, a table, chairs, an ottoman, a large mirror, and furniture for relaxation on the balcony. From household appliances— flat-screen TV, air conditioning and mini refrigerator. Please note that there is no electric kettle or hairdryer. There is a free safe at the reception. Vacationers have access to 24-hour hot water and high-speed Wi-Fi. A baby cot can be installed in any of the rooms at guests' request at no additional charge.

The technical condition of the rooms in the 2020 season is good, there are no complaints about the plumbing and household appliances, everything works without interruptions. The premises are decorated in a classic hotel style in pastel colors. The ivory tiled floors are polished to a shine. The bathrooms are equipped with showers. The rooms are cleaned daily, bed and towels are changed every three days.

There is a canteen on site. The price of the tour includes breakfast, organized on a buffet basis.

The morning meals are standard and, as tourists write in their reviews, high quality and deliciously prepared. Every day the assortment is almost the same - an omelet with different fillings of the choice of holidaymakers, which is prepared right in the hall, side dishes - rice, potatoes, pasta, boiled sausages, ham, meat in gravy, stewed vegetables, cold cuts, cereals and muesli. A mandatory dish is Thai soup, two types daily, but often spicy and not suitable for a child’s diet. For dessert - fresh pastries, pancakes with jam and honey, two or three types of fruit. Drinks include tea, coffee, milk and juices.

There is no children's menu as such on the buffet, but almost everything that is served in the dining room can be eaten even by children.

If your child prefers dairy dishes, curds and yoghurts, then there may be problems with them in the cafeteria, so it is better to purchase these products in supermarkets.

We can safely say that after a hearty and satisfying breakfast, hunger will not come soon to vacationers. Let's consider where you can have lunch and dinner in Pattaya? Well, firstly, you can order lunch or dinner at an on-site restaurant for an additional fee, and secondly, visit one of the many establishments in the city, of which walking distance great amount. Thailand will delight you with delicious cuisine and a huge offer of exotic Asian and familiar European dishes. Don't worry - neither you nor your kids will go hungry. The only advice is that if you don’t want your food to be spicy, just tell the waiter “No Spicy.”

Staff

The staff of the establishment is unobtrusive, but welcoming and friendly. Thais treat Russian tourists very well, they love children, but they practically do not understand the Russian language. Of course, the hotel has guides from travel companies, helping our compatriots communicate. But you should definitely take care of the dictionary. Download the app to your smartphone or take an English-Russian phrasebook with you - this will ease the language problem.

The reception is open 24 hours a day. They move in quickly enough, often ahead of schedule and without additional payments. In general, the service of the establishment corresponds to the declared “three stars” category. There are practically no complaints from guests about the work of maids, waiters and bartenders.

Entertainment and animation

The beautiful green area of Twin Palms will give guests of the establishment many pleasant emotions and impressions. Among the tropical trees and in the greenery of bright flowering bushes, colorful memorable photos and videos are obtained, the singing of birds caresses the ear and gives peace. The nimble squirrels are not at all afraid of people, they go down to the balconies and happily take treats from the hands of vacationers.

In the center of the courtyard there are swimming pools - a large one with a depth of 160 centimeters for adults and a shallow one with a depth of 60 centimeters for children. The water in the pool is clean and warm. There are sun loungers and straw umbrellas around the pond, and there is a bar nearby.

Animation and any entertainment events in three-star hotels in Thailand are rarely found, because the surrounding area is full of entertainment. In most cases, vacationers leave the hotel building for the whole day, go on excursions, swim and sunbathe, admire the beauty and sights of the country and visit all kinds of attractions and parks in Pattaya.

Beach

The hotel is located between the first and second coastline and has two exits - to the city center and to Beach Street. In order to get to the beach, tourists will need to cross one road.

Vacationers choose for themselves where it is best for them to sunbathe and swim. The establishment does not have its own equipped beach. Today you can stay right in front of the hotel, tomorrow move a little to the side, and the day after tomorrow take a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride to Wangomat Beach. Some tourists do not want to visit city beaches, but prefer to go to the islands. Here, as they say, the master is the master.

The sea and the beach in any part of the resort are safe for children to swim in - the coast is smooth, the beach is sandy, the entry into the sea is smooth, the bottom is without rocks, and storms are rare.

A special feature of municipal beaches is the presence of traders, sales tents, rental of beach equipment and all kinds of beach entertainment.

Location and surroundings

The distance from Twin Palms to the airport in Bangkok is about 120 kilometers, the transfer takes on average 1.5-2 hours. Travel time passes quickly, thanks to beautiful scenery Thailand and stories from guides.

In the vicinity of the hotel, within a few steps, there is everything that any tourist might need - supermarkets, all kinds of cafes and restaurants with Thai and international cuisine, a massage parlor, tour desks, a pharmacy, a market, shopping centers. The city has a lot of entertainment for children. You can book the Twin Palms Resort 3* hotel in Pattaya on its official website, but to save up to 80% use the smart search across all booking systems ↓

I stayed at the hotel from April 14 to April 20, 2018. The hotel is very well located in the center of Pattaya: the exit from the hotel is immediately to 2 streets - Beach Road and Second Road. To Volkin Street - 20-25 minutes, by tuk-tuk for 10 baht - 5 minutes, to the pier from Volkin - about another 20 minutes. The hotel area is green, all in flowers and flowering trees and shrubs, mangoes and breadfruit, decorated with animal figures. Squirrels run around the area and birds fly. There are fish living in a small fountain. The hotel consists of 4 three-story buildings. The hotel has two swimming pools: a small one near the central building with the reception and a large one near the building where breakfast is held. The pools are clean, the sun loungers are very comfortable, there are tables with chairs, towels are provided upon appointment at the larger pool, they were always available. We arrived at the hotel at about 9 o'clock, check-in is traditionally at 14:00. However, we checked in earlier - about 12 o'clock, as soon as the room became available. There is no deposit. At the reception they don’t speak Russian and very little English, but you can communicate. Upon check-in, you are given vouchers for breakfast. The room was on the second floor, in a building next to the large swimming pool. Double room with a small balcony, on which a clothes dryer could hardly fit. The room has a side view of the Gulf of Thailand. Everything in the room was quite clean, everything worked, the bathroom was clean. TV with 4 Russian channels, mini-fridge with mini-bar. The lighting is not very bright. The air conditioning worked fine. There is no kettle or tea accessories in the room. Instead, in each building on the ground floor there is a cooler with cold and hot water. Towels were changed every day, bed sheets were changed on day 5, toiletries were changed as needed. The maid was good, it was clean. Breakfast - Buffet, quite tasty. The usual set is rice, warm vegetable salad, Thai soup, boiled ham and sausages, chicken and pork in various sauces, sliced vegetables, toast, plums. butter, 2 types of jam, tea bags. Concentrated juice. True, there was little fruit: every day a watermelon, and every other day pineapples or papaya or dragon's eye. Fried eggs or omelette were prepared upon request. It was difficult to stay hungry. True, very modest lunch boxes (if you leave early for an excursion): a small bottle of juice and 2 pieces of toast with jam. This is my second time in Pattaya, I have something to compare with. The hotel is worth its price. On excursions we talked with tourists from other hotels and realized that our hotel was not even bad. I could recommend my friends to stay at this hotel, because... I chose this hotel myself on the recommendation of friends. There are many entertainment places nearby: Alcazar, Tiffany; shopping centers, cafes with seafood, fruit markets and other shops such as “7/11”, “Family Market”, exchange offices (with different rates). I was a little unlucky with my vacation in terms of the fact that Thai was celebrated in Pattaya at that time New Year. It was impossible to leave the hotel or go anywhere: you were constantly doused with water and smeared with talcum powder. You don't look wet, and there was no point in changing clothes. I went to Koh Larn to swim. Now it’s not very comfortable there: there are a lot of Chinese and Indians who don’t swim as much as they take selfies or “photograph” of Europeans. When going on excursions, don’t be fooled by the guides’ talk about “what’s the best and real here: latex, teas, cosmetics, medicines”! There is no point in overpaying 2-3 times for something that you can buy cheaper in Pattaya. I was satisfied with the hotel and vacation!

Fresh impressions.
We stayed at the hotel at the end of September - beginning of October 2019.

Check-in was normal (they quickly gave us a room), but we arrived in the afternoon, not in the morning, so it’s not surprising. We took a room with a balcony and larger square footage.

In the off-season the hotel is half empty, the nationalities are mostly Russian, a few Indians, but the worst of all are the Chinese. There is so much noise from a couple of Chinese people at breakfast that it’s as if the whole hotel is inhabited!

The main advantage of the hotel is its location. It’s not that he’s close to any point, but he’s sort of between everyone tourist places: from here you have to go to the Central Festival, to the Terminal, to Walking Street, not to mention the markets)

Nearby there are massage parlors and shops like 7-11, as well as a bunch of cafes. Prices in the cafe... well, let's say, central))) on excursions we passed through the Jomtien area, out of the corner of my eye I caught the local prices - one and a half times cheaper for everything.

Swimming in central Pattaya is, of course, unrealistic. The water is dirty, there are a lot of motorboats under the shore, in general, they didn’t even try. We went to Woking, and then on foot to the pier, and then by ferry, and then by tuk-tuk or bike to the coveted sea. In general, the hotel is not for those who want to cross the road and plunge into the water.

The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They paid 150-200 dollars for all the days (booked through Booking), but in fact it turned out to be scrambled eggs with a couple of sausages and a piece of bread. The most unfriendly hotel staff works in the restaurant-canteen: the cook does not say hello, gloomily pokes at the menu (scrambled eggs a la carte, fried eggs or omelet), gloomily takes breakfast coupons and just gloomily ignores all other calls to him, like “mine is yours.” don't understand." The breakfast box consists of a couple of sandwiches with jam and a bottle of yuppie juice. Considering that there is a 7-11 nearby, where a delicious hot sandwich with any toppings costs 70-80 cents, the price for breakfast is 5-10 times overpriced. It would be better to take a hotel without meals!

The room is nice at first glance. The bed is quite comfortable, but it creaks so much that the neighbors can hear it. And considering that the audibility between the rooms is high, I highly recommend that hot couples not relax here. The pillows are hard, I slept on a folded towel.
Wi-Fi constantly drops (we were on the second floor). The minibar is full, we didn't use it.

Shower design "on the floor", soap accessories (orange soap called "shampoo" and green "gel") were delivered every morning. Toilet paper enough. I don’t know if the sheets were changed, as well as the towels - they are so “tired” that it’s really unclear whether they are fresh or already used.

The air conditioner was only half working. That is, it cooled, but whether it was +18 or +25, it made no difference to him. What’s really sad is that the “intensive cooling” mode worked for about 30 seconds, then went into slow mode. That is, the room cools slowly and weakly. But at the same time, the Thais shrug their shoulders - they say, it’s humming, it’s working, what else does a farang need?)) Another disadvantage is that the air conditioning is directed strictly at the bed, that is, it may well blow through your shoulder or neck overnight.

The reception staff is staffed by a friendly elderly Thai woman with short hair and a surly Thai man. There are safes only at the reception, and they are closed from 8 pm to 9 am, and we did not take documents with us to the River Kwai (with an overnight stay), but we should have. And then at 6 am we suddenly remembered and rushed to the reception. The Thai immediately froze, saying, “I can’t help.” The Thai woman (we gave her a tip at check-in) ran somewhere to get duplicate keys and voila - everything can be opened, if only there was a desire. Of course, the Thai woman was thanked with a tip again.

Room cleaning is normal. The towels weren't turned, but the floors were swept and the bed was made.
But. Of course, I want to believe in the best that I myself lost... I lost some small things. Cream, earrings (jewelry), roll-on perfume. I usually don't lose or forget things. So I don't know what to think. This is despite the fact that we left tips regularly. Afterwards, I began to pack all the little things into a bag in the morning and hide them.

The fact that there is no kettle in the room is no secret. But given the meager breakfasts, this is a big minus, because you want to eat a sandwich from 7-11 (to compensate for breakfast) with something hot, but this something is missing due to the lack of a kettle.

There are two pools, both small. The first indoor one next to the reception is usually used for diver training. The second one is convenient, next to the dining room. The water is warm, even hot, not refreshing, significantly chlorinated.

We went on excursions through online Pattaya (website). I really liked the excursion with guide Sergei to Khao Kheo; the impressions from the River Kwai were ambivalent - the places were beautiful, but the guide Galina was terrible. Better without a guide than with one. In general, you can find cheaper options locally than in online Pattaya.

Advantageously located budget hotel, with simple rooms, on a narrow, elongated area, near the beach and in the city center - for all categories of tourists.

After reading reviews about the hotel, we decided to choose it. What I didn’t like: breakfast, there were only 3 dishes to choose from - scrambled eggs from 2 eggs with sausages and toast, or an omelet with sausages and toast, or rice with chicken without toast. Instead of orange water, you can take watermelon or pineapple, 4 small slices each. Those. you won’t get stuffed, but after a week you start to feel sick from this monotonous food. This is the first time we have seen such food. We were put in a room with a balcony facing the street, it was noisy all the time, even at night, because... Pattaya doesn't sleep. But we were asleep and didn’t pay attention. The room was small, but there was enough space for us. Everything is neat and clean. On the balcony there is a dryer, 2 chairs and a table. There was no kettle or hairdryer. But we took a small boiler and drank coffee. There is no deposit at the hotel, the safe was taken from the reception, everything is intact. We love to live in hotels for at leastsmall own territory. Everything here was in flowers, well-groomed, clean, the birds were singing, the squirrels were jumping! Nice walk! Sometimes we swam in the outdoor pool, the water was colder than in the sea. Mostly Germans and Italians lived there. Everything is peaceful, quiet. We ate in the food courts of the Festival, BigSea, TescoLotus, Terminal 21. It’s more expensive at the Festival. Be sure to go to the Terminal! Super shopping mall with an original concept, like a park with famous landmarks - the Eiffel and leaning tower of pisa 3-4 floors up, Golden Gate Bridge, London bus and much more, beauty! Located on the second street opposite the dolphins, not far from the Alcazar. We haven’t been to Pattaya for 4 years, many new skyscrapers caught our eye, the new avenue is beautiful with dolphins and a Terminal. But there is a lot of garbage, everywhere, on the island of Koh Larn, in the center of the country. The massage therapists are excellent as always, keep in mind that there is only one Thai massage technique, for 100 or 300 baht. Don't overpay! Checked! On the main street below BigSea-extra there are salons for 100-150 baht per massage. Excursions were taken not far from the hotel on second street. We went to Kwai, I didn’t like it, everything was far-fetched, there was no flavor that was promised. There is practically no market on the water; they sell a little souvenirs. Rafting down a funny river, some 500 meters, no nature. They brought them to the elephants, riding is a dubious event, no fun, I feel sorry for the elephants. Also the monkeys, there is general squalor and dirt there. The hot springs are “tired”, 3 baths, cannot be compared with Vietnam and Sanya. Apart from Erawan Falls and water bungalows, there is nothing to remember. I don’t recommend it, it’s better to take Ayutthaya. The most emotional and beautiful excursions are Nung Nooch Park and Khao Kaew Zoo. Swimmed on the island of Koh Larn on all the beaches. I liked it the most, it’s big, the boats are far away and the Chinese are being unloaded at the edge. Keep in mind that there are a lot of Chinese, they are constantly transported by boats, they have no leisure culture, they come in crowds. We took it on Mokik Island, where there is little traffic and few roads, 200-300 baht per day. The weather is magnificent 30-32 degrees, sunny and cloudy, something dripped twice. We’ve already been to Pattaya 5 times, but we hope not the last, we haven’t seen much yet, a new water park, new excursions to the center of Thailand, etc. See you!
