Hotel "Velvet Seasons" Ekaterininsky Kvartal. Complex Velvet Seasons

2019-11-29T16:05:00Z

Polite staff

2019-10-17T07:09:00Z

Location.

No room cleaning.

2019-09-17T04:42:00Z

I liked everything, except for minor flaws. Special respect to the canteen cook for the currant pies.

Wi-fi worked poorly, some days it didn’t work at all. There is no kettle in the room or you can put a cooler in the corridor. The loggia is asking for a table and a chair. And I would like more greenery. Disco under the window until 23. Very loud music

2019-09-14T17:42:00Z

We have been vacationing in the Catherine Quarter for 5 years. Almost everything suits me.

It’s a pity that the hotel’s leisure activities are only for children. It is advisable to equip the kitchens in the apartments with a microwave oven and a normal refrigerator (so that you can cool at least 0.5 liters of water bottle)

2019-07-22T05:27:00Z

Politeness of the staff, comfortable.

2019-07-13T08:55:00Z

The area is beautiful, everything in the dining room is delicious. I liked everything. I’m delighted

2019-07-12T05:25:00Z

Booked through Ostrovok. quickly and reliably

2019-07-11T15:16:00Z

Clean, the sea is nearby)

2019-05-31T11:06:00Z

We booked a hotel at a great price, there was a discount when we flew, I even doubted that we would stay because of such a low cost. But upon arrival I liked everything - excellent. The room has everything, drying clothes on the balcony is a bonus. City-hotel, near the sea, quite calm, good closed guarded area. Nice staff.

The room has very poor sound insulation, you can hear what the neighbors are saying, but this is the problem with most inexpensive economy hotels

2019-05-12T14:19:00Z

Perfect place in Adler. Most clean beach overlooking mountainous Abkhazia. The territory is large, beautiful and well-groomed, the infrastructure is convenient. I liked having lunch at Aquatoria. There is a first aid station on site; I even had to go to it because I felt unwell due to hypothermia after the heat - it helped a lot. The room is quite new and clean. The staff is friendly.

The drain in the bathroom did not work well and sometimes there was a slight smell of sewage. But overall a very decent option for the money.

2019-03-23T06:57:00Z

Clean bed

It's dark in the bathroom, which makes it very uncomfortable. At the entrance to each building it is written “Restaurant”, which there is no smell of. The hotel doesn't even have a water cooler. I didn't want to stay there

2018-09-30T10:10:00Z

We stay both in winter (for skiing) and in summer. Great beach V walking distance, public transport nearby. Delicious breakfasts! And in winter we also take dinners, according to the menu, when after the mountains there is no strength to go anywhere)

Nothing. Combination of price/quality. The bed was not made...maybe not included in the service, or maybe simply because we were only there for the weekend, 2 nights

2018-08-27T06:08:00Z

Peace and quiet

No Wi-Fi on the second floor

2018-08-26T09:24:00Z

Good location, close to bus stops. We didn't take food because... Nearby there are shops "Pyaterochka", "Magnit" and canteens with affordable prices. There is also a dining room "Pavilion" on the territory; we were there once. Portions are small, prices are the same as in other canteens. Hotel area. Despite the large number of vacationers, it is very clean. No cigarette butts, no pieces of paper, no broken glass - everything is licked clean. There is animation in the evening, but it’s somehow boring. Bicycle rentals are available on site. There is a price tag of 300 rubles per day. In reality, 700 rubles. They asked to show those over 300. He waves towards three really dead bikes with tires worn down to the ground, brakes and gear shifters not working. The rooms are generally good. I was surprised by the lack of a kettle and water coolers in the building. You have to go to the reception for hot water. The bathroom has a bathtub, not a shower. At first we were even happy about this circumstance, but then it turned out that the drain plug was missing. They promised to bring it, but they never did. There are also no dispensers for liquid soap or shower gel in the bathroom. Once every three days a maid comes and takes out the trash, changes towels and bed linen and leaves two small pieces of soap and two samples of shampoo. The beach is pebbly and is a 5-7 minute walk, depending on the building. The beach is clean, wide, with real lifeguards on the towers. Dolphins swim close to the beach. Overall we liked the hotel and would return to it again.

Lack of a kettle and soap and soap accessories; weak wi-fi; high cost for sun loungers and umbrellas.

2018-08-02T19:08:00Z

I liked that the sea is much cleaner than central beach"Chaika", but the hotel has nothing to do with it. Another plus is the refrigerator in the room.

All. When we entered the room there was a terrible smell of air freshener, which had not dissipated in 3 days. The light in the bathroom is one light bulb above the door, like in a cave. By the way, the door to the bathroom does not close, there is no lock cylinder in the door and the door is swollen from humidity. There was dust and sand on the floor. The TV is small and strangely turns on the second time. The front door to the room was also difficult to open. They checked us in for about 40 minutes, while the queue was small and there were three receptionists working, well, how they worked, one girl worked, and the other two stood babbling, while the working girl told them to constantly receive guests. The beach is dirty, there are cigarette butts and napkins lying around. The soundproofing was the icing on the cake. At night, the men behind the wall were awakened by the snoring. The common corridor is also dirty and has an unpleasant smell. Even wi-fi hardly works in this hotel. It may be different in other buildings (we lived in building 15), but judging by the reception (and this is the “face” of the hotel), the situation cannot be different there. Number 3261

Territory and rooms

Dining menus

2018-07-22T10:35:00Z

Value for money. The room is not bad and corresponds to the description, except for the cracked doors in the room. There is a lot of things nearby: cafes, canteens, grocery stores (Magnit, Pyaterochka), children's playgrounds..

2018-06-07T11:36:00Z

Very close to the sea and Abkhazia. Great option.

2018-01-21T06:23:00Z

The place is great

There is no food on site at all, the only thing is room service, but simply there is not a glass of tea or coffee and there is no cooler in the lobby. It's quite problematic. leave the complex for any little thing. Apparently this is “out of season”, the water starts out cold and becomes hot; there is quite a long wait in the toilet. Taxis are not allowed into the territory

2017-08-29T10:17:00Z

The location is very convenient!

Limited choice of dining options!

2017-06-15T12:10:00Z

If you're going to Adler: Relax, gain strength, But don't make big holes in your budget. I would recommend the hotel to you: Catherine's Quarter - In the Velvet Seasons network, I visited there once. I was there on a business trip, I liked the hotel! And now I recommend him to my friends. It is cheaper than the hotels that are nearby. But at the same time the sea is close, the Mountains delight your gaze. Relatively comfortable, the restaurant has a buffet, the service, although unobtrusive, is sufficient. In the Imereti resort It is located in silence, the Olympic Park is nearby, you can completely walk in it. Anyone who doesn’t really believe me, so as not to waste time, let him look at the Catherine Quarter on the Internet.

2015-10-08T20:18:00Z

The location of the hotel is excellent. A lot has changed in 3 years. Previously, there was a state farm on this site, but now Olympic Park. The sea is clean, there are plenty of cafes for every budget.

2015-09-26T08:59:00Z

Polite administrators, clean room, proximity to the beach (relative), good breakfasts, availability of a dining room, restaurant, fitness room, bicycle rental on site, good wi-fi.

Hotel - former place accommodation for volunteers at the Olympics. Accordingly, it looks more like a boarding house: there are many identical buildings (you walk as if on an ordinary street). Paid sunbeds on the beach, no Sberbank ATM on site, high prices for extra food.

2015-09-03T15:33:00Z

Good number standard, everything worked, the linen was snow-white, in good condition. Elevator, solid. Breakfast is better than in Turkey 4*. Discounts from the hotel for visiting Sochi Park. Rare exotic plants on the territory, lawns and a reverent attitude towards them. Good parking. Bicycle rental (the most optimal way to travel distances to objects).

At checkpoint No. 1 they cannot clearly explain how to check in and how to enter. There were remnants of something on the pillowcase... There weren't enough cups and coffee for breakfast - 1 day. There is no normal entrance to the sea, rocks and a steep shore. It was impossible to swim in the sea 6 days out of 8 with the sun shining (storm, crazy current with floating logs - I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere at sea, as if they were opening a dam somewhere). Rescuers forbade entry into the sea. The website says that 3 km to the Olympic and Sochi parks. Walking is a bit difficult. Only by car or public transport spotted on the navigator - all 5.5 km. I won’t go to the hotel again, because of the sea and the beach.

2015-08-24T05:09:00Z

Location

Long check-in time at the reception desk, no water coolers

2015-08-15T09:03:00Z

Quite close to the sea. Wi-fi throughout the territory and free parking inside the hotel.

Compared to the summer of 2014, water and slippers have disappeared. Linen changes and room cleaning have become less frequent. Lack of own sun loungers on the beach. In 2014 they were free. The price has increased :(

2014-11-10T20:04:00Z

New buildings, bright room, closed guarded area. Everything worked in the room (TV, split - set for heating). Convenient location close to bus stops. You can calmly take a leisurely walk to Sochi Park (slowly 30-35 minutes) along the embankment or take a minibus in 5-7 minutes. Overall, I liked the hotel - the price/quality ratio is optimal.

Quite a meager choice of buffet (perhaps out of season) - the food was heated (or cooked) the same for breakfast and dinner (we did not have lunch at the hotel).

2014-10-23T05:36:00Z

In principle, everything is at the expected proper level. Good breakfast ( Buffet), polite, non-intrusive staff, cozy and clean courtyard. The single room is small, but has everything you need. Wi-Fi on the fifth floor was always available, the signal was strong and the speed was good. The beach is large and very close. Transport stops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I was there during the Formula 1 stage and even at that time there weren’t many people, in my opinion this is a plus.

The only thing that didn't please me was the occasional smell of sewage in the bathroom. It is also worth mentioning that as of October 2014 there is no appropriate infrastructure near the hotel - you need to walk about 500 meters to a pharmacy, store, cafe.

2014-10-15T11:11:00Z

Everything is alright! The rooms are clean. The staff is polite, all issues are resolved promptly. 300 meters to the beach. the beach is clean. Wi-Fi in the rooms. I liked it very much. I'll definitely come next year.

Catherine's Quarter is a separate hotel complex, which is part of the hotel city "Velvet Seasons".

The hotel has an advantageous location close to major transport hubs: Train Station Adler and international Airport Sochi is 15-20 minutes away. Its own beach area, 5 km long, will delight guests who want to spend a comfortable vacation on the landscaped coast of Imereti Bay.

In the Catherine Quarter you can book apartments with a kitchen, which is important for families with children, as well as those for whom cooking their own meals is important.

The closest distance to the beach is 100 m. This distance may be greater depending on the distance of your particular building.

"Velvet Seasons Catherine's Quarter" has developed infrastructure and a significant range of services offered. The territory where the hotel complex is located is a picturesque landscape with rare species of vegetation from the subtropics. The Ornithological Park is within walking distance from the hotel.

Room types

The variety of room categories at the hotel allows you to choose the appropriate room for each guest, taking into account personal wishes.

Standards with different numbers of seats and rooms are a practical choice for budget holiday. At the same time, any room, regardless of its cost, is regularly cleaned and well equipped, including bathroom amenities and free Internet connection.

  • Standard single one-room (18 sq.m);
  • Standard double one-room (20 sq.m);
  • Standard Comfort two-room (40 sq.m);
  • Apartment with kitchen (45 sq.m). There are no dishes in the room

Each room has a single/double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, lamps, minibar (small refrigerator without freezer). As an additional sleeping place For the third person in a double room there is a folding bed available.

A distinctive feature of the “Catherine Quarter” is the versatility of the service and the variety of amenities that are offered to each guest. People with physical disabilities can be accommodated in special rooms, businessmen and managers have the opportunity to hold negotiations or trainings in equipped conference rooms, and children can easily find entertainment in the children's playgrounds.

Complex Velvet Seasons

This is the most large complex hotels in Sochi. Consists of 3 blocks.

Employees of a travel company persuaded me to go to the Catherine Quarter. Accidentally. I didn't plan any trip. I spent a long time reading reviews about this hotel and about the Velvet Seasons resort town in general.

And yet I decided. I rested from August 6 to August 13, 8 days, 7 nights. I didn’t want to leave, after returning home I wanted to go to the Catherine Quarter again. Lived at Boulevard of Nadezhd, building 42, building 3, 3rd floor, room 3051.

It's great there. The high level of culture and service is simply amazing. I arrived on the evening of August 6, they checked me in within 1 minute 15 seconds.

When I read the reviews, I was scared, as people described terrible, shabby rooms where everything was done anyhow. Now, this is not true. Believe only your eyes.

Of the minor “shortcomings”, if you nitpick, I found only two in the room: a holder for toilet paper it is located not in front, but on the side, and in one place of the tile masonry the putty is slightly wider than in others. But this is such nonsense, ladies and gentlemen. Everything was beautiful, clean, the heated towel rail works around the clock, the shower works, the hairdryer works, every day they add four pieces of shampoo and shower gel, which I sometimes used to wash clothes in the sink (there is a plug), the water is soft. The room was cleaned diligently, the garbage was thrown out every day, the linen was changed so often that the maid had to be dissuaded from her noble impulses. But she still changed her underwear. I had a twin bed and the linen was always fresh.

By the way, there are 3 (three) towels for each person, and they also change them too often, I also asked not to change them, since I had not yet had a chance to touch these towels, but the maid diligently changed everything and conscientiously fulfilled her duties.

I also want to emphasize this, since I read the opposite things in other reviews.

The room also has - an excellent TV, a refrigerator, a socket, a dressing table with a mirror, a table, two chairs, a wardrobe, two glass glasses, air conditioning with the lowest temperature of 18% C. Wi-Fi worked great, and I regretted not taking a laptop with a wide screen on which you could watch your favorite films. So I recommend everyone to take laptops or tablets with the largest screen, it’s inconvenient to watch on a phone.

The loggia is spacious, empty, I took with me a thin rope and clothespins, and built a dryer there, making loops on the rope. One end was hooked onto the brackets on the window of the room, and the other was thrown over the slightly open lower frame of the side window. Things dried instantly! No high humidity, which I had heard about for a long time, was felt. Later I learned that the maid provides a dryer upon request.

Nutrition. When I left, I was advised to eat at the Vermicelli or 50X50 canteens. These canteens are located a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and the first days I ate there, which I regret. The fact is that on the territory of the hotel there is a dining room "Pavilion", which is no worse, and even better than those canteens, and it takes 4 minutes to walk to it. I will write approximate prices: morning porridge - 40 rubles, lunch soup - 65 rubles. That is, you can eat on a budget and satisfyingly. I drank tea in the room, took a boiler and a cup with me. There are grocery and other shops on the hotel premises; I recommend buying local products there - fresh cottage cheese and milk from Kuban Buryonka for dinner. Prices are the same as in "Magnit" or a little higher. I was in stores outside the territory, you can also buy something there, but in one store the prices for one product vary. For example, juice can cost from 50 rubles to 160 rubles. So, I was looking for bread for the return trip (I planned to travel for 24 hours in the heat), but all the bread cost more than 50 rubles, and I had difficulty finding rye bread for 22 rubles. I asked the cashier for a knife, but the cashier herself kindly cut the loaf for me into even, neat slices and put it in a bag. I didn’t remember the name of the store, but I cited this incident as an example of the friendliness of the local population towards us, vacationers. By the way, the bread turned out to be High Quality and very tasty.

But most of all, I would recommend having lunch at Oriental Cookery, a photo of which I have attached specifically. There are always hot pilaf and stewed vegetables in two cauldrons. Interestingly, the vegetables were taken apart faster than the pilaf, that is, at lunchtime you could only see the bottom of the cauldron. I tried both, the food was simply amazing, the young guy who made this pilaf and these stewed vegetables was the cook, and the girl was at the cash register. A portion of pilaf or vegetables costs 150 rubles, it is placed in a container. They also sell donuts with sprinkles and samsa with different fillings - all for 50 rubles. I don’t like baked goods, as they are dry, but other customers highly praised both the donuts and samsa.

The container with lunch quickly reached the room, there I wrapped it in my pareo, which I used as a home sheet, and after the shower the meal began (I want to stipulate that you won’t be able to eat two servings of both at once, it’s better to take 1 serving for 2 people pilaf and 1 serving of vegetables), then there was an afternoon nap.

Next to the "Oriental Cookery", opposite "Vinaigrette", there is a small grocery store. There I discovered “Chernigov Light” beer produced in the city of Chernigov, in Ukraine. I haven’t tried the beer, I can’t say anything about its taste, but many people praise it.

I recommend walking along the embankment, where you can buy pine cone jam, Krasnodar tea, honey, beach dresses, tunics, funny T-shirts, swimming slippers, caps, visors and hats for swimming, beautiful headbands made of flowers, get a foot massage with fish and other useful things things. Fruits and vegetables are sold at every turn. Any drinks (mojitos, cocktails, kvass, beer) are the same. I most recommend lemonade on tap; an average glass costs 30 rubles.

Beach. The sea is clean, gentle, gentle, you don’t need to get used to the water temperature at all. The stones are quite large, like cobblestones. Perfect cleanliness, protected area. Lifeguards are constantly on duty. And there are always fools who swim behind the buoys. The lifeguards shout: “Man in red swimming trunks, return to the swimming area.” But fools keep swimming in and out. Increase the work of the rescuer. They have nothing to do, they are on vacation. I saw exactly the same picture on the Atlantic coast, in Deauville, when French rescuers, cutting through the waves on a scooter, shouted and swore obscenely at the fools climbing into the dangerous zone of the ocean. But there is a category of people for whom the law is not written.

The beach is located near the border of Abkhazia, its mountains are visible.

Along the passage to the beach there are wooden paths - decking. One day I saw that one of the boards was broken (perhaps someone jumped jokingly or threw something heavy). The next day the board was replaced with a new one!!!

This once again proves the high level of service of this resort.

Entertainment. Any, I won’t even try to list. From extreme sports to romance, from bike rentals to languid restaurants. See the offers for yourself on the website of this resort.

Directions From the checkpoint there are buses No. 57, to Adler, and 125, to the very center of Sochi, where you can take a walk and explore the shopping center. There are also taxis there. Transport runs smoothly.

Vacationers. Very nice people, polite, friendly. If someone hurts you at sea, you will definitely apologize. Yes, this is not for you southern Italy with their eternal rudeness. A lot of people from Krasnodar region, I recognize them by their dialect, from Moscow, from the North, from Siberia, Kazakhs from Kazakhstan and Russia, there are Kalmyks. All are very happy and pleasant people, smiling at each other and softly joking. The happiest people there are the children, because, in addition to the sea and all sorts of entertainment at sea, in the Catherine Quarter there is a playground for children with constant animation, turnstiles, swings, and slides.

A French family lived with me on the floor: a mother, father and their son, about 12 years old. I think the parents brought the child to show him the Olympic venues, and at the same time relax in safe place. It is clear that a flight to Adler or Sochi costs them more than a ticket to Nice, but when choosing between these two resorts, I personally would also choose the Catherine Quarter. I think they made a conscious choice - those who can read between the lines will understand.

Safety. This is what you feel with your entire skin upon arrival at this resort. A little humor. When I said about my desire to go to Adler, one lady from Rostov (we were on vacation together in Norway) said with surprise: “How can you go there, all the business there is in the hands of Armenians, and you can’t even walk down the street to see you.” they will pester you." My friend, a young boy, expressed himself even more specifically. Smacking his tongue, he said, jokingly, that when I walked along the streets of this resort, local men would chase me, calling me a peach. As a result: I didn’t see any Armenians there, except for one intelligent family, a husband and wife and two children, who swam in the sea with everyone else and were also vacationers...

By this I want to say that people say things that do not correspond to reality, they live by some outdated provincial views on our resorts. In addition to guarding our hotel and our beach, helicopters were constantly flying over the sea.

What to take: 2 pareos, 2 swimsuits, sunscreen, swimming slippers, comfortable sandals, shorts, 2 old T-shirts, beach dress, tunic, leggings, kettle or boiler, hat, sunglasses, laptop with a large screen, beach bag, a mat if you plan to sunbathe - if you don’t, you don’t need it, a pillow or mattress for swimming, a cup, a spoon, a fork, a deep plastic plate with a lid (for fruit), all the necessary medications, activated carbon, lactofiltrum.

What not to take: a towel, good new things, valuable jewelry, rubber slippers for walking (without backs), any jeans.

What to buy is a must. Slippers for swimming on a platform or other style. The price of slippers is from 300 to 400 rubles, there are any sizes and styles. I can show you a photo of my slippers; I looked for them for a long time and found them only at the end of my vacation. Before that, I swam in the slippers that I wore to all the beaches of Europe: the sock-shaped model is not very suitable for the cobblestones of Adler beach. DO NOT go into the sea without slippers, you can injure your feet.

How to get there. The ideal option is to use your own car. Parking near your building in a completely guarded area - what more do you need? Personally, I envied such families. People also got there by plane and bus.

The holiday was killer. For the first time I learned what a holiday at sea is and what its full pleasure is. Previously, I only vacationed abroad, on pretentious and simple resorts Italy, Spain and Greece.

Prices. A ticket to a standard room for 1 person without meals - 16,250 rubles for a week. Ticket for the "early booking" promotion with a 10% discount - 14625 for a week.

I will say one thing - a week is not enough, I want more.

Resort profile. If you want a quiet family beach holiday, V complete safety and comfort - I recommend the Catherine Quarter.

I will answer any questions with pleasure.
