Fishing in perch bay. "Cote d'Azur" (Okunevaya bay), recreation center. History of Okuneva Bay

Okunevaya Bay, located on the southeast coast Sea of Japan in the Partizansky district of Primorsky Krai, is considered one of best places For beach holiday on Far East. It is adjacent to equally picturesque small bays - Triozerye and Spokoinaya.

Locals also call this small bay Malaya Tazgou. The exotic name remains in memory of the Chinese who once settled in these places, and in the original it sounds like Dazigou (translated as “Taz River”).

Sights of the bay

Until the mid-twentieth century, there was a small village of Tazgou, in which there was a prison settlement directly next to the main beach. Nowadays, on the shore you can see the remains of a sawmill, a forge, and large cement containers. In them, prisoners salted fish, extracted fish oil, and extracted iodine from seaweed by boiling.

The decoration of the bay is considered to be the rocky remains of the most fancy shapes, reminiscent of fairytale landscapes. On the road to it, which goes through the forest, you will be able to pick up a whole basket of mushrooms.

You can sunbathe and swim in crystal clear and warm sea water on three beaches. Two of them are located on the coast of Bolshaya Okunevaya and one is on the coast of Malaya Okunevaya Bay. The entire beach area is covered with fine, purified white sand. The seabed near the shore is also sandy, and entry into the water is very convenient even for small children. However, there is practically no infrastructure in the bay (excluding civilized guest houses), which attracts tourists who prefer to relax as “savages” in a tent camp.

The most popular recreation centers in Okuneva Bay are:

  • "Green's Shore";
  • « Cote d'Azur»
  • "Oasis"
  • "Dream Bay"
  • "Century";
  • Robinson and many others.

Accommodation prices in the bay range on average from 4,000 RUB to 7,000 RUB per day. They include staying in cozy houses with a veranda, kitchen, bathroom, and hot water supply. There are also cafes and canteens for those who do not want to cook themselves. Those who come with kids will be pleased with the presence at each base of a children's inflatable pool and playground. For adults, there are entertainment options such as:

  • diving;
  • boat excursions;
  • visiting the sauna;
  • gym right on the seashore.

The best time to visit Okuneva Bay is from mid-June to the last weeks of September, but you should book places in the houses in advance: during the season, almost all of them are occupied.
