How does utair airline treat flight attendants? Flight attendant salaries. II. Aeroflot Airlines

Flight attendants are traditionally considered the face of the airline, and the carrier’s reputation largely depends on their appearance. Therefore, while developing, the company cares not only about replenishing the fleet and expanding the staff, but also about improving the uniform of flight attendants, its uniqueness and exclusivity. AviaPort asked Russian and foreign carriers what they dress their flight attendants in.

A flight attendant's uniform should not only be beautiful and stylish, but also comfortable and practical. At the same time, the uniform should emphasize the individuality of both an individual person and the entire company as a whole! It is the employer’s task to provide the employee with such a uniform. Companies order development from a studio or from a designer, but in most companies the final version of the form is approved directly CEO.

As a rule, new uniforms are issued every two to three years. The kits depend on the season: a number of carriers are limited to winter and summer options, many also introduce a demi-season uniform for flight attendants.

Our style

Aeroflot has uniforms for women in two colors: navy - a winter version and red mandarin - a summer version. Clothing sets for men are made in dark blue for winter and summer wardrobe. The color of the uniform matches the company's corporate colors. One set of clothes includes almost 20 items. The manufacturer is the St. Petersburg company BTK Group, and the design was developed in 2009 by designers Y. Bunakova and E. Khokhlov. “Women and men are given one set, which includes a summer set for two years and a winter set for three years. The cost of a women’s set is 63,274.2 rubles, a men’s set is 50,804.5 rubles,” noted an Aeroflot representative ". But flight attendants purchase shoes, suitcases and accessories at their own expense.

Rossiya Airlines is currently finishing the introduction of new uniforms, which the BTK Group company also worked on. The uniform is close to a business suit: the combination of a strict dark blue jacket and skirt/pants with a white shirt is considered classic. The design of the uniform is a continuation of the company’s corporate style, so it reflects corporate colors and design elements. Flight attendants are issued one set of uniform. The form is updated every two years. The uniform is tailored for each employee, based on preliminary measurements, and is personal, containing a tag with the first and last name.

One of the important functions of fabric for corporate clothing is increased abrasion resistance. Therefore, for suiting products, BTK used wool-blend, bi-elastic fabric with a twill weave (gabardine). This is considered the optimal composition for corporate clothing.

Corporate accessories are also provided. It is allowed to wear a wedding ring or a thin chain. Wearing jewelry and large jewelry is not encouraged, but wearing a watch, on the contrary, is mandatory. “In case of loss of a sign or badge, the company provides the flight attendant with a replacement, but systematic loss/damage entails spending the employee’s own funds,” says Marina Peshekhonova, head of the public relations department of Rossiya Airlines.

The uniform of UTair airline employees is divided into winter, summer, and demi-season (autumn-spring). A summer uniform set for women consists of a black uniform coat, a three-piece suit, which includes a jacket, vest, skirt or trousers, as well as a short-sleeved blouse and scarf (crepe); The male uniform consists of a cap, a raincoat, a two-piece suit, a shirt with shoulder straps and a tie. Winter and demi-season uniforms also include hats and outerwear. The company also said that employees will have to refrain from large accessories.

The uniform of flight attendants of Ural Airlines is made in the corporate color scheme. The uniform is designed and sewed by the Technoavia company; it is sewn in Yekaterinburg.

“Flight attendants represent the company, so appearance plays a huge role: everything must be neat, in strict accordance with the company’s style,” the carrier’s press service said. When developing the form, the opinion of flight attendants is necessarily taken into account, but the final version is personally approved by the airline’s General Director Sergei Skuratov.

The uniform set includes: a uniform suit (jacket, vest, trousers, skirt, two blouses), a sundress-apron, a demi-season raincoat, a winter coat, a scarf, an airline sign, uniform shoes for the cabin - two pairs of shoes (for the stage of meeting and seating passengers - with a heel of at least 7 cm, at the stage of horizontal flight - with a heel of at least 3 cm). The male flight attendant uniform includes a trouser suit, shirt, tie, tie clip with corporate symbols, uniform cap, for the winter season: down jacket and molding.

Flight attendants" Ural Airlines"receive several options for uniforms, which can easily be combined based on the season. The summer version of the uniform is conventionally considered: a skirt, blouse, vest and jacket; demi-season: a trouser suit and a raincoat. Uniform sets are issued every two years, warm clothes - every three of the year.

Yakutia Airlines is currently updating its flight attendant uniforms; its design and equipment will change. The introduction of the new form will begin in the first half of July. The uniform was designed and sewn in Krasnodar. Airline employees created a special commission that controlled the process of developing the design of a new flight attendant uniform.

The new uniform design was developed separately for the winter and summer seasons. The flight attendant uniform for the spring-summer period includes: a blouse, a sundress, a jacket, a raincoat and a neckerchief. All elements of the uniform are made in white and purple colors; on the neckerchief there is a pattern with a national Yakut pattern. The uniform for the autumn-winter period will include: blouse, skirt, jacket, scarf, coat. The airline's corporate colors were chosen for this kit - blue and white. In addition, the uniform comes with an apron for serving passengers during delivery. on-board catering. The suit for male flight attendants includes: trousers, jacket, shirt with short and long sleeves.

Female flight attendants are issued one set of uniforms for the spring-summer and autumn-winter periods. Each set includes 2 replacement shirts. For male flight attendants, one set of uniform and outerwear is provided for each period.

The uniform includes accessories such as a neckerchief for female flight attendants, a tie for male flight attendants and a name badge. The inscription on the badge is made in the airline's signature font, and the Yakut ornament is applied to the scarf. The use of personal accessories by flight attendants is not permitted. It is possible to wear watches, jewelry: earrings and rings in a discreet official style.

Neighborhood style

The uniform of Armavia flight attendants is in heavenly shades - gray-blue. According to the carrier's press service, a new form is issued every two years. Thus, last summer season, Armavia introduced a new uniform for flight attendants - the design has undergone significant changes and has become more stylish and modern.

"The designers have created an expanded model range - summer, demi-season and winter uniforms of various configurations. This takes a lot of time, and what is important is finance. Before starting to develop models, the technical requirements for fabrics, the specific working conditions of flight attendants, as well as ideas are selected, comfortable and practical models are thought out that distinguish the Armavia uniform and create a current and stylish image for flight attendants,” the company reported. The company also noted that the company’s management also takes an active part in the discussion of models. “And therefore, as they say, truth is born in a dispute,” noted the Armavia press service.

The following corporate accessories are issued: ties, hats, scarves, tie pins, badges with the Armavia logo, aprons, pilot cases.

Georgian Airways flight attendant uniforms are updated every three years. The men's uniform includes: jacket, trousers, two shirts, badge (emblem). The women's uniform includes a jacket, vest, trousers, skirt, shirt, and headscarf. Georgian Airways corporate accessories are not provided. The use of personal accessories is permitted, with some restrictions.

According to the deputy head of the flight attendant service at Belavia Airlines, Ruslan Prilepsky, the appearance of flight attendants pleases the eye, inspires confidence in safety, and shapes the image of the airline. The flight attendant uniform is updated every 3 years. Consists of almost 30 elements. Now it is planned to introduce a new form developed by the Belarusian designer Elvira Zhvikova. The competition to sew a new uniform was won by the Moscow company "Galaktika".

This time it was decided to develop and produce two completely different versions of uniforms for winter and summer. The winter uniform maintains the corporate style and colors of navy blue, red and white. Summer uniform is a figment of the designer's imagination. Both winter and summer uniforms are complemented by corporate symbols in the form of badges, pass holders and name badges. The suit buttons and belt buckle also bear the airline logo. Each employee receives one set of uniforms for winter and summer. Flight attendants wear basic elements such as outerwear and the suits themselves for three years; accessories such as ties, scarves, mufflers, shirts and blouses are changed once a year. In this case, part of the cost of the uniform is paid by the flight attendants themselves.

Foreign things

The current Emirates cabin crew uniform was introduced in 2008 and the airline works closely with the manufacturer to improve small elements where the need arises.

The women's uniform features an elegant beige jacket with pinstripes in chocolate and red, a cream blouse with red trim, and a pleated skirt with red accents or trousers. The signature element of the Emirates flight attendant uniform is a red headdress with an elegant white scarf. An invariable attribute of a woman’s image is also bright red lipstick in strictly defined shades. The airline's senior flight attendants wear brown hats, which make them easily recognizable.

The men's uniform includes a rich chocolate suit with beige and red pinstripes, a cream shirt, and a brown tie with diagonal stripes (red, brown, gold and white). Senior flight attendants wear ties in a cream and brown color scheme.

The Emirates uniform is designed by Simon Jersey, a British manufacturer specializing in uniform and workwear design. "The form is designed taking into account various types climate: the airline operates flights to 123 destinations in 63 countries and the weather on the ground in which flight attendants work can vary from sunny Rio to snowy St. Petersburg,” the company specified. For cold weather, the uniform includes cardigans, jumpers, coats, gloves, winter scarves (for men), as well as boots or shoes.

Flight attendants are also provided with branded wheeled bags that they can take into the cabin, suitcases and handbags for girls.

The company provides all flight attendants with branded accessories, including belts, gloves, hats, scarves, ties and more. Employees may also wear their own accessories such as glasses and Jewelry, if they meet the airline's standards in size and color.

A distinctive feature of the flight attendant uniform Singapore Airlines Airlines is a national character. Thus, the uniform consists of an elegant sarong-kebaya suit, made in the traditional style of women's festive clothing South-East Asia. Each uniform set includes a kebaya suit - a light colored blouse and a long tapered skirt with national patterns and sandals. The winter set also includes a coat, scarf and gloves. The form was created in 1968 and has not changed since then. The uniform was designed by French couturier Pierre Balmain.

Moreover, there are four colors of the “Singapore girls” uniform, depending on the rank of the flight attendant; the most recognizable shape blue for flight stewardesses, green for leading stewardesses, red for chief stewardesses and purple for in-flight supervisors.

"Our flight attendant's unique uniform reflects warm, Asian hospitality," says a Singapore Airlines spokesperson.

Rossiya Airlines will change its employees into a new uniform within the next two weeks. It is not very different in concept from the uniform, but then it was only part of the “collection” in the form of a summer stewardess uniform, so it was decided not to introduce it until now. Now, flight attendants, pilots, and ground services will have their own uniform ; at the same time, it is divided into male and female, as well as summer and winter. Employees are given the uniform free of charge (in some airlines you need to purchase it at your own expense).

The presentation of uniforms for flight and ground personnel of Rossiya Airlines took place on November 23 at the base and main passenger airport Pulkovo.

The ceremony participants witnessed a real fashion show, which took place against the backdrop of the Rossiya A319 aircraft, which, by the way, received a new interior (about which we have a separate article). Ground service workers, flight attendants and flight attendants of the airline took to the podium, demonstrating to the guests the high style and beauty of the new uniform.

The key components of the new image of the flight and ground staff of Rossiya Airlines are modernity, practicality and elegance. New form sewn from fabric selected taking into account the specifics and working conditions of aviation personnel. The fabric holds its shape well without restricting movement and creates a feeling of comfort.

The main color of the new uniform is blue, which symbolizes stability, reliability and calm. The accessories are dominated by the leading color of the brand – red. Additionally, metallic color is used. The flight attendant uniform includes 18 items and accessories, the flight attendant uniform consists of 21 items.

A distinctive feature of the ground services uniform is an elegant, but at the same time strict gray color, complementing the basic blue - common with the main color of the flight personnel uniform. The ground service uniform consists of 10 pieces of clothing and accessories; the women's set includes 12 pieces.

The uniform was produced by Technoavia, which attracted leading domestic and foreign contractors to implement this large-scale project. Outerwear and summer shoes are made in Russia. Factories in Italy and Poland were used to produce accessories. Winter shoes made of leather and fur were created in Portugal at the factory of a leading European manufacturer specializing in the production of footwear for aviation.

General Director of Rossiya Airlines JSC Dmitry Saprykin: “By constantly developing for passengers, we are simultaneously changing ourselves. The new uniform of our employees is a reflection of the modern, but also already known and loved by millions of our passengers airline.”

The new flight and ground personnel uniforms are an integral part of the company's rebranding, which began in April 2016. The design of the new livery of the Rossiya airliners was based on an element that looks like an engine blade. It is used to create modules that graphically replicate the image of the turbine. This ornamental image in the form of a unique Rossiya corporate pattern was continued in the women's scarves and men's ties of the new airline employee uniform.

Rossiya Airlines is part of the Aeroflot Group. Rossiya is the second largest airline in the Russian Federation, one of the most beloved and popular brands of St. Petersburg residents, the official carrier of FC Zenit. Route network airlines in the winter season 2017/2018 consists of almost 100 domestic and international destinations. Air fleet"Russia" includes 15 Boeing 737-800, 31 Airbus A320 family aircraft, 6 Boeing 777 family aircraft and 9 Boeing 747.

When boarding a plane, do you pay attention to what the flight attendants are wearing? Each airline presents its own signature colors and cut; designs are ordered from special agencies or fashion houses. We will discuss in this article what our flight attendants wear when greeting passengers.

Aeroflot

Aeroflot is the oldest Russian airline, founded in 1922. In the Soviet years, the uniform of flight attendants was distinguished by rigor, minimalism and functional details; the main colors of clothing were blue, red-brown and gray.

Soviet uniform for Aeroflot flight attendants

Today, the form has changed significantly; it is being developed by leading designers, taking into account fashion trends. Last year, the branded clothing of Aeroflot flight attendants was recognized as the best according to the participants of Aurora Fashion Week and the travel search engine Aviasales.ru. 7,500 experts took part in the survey; more than 30% of respondents voted for Aeroflot clothing, which was ahead of Emirates by a significant margin. Previously, Aeroflot's uniform design was noted as the most stylish in Europe according to a SkyScanner survey.

The wardrobe of Aeroflot flight attendants includes a two-piece suit, a dress, a warm coat, a raincoat, a stylish down jacket and leather shoes. In winter the color of the uniform is blue, in summer it is a seductive tangerine red, with gold trim.

The airline updates its uniform almost annually, choosing on a competitive basis manufacturer, at one time airline flight attendants wore suits from Russian designer Victoria Andreyanova, since 2010 the uniform has been designed by the duo “Bunnakova and Khokhlov” (Yulia Bunnakova and Evgeniy Khokhlov).

"S7 Airlines"

The flight attendants of S7 Airlines are dressed by the Rusmoda design team. Here, too, there is a seasonal change of shape: crimson in winter and turquoise in summer. In total, the arsenal of flight attendants includes 12 items in basic colors (gray, white and the main seasonal ones) - these are blouses, dresses, aprons, scarves, suits with skirts and trousers. Rich colors were introduced as signature colors in 2012, replacing the dull dark gray uniform. S7 flight attendants can easily be called the brightest and most positive!

"Transaero"

Transaero has been carrying passengers since 1992; over the years, the uniform of flight attendants has changed several times, at first there were crimson suits, then soft turquoise, blue and pink, the last update took place in 2012 on the 20th anniversary of the company. The basic uniform includes a gray and white blouse, dark blue dress, trousers and pencil skirt with red trim, a red and crimson cape, a polka dot neckerchief, a blue cap and retro leather shoes. Clothing is made in Europe.

Representatives of one of the most romantic professions in the world - flight attendants - celebrate their professional holiday on July 12. To coincide with this day, the editors of “KS” decided to publish an article about one of the components of the image of any flight attendant - the uniform. As is known, the form is business card any airline and an important part of successful promotion in the air market. About how it currently looks for the four largest Russian airlines - Transaero, Aeroflot, S7 Airlines and UTair, the KS correspondent asked directly from the carriers, and also found out opinions on this matter from stylists and often flying businessmen of Novosibirsk.

I. Transaero Airlines

The uniform of Transaero airline flight attendants was last changed in 2011, the year of the company’s 20th anniversary. Blue, green and pink were replaced by dark blue, white and red colors, pleating, and a polka dot pattern.

The new shape reflects the Art Deco era. It is made in corporate colors and looks different depending on the class of service. Thus, in Economy and Business class you can find flight attendants in dark blue skirts and dresses with red pleating, white blouses and polka dot scarves. However, in Imperial and First class, the uniform is completely different: here passengers are greeted by flight attendants in dark blue elegant dresses with short sleeves and gold accessories.

According to the airline's press service, the Imperial class flight attendant uniform was introduced in 2008 simultaneously with the advent of this service class. It is based on the traditions of the “Golden Age” of the Russian Imperial Court and includes elements of cut and embroidery from court dresses and uniforms of 1913. Unlike the Economy and Business class uniforms, they are sewn in Russia (Economy and Business are sewn in Europe - “KS”), individually for each flight attendant.

By tradition, the 2011 uniform was developed by the Transaero team together with consultants from Europe and received the full approval of its staff: it is not only beautiful, but also comfortable.

The women's set includes a jacket, trousers, skirt, sundress, dress, three types of blouses, two types of belts, cardigan, gloves, scarf, shawl. For the first time, Transaero's women's uniform included a headdress and shoes. Fabric composition: cotton and polyester. In addition, all flight attendants wear a name badge and a logo with small wings called a “bird.” Interesting feature uniforms: by the number of red wedges on the skirt, you can determine where the flight attendant works: one in economy class and two in business class.

The men's signature set consists of a jacket, trousers, long and short sleeve shirts, cardigan, belt, tie, and cap. It is worth noting that the uniform at Transaero is not divided into summer and winter; this is done so that the employee does not depend on internal orders to switch to summer or winter uniform and can choose a comfortable option for himself in any season.

Each flight attendant is issued one set of uniform for two years. The set is designed taking into account the fact that trousers, skirts, sundresses can replace each other.

Stylists' opinion

The form of "Transaero", according to founder and chief specialist of the image agency “TNN Image Group” Natalia Troyan, stylish and creative, divided by class and status. “As for the Economy and Business levels, I really like the approach, namely, maintaining the corporate style in different versions of wardrobe elements. This is very convenient when for a certain person, his body type, you can choose a certain style of dress, skirt, or replace it with trousers. I believe that this is a more progressive and civilized approach than simply putting a uniform on everyone. In Imperial, “gold” on dark blue looks expensive and classy,” notes Ms. Troyan.

A completely different form of the Imperial class appeared personal stylist-shopper Mikhail Gushints: “The shape of the Economy and Business classes really appeals to me - it is modest, discreet, with original solutions in the form of pleated inserts and very the right choice color range. Now let's move on to Imperial. I take it these are award flights? Why did designers have the task of scaring away clients? The darkest color scheme. The photo clearly shows how unhealthy the girl’s face is. It is this reflex that gives dark color to light skin.”

II. Aeroflot Airlines

This year, Aeroflot flight attendant uniforms were recognized as the most stylish among staff uniforms European airlines. These are the results of a study conducted by the global flight search engine Skyscanner. The study was based on materials from a survey of more than 1,200 travelers, who were asked to rate the appearance of the flight attendant uniforms of all leading European airlines using a five-point system. Company employees have been wearing it since 2010.

What is so special about Aeroflot uniforms? According to the airline's press service, it was designed by designers from St. Petersburg - Yulia Bunakova and Evgeny Khokhlov, and the St. Petersburg company BTK Group was engaged in tailoring.

The wardrobe of male employees consists of 23 items, women - of 29. The uniform is divided into summer and winter options: the fair half is dressed in dark blue in winter, in orange-red in summer, or, as it is also called, in the color “red” mandarin". The men's wardrobe - both summer and winter - is made in navy color (dark blue, almost black - “KS”). All accessories on the clothes are gold in color, and the sleeves are decorated with stripes in the shape of the famous “bird”.

The uniform includes suits, raincoats, shirts, white blouses, dresses with three-quarter sleeves and wing collars, jackets, skirts, warm down coats, stoles and men's Alaskan jackets, as well as caps, caps, neckerchiefs, ties with gold embossing , leather shoes and boots. The cost of each set is estimated at approximately 1.5 thousand dollars.

The entire uniform is made in full compliance with labor protection requirements. For example, in women's shoes the heel is no higher than 4.5 centimeters. Uniform dresses are made of antistatic fabric with water- and dirt-repellent properties. The main assortment is jackets, skirts, trousers, men's jackets, coats made of cotton, polyester, wool and elastane.

General Director of Aeroflot Vitaly Savelyev, commenting on the cabin crew uniform concept, said: “It was important to us to make the cabin crew uniform stylish, fashionable and modern. The form should please our passengers and be memorable. In 2010, we took 8th place in the world airline ranking according to Skyscanner, and today we are first in Europe. This shows that we have our priorities right and our form is truly the best.”

Stylists' opinion

“I don’t like the chosen orange color scheme at all,” says Mikhail Gushinets. — Such a bright and aggressive color cannot be taken so seriously large area coverings. However, in my opinion, there are also advantages. It’s good that the neck remained open, without a pile of scarves in the corporate color scheme. In addition, the white color concentrated around the face refreshes it well and draws attention to it. It’s a pity that this effect is completely destroyed by a huge bright splash of orange color.”

Natalya Troyan has the opposite opinion: “Aeroflot’s orange uniform repeats one of the colors of the company’s logo. The color is warm, soft and comfortable, very positive, optimistic and cheerful, at the same time white gloves, white collar, headdress and gold trim show composure, neatness, quality and high level services. Expensive, high quality, European format,” states Ms. Troyan.

III. S7 Airlines

The bright crimson uniform of the S7 Airlines flight attendants, which the “on-board” employees changed into in December 2012, was not noticed, perhaps, only by those who have not used the services of S7 since that time.

“We aimed to create an image of an attentive, friendly and professional flight attendant. After all, the first impression of a flight is created by the flight attendants who meet passengers in the cabin,” says Marketing Director of S7 Group Tatyana Fileva. “When developing the models, we took into account the wishes of the employees themselves - maximum comfort, more brightness and elegance.”

The women's uniform set consists of 12 items - a crimson dress and jacket, decorated with branded buttons, gray trousers and a skirt, a white and gray blouse, as well as a removable collar and cuffs, a leather belt and a headdress with the S7 Airlines logo. The men's set includes a three-piece suit and a shirt. It also includes an apron. The look is completed by a bright detail - a green neck bow for women and a tie for men.

The concept of the form was developed by designers Russian company"Rusmoda". “We managed to create a classic feminine look. The main accent is a bright and unexpected crimson color. At the same time, it matches perfectly with any skin and hair tone. The polka dot print, accentuated waist, and rounded collars and cuffs add softness to the strict silhouette,” noted designer Alexander Terekhov.

Please note that we discussed the winter version of the uniform, but the summer version is slightly different and will be introduced on all S7 Airlines flights from July 15, 2013. Exclusively for KS readers, the airline spoke about it and provided photographs. The most noticeable detail is that the crimson color will be replaced by bright turquoise. The concept of the form was developed by the same team of designers from the Rusmoda company. The designers retained the classic feminine style in which the winter uniform was made when developing the summer version, but the composition of the fabrics became more “lightweight.”

The main green color of the S7 Airlines brand was preserved in men's ties, and in girls' neck bows, which best suited the summer mood. The female uniform set consists of 14 items. The hats in which flight attendants greet passengers on board remain an integral part of it. They are also made of lightweight material in turquoise color.

Stylists' opinion

As Natalya Troyan noted, the color palette perfectly reflects the company’s corporate style - very recognizable bright green (light green) aircraft with a bright red-crimson logo. “In my opinion, rounded collars, polka dots, a bow tied at the neck, and short sleeves in flight attendant costumes are reminiscent of retro images of the 40s. In general, the soft lines of the suit, headdress, lack of formality (in the form of a formal suit), rounded collars, polka dots, and bright color palette create a more relaxed, informal, homely, light, cheerful and even playful atmosphere,” says the stylist.

Mikhail Gushinets adds that the rich crimson color again occupies too much area, as in Aeroflot: “However, here this effect is compensated by the light green color, which is complementary to the crimson and balances it, and the rounded white collar gives the image femininity.”

IV. UTair Airlines

The current uniform for UTair flight attendants has been in place since 2008. Before that, it was black and consisted of a vest, skirt and jacket. When did the airline begin to actively develop? Passenger Transportation, the question arose about branding and a clearly defined corporate style. Since UTair's logo is blue, it was proposed that the new uniform be of a similar color. No designers were involved. Several sewing enterprises, companies that make workwear and suits, presented their developments.

The company's general director, Andrei Martirosov, looked at about 10 options, and in the end, the one that can be seen on airline flight attendants today was chosen.

Global criteria were applied to the form. Firstly, business style - from the point of view of psychological perception, it inspires confidence, security, and a sense of stability. Like the blue color, which evokes a feeling of moderation and reliability. Secondly, since the flight attendant often raises his hands, closes luggage racks, bends down, distributes food, etc.: the design of the uniform must be functional, meet ergonomic requirements and not interfere with the movements of personnel.

From a safety point of view, the uniform cannot contain any wide skirts, shoulder straps or other redundant elements and details. In case of evacuation from an aircraft, clothing should not cling or interfere.

The uniform for personnel serving VIP passengers has a completely different story. It was developed by Elena Skakun - famous in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug fashion designer The color scheme of clothing for the VIP squadron is consistent with the interiors of specialized aircraft and is made in beige and brown tones.

There is no seasonal division into summer and winter uniforms at UTair; there is only one set: blouses, skirt, jacket, vest. “Probably only trousers can be classified as winter version. When it’s warm, they’re almost not worn,” noted Head of Public Relations Department of UTair Airlines Elena Galanova. — One of the features that distinguishes UTair flight attendants and pilots is leather raincoats and fur hats. This is winter outerwear."

This style became a continuation of the Soviet flight uniform and leather jackets of USSR pilots. This is a certain airline brand, which, today, has no analogues. As they say in the company itself, “thorough, expensive and distinctive.”

“Many people note that “yours” are immediately visible,” Mrs. Galanova laughs. — I really liked the opinion of one person who said: “We were in Germany and UTair pilots walked through the airport in their black leather raincoats and fur hats - it looked very impressive. It immediately attracts attention."
.
In terms of fiber composition, according to Elena Galanova, UTair today is at the level of such airlines as Air France, British Airways, Lufthansa. Like these airlines, UTair uses wool blends in the manufacture of clothing: natural threads provide warmth, and synthetics provide increased wear resistance of the fabric.

Conceptually, the airline is not going to change anything in its uniform in the near future. Currently, UTair employs 2,000 flight attendants. There are standards - a suit and vest are worn for 2 years, raincoats - 3 years, leather items and fur hats - 4 years. And regardless of the state of things, new ones are issued in due course. Therefore, UTair annually orders about a thousand sets of clothing for flight attendants. This change of clothes costs the company 37 million rubles every year.

Stylists' opinion

“UTair flight attendants, in my opinion, are dressed rather gloomily. You can feel the era of the USSR, the shape is very minimalistic and laconic. It seems to reflect the harsh, cold Russian reality. The girls' suits have straight charcoal cut lines, elongated jackets, which are unlikely to decorate the figure or emphasize the femininity of any girl, but will rather help create some image of a teacher - a straight skirt, a straight suit, a sharp charcoal collar of a white shirt. Or, perhaps, such images will appeal to people of the adult generation, reminding them of the past,” says Natalya Troyan.

Mikhail Gushinets agreed with Natalya’s opinion: “A woman’s suit is dominated by straight, angular lines, starting from the collar, ending with the hem of the jacket and the shape of the skirts. That is, femininity, unfortunately, has been completely killed. The waist is practically absent. As a result, we get a sort of rectangle as a flight attendant.”

DIRECT SPEECH

Director of the company "BC Real Estate" Olesya Bugrova:

— As a passenger, I am most impressed by the uniform of the flight attendants of Aeroflot Airlines - very beautiful clothes, pleasant colors. I would put Transaero in second place; flight attendants and stewards in Economy and Business are dressed in discreet, stylish clothes that give a positive vibe, but Imperial, in my opinion, is somewhat tasteless. Next - S7 Airlines: what can I say? Boldly. Last place I give it to UTair airlines - it feels like together with the flight attendants we are returning to the 70s.

Director of the 2BGroup group of companies Andrey Popkov:

— In my opinion, scarlet and gold on Aeroflot flight attendants looks advantageous. Bright, visible from afar, the shade of red, at least in the photo, is very successful.
The S7’s “polka dots” for a formal outfit, in my opinion, are not entirely appropriate; previous suits using light green shades and multi-colored stripes were much more interesting and more memorable. “Transaero”: good, strict, elegant, official, by the way, in fact, a very pleasant shade of blue. But Imperial - what kind of cord for curtains instead of a belt? “UTair” is exactly how the harsh Soviet KGB workers were imagined in American films during the Cold War.

Managing partner of the PR agency InMar Relations Inna Lysenko:

— In my preference rating, S7 Airlines will be in first place. I really like this new uniform, created in partnership with designer Alexander Terekhov. It is bright and, in a sense, even unexpected, reflects fashion trends, but works in harmony with the airline’s corporate style. At the same time, this image conveys
softness, coziness and comfort for passengers, leaving the right first impression, which is so important in the aviation business.

At Transaero, oddly enough, I like the Economy Class uniform more than the image of the Premium Class stewards. The image of Economy's stewards successfully combines classics and modern nuances; this image also conveys femininity and friendliness.

UTair has the most traditional, predictable, strict uniform. You don’t expect a particularly courteous attitude from the stewards in this form.

Aeroflot added color, but a touch of the Soviet past still remained, which can be interpreted in different ways. Some will see this as thoroughness and seriousness, while others will see it as slowness and unwillingness to follow the trends of the time.

But whatever the image, absolutely everyone Russian airlines there is still a lack of truly attentive, courteous service, and the stewards lack basic smiles, which should be a priori. You feel this especially acutely when connecting flights with Western companies.

Perfectly ironed uniforms, girls and young men always collected and polite. Even if you are afraid of flying, they help you remain calm and confident. The romance of flights and the profession of a flight attendant in today's everyday life of flights is still popular among school and university graduates. But what about the financial prospects and what is the salary of a flight attendant?

Criteria that determine a flight attendant's earnings

Before determining what the salary is for each employee, it is worth listing several factors that directly affect its level. Namely:

  • the country in which the person works, in particular its industrial level;
  • the degree of development of this industry;
  • the size and authority of the airline and the course it is pursuing to improve operating conditions;
  • route and type of flights;
  • level of education, and specifically knowledge of foreign languages;
  • experience.

Real salary of a flight attendant in Russia

As a flight attendant, you will undoubtedly climb the career ladder. A newcomer and anyone transferring from another airline have the same level of income.

Newly hired employees after specialized training have an initial level of earnings of 15-20 thousand rubles. per month. Gradually, as you master the profession, your experience and the number of hours in flight increase, therefore, your salary increases to an average of 50-60 thousand per month. Employees with the highest qualifications, over time, reach an earnings level of 80 to 100 thousand rubles. Payment for an hour in flight is about 4,000. In addition, some airlines create a system of bonuses for the quality of work performed.

Steps when assigning a level wages are defined as follows:

  • Level 1 – third class flight attendant (30 hours of flight time as a trainee);
  • Level 2 – second class flight attendant (2000 hours of flight time and passing the exam);
  • Level 3 – first class flight attendant (3000 hours in flight and absolute mastery of passenger service technology);
  • Level 4 – senior flight attendant;
  • Level 5 – head of service.

If you believe the statistics, approximately 60 thousand rubles per month are paid for the services of a guide in Russia. There is also an upward trend. It is not surprising that the city of Moscow has the highest average salary for a flight attendant – 64 thousand. However, there is a dependence of salaries on a specific airline.

Three companies have gained great popularity: Aeroflot, Transaero and UTair. Aeroflot, the largest in the airline industry, pays its employees more than Transaero and UTair.

As already mentioned, many airlines give great opportunities for its employees and their families. This list first of all includes a colossal discount when purchasing tickets, up to a 5-fold reduction. Without a doubt, travel enthusiasts can consider these discounts as an addition to their salary. It can’t be done without a part-time job. Charter commercial flights ordered by large companies with higher prices. However, if the charter is booked for summer holiday, then this is also an opportunity for a free holiday in relation to the payment of the flight.

But in some airlines, even if they have the required number of flight hours, a flight attendant is not able to earn even the monthly minimum that is usually paid in the giants of the airline industry. Very often this can be seen in non-metropolitan companies that organize transportation between regional centers.

To fly or not to fly

The main disadvantage is the heavy load on the body when at altitude. This includes being on your feet for a long time and a feeling of freedom, which makes it very difficult in the future to psychologically and physically adapt to the normal course of life. But all these and other provoking factors do not prevent the desire to occupy such a position.

The job of a flight attendant remains one of the most in demand and competitive, even despite all its complexity. What attracts potential employees to this position? First of all, a flexible schedule, fairly long-term vacations, and the opportunity to travel for free around the world. Therefore, if routine office work is not to your taste, you should think about devoting yourself to the romance of flying.
