The next fishing trick is the so-called “helicopter”, used mainly for catching pike perch. In appearance, it is a fairly large drop-shaped lead jig, to which you need to attach a brush made of goat hair or New Year's rain. The size and weight of the product will vary depending on fishing conditions with or without current. Naturally, for fishing on great depths in the presence of a current, you need to use heavier “helicopters”, and when fishing at medium depths with moderate or no current, lighter ones. On a fishing rod with a good supply of fishing line 0.30-0.35 mm thick, attach a nod with a fairly wide hole at the end. It is best if it is a nod made from a 2-3mm watch spring, soldering a winding ring to the end. The normal length of the finished nod should be approximately 4-5cm. When fishing with a “helicopter” you can use various fishing techniques. You can rhythmically twitch the bait, then suddenly change this tactic with jig play, etc.

A fishing trick that helps many inexperienced fishermen when casting a donkey. Often, if the donkey is not thrown correctly or carefully, the leashes get tangled, so in order to prevent this from happening, you need to make a reliable, simple device. It is necessary to bend a bracket from a wire with a diameter of 0.6-1 mm, copper or steel, and secure it to the main line using two parts of the cambric. To change the sinker, you just need to take the tackle out of the water, remove the weight from the fishing line using pliers, select the appropriate weight and clamp it.

Since the sinkers are made of lead, there will be no problems with changing them. It is better to store sinkers of different weights in a special fishing box. Also, this is where the platform comes to the rescue.

Extractor

In addition, when catching a predator, a device such as an extractor will not be superfluous. It will help you remove a deeply swallowed hook from the predator’s mouth easily and safely. An extractor can be purchased at a specialized store, but you can also make it yourself.

To make it homemade, you will need the body of a regular ballpoint pen, on the edge of which a slot is made for fishing line. When the fish has swallowed the hook deeply, you need to take the extractor and pass the fishing line into the slot. Slide along it to the shank of the hook and hook it. All.

An extractor is a much more humane hook removal device than your fingers. Basically, metal products of this kind go on sale. But, for example, in the cold it will not be very convenient to use them. In addition, a metal extractor may become rusty from water over time.

Also, this device will come to the rescue when a large number of hooks surround the feeder. The extractor is needed not only by spinners. If you catch gobies, then you know that even fry swallow a baited hook almost to the tail.

Landing net

Of course, you will need a landing net. It is required for withdrawal large fish, and also if you are going to fish from a steep bank or bridge. You can make the landing net yourself.

Rubber

Plasticine

Rocker

The chair, as such, is not classified as gear, but it is very useful. It’s worth taking a chair with you, because if you stand fishing all the time, it will soon cease to be fun. Therefore, a chair is necessary. In extreme cases, a folding chair or simply a closed 5L bottle can perform its function.

The fishing platform is the same chair, only it has a built-in tackle box and there are devices for comfortable placement of fishing rods. The platform, as a rule, is manufactured independently. Auxiliary equipment is fishing crafts, helping the amateur, for example, in the case of landing a large specimen, these include landing nets and hooks, and for storing the catch - cages or kukans. When swallowing the hook deeply, use an extractor. All these elements can be made independently.

And, finally, bait - here every self-respecting fisherman has his own secret component, which he keeps and will not give out to anyone. Very often, instead of ready-made bait, when preparing for fishing, they prefer to assemble individual ingredients in order to prepare the most suitable mixture for the conditions in the area chosen for fishing.

Often, fishing crafts bring good luck when fishing. But a more significant result is moral satisfaction from the creative process itself, from doing what you love.

You should start with a hook - of course, no one is going to do it on their own, but even a novice amateur knows that it tends to become dull over time. And sharpening sometimes has to be done in the field: some people just sharpen it on a stone, but experienced fishermen always have a homemade sharpener with them.

The reason the fish disappears after biting is often a dull sting. To prevent such cases, you need to periodically check the hook: a sharp one is easily stuck into the nail and fixed.

The top is cut off at the thinnest point, and a ring is attached to the bottom. An elastic band along the diameter of the tube is placed in the center of the rod for attachment to the fishing line. Now you can paint or varnish your homemade products.

Melt from a plastic tube is made by analogy with a goose feather. First, by soldering its ends, a resemblance to the pen shaft is achieved, and then all operations are performed in the same order.

Homemade fishing floats painted in bright colors are clearly visible on the water and are sensitive to bites from even small roach.

One of the necessary additional devices when catching large fish is a hook. To make it, you can use old abandoned fishing rods or handles from household household tools like a mop. The hook can be made from suitable elastic wire or a knitting needle.

The sequence of actions when making a homemade product at home:

The handle of the hook is made of wood; a hole is drilled into it on one side for the tube, and on the other for fastening the cord. The latter is secured in the hole using a threaded plug.
The tube is then inserted into the prepared groove in the handle with epoxy resin fastening. A retractable insert of a smaller diameter is selected into the tube to create the length of the hook - in the folded state it is 50 cm, and in the working state it is 90. Movement inside the tube must be free.
The hook is bent according to the size of the fish and is fixed on the retractable part with a bolted connection. As a rule, the bending value is within 3–6 cm. A rubber tube is pulled over the tip of the hook itself for safety.

Having tested the ease of assembly and disassembly of the device, you can take your homemade product fishing and at the same time be sure that the tool will not let you down. After all, the hook is made with your own hands and you can vouch for every detail.

To prepare a mixture for fishing with your own hands, you don’t have to buy the ingredients in the store - you can use the products that are available in your apartment kitchen. It is enough to verify this using the example of selecting bait components for bream. In order for food to be desirable for the fish, you need to know the preferences of the future trophy.

And they depend on several factors:

quantity and quality of the natural nutrient medium of the reservoir;
seasonality in terms of the predominant diet;
weather.

There are some fishing tricks for creating a composition for bait: when the constituent products are sifted through a sieve, the mixture becomes aerated and free of lumps. Due to this, the food is more quickly dispersed throughout the casting zone. Aroma is an important component in the attractiveness of a bait, but moderation is needed here: a strong odor can create a negative effect.

Homemade bait for bream is usually made with cake, although you can use rapeseed, pumpkin, hemp and flax seeds, as well as ground or crushed crackers for this purpose. It also includes bran as a leavening agent when rolling feed balls.

Clay, cereal or pea flour and oatmeal are added as a binder. Flavorings can be fragrant seeds of some plants, oils and essences.

As mentioned above, the feed mixture must correspond to the specific fishing conditions.

You can make homemade baits with your own hands using the following recipes:

Summer mix for the lake - 300 grams of crushed crackers, bran and boiled millet. Roasted and ground sunflower seeds - 200 g and a teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Use clay as a binder, adding it to the required thickness.
The same summer mixture, but for the river - 200 g of sunflower cake, sprouted peas and boiled oatmeal, as well as 100 g of breadcrumbs. As a flavoring – 3 teaspoons of coriander powder.
Autumn bait - sunflower cake, crushed crackers, boiled rice and rye bran, 100 g each. 50 g each - bloodworm, maggot and finely chopped lard, add a teaspoon of coriander for flavor.
A homemade spring mixture for fishing is also made on the basis of sunflower cake (100 g) and 0.1 kg of boiled rye bran and boiled millet are added. Add 80 g of feed bloodworm and 2 teaspoons of ground coriander. To bind and dilute the mixture, clay and sand are mixed.

Thus, making any kind of homemade product is not a burden for the fisherman, but a pleasure. And in terms of educational knowledge regarding fishing, this brings a lot of new things, and the hunting process becomes more successful.

Many novice fishermen prefer to purchase fishing gear in specialized stores, however, it should be remembered that the employees of these stores are not always experienced fishermen themselves.

At the same time, making a fishing rod yourself is not difficult. In this case, the fisherman knows all the properties of the fishing rod he has made, adjusts the operation of the reel to suit himself, and has no doubt about the successful landing of the trophy.

Types of fishing gear and their photos

There is a fairly large number of different fishing devices, however, they can be divided into two broad varieties:

summer fishing gear;
winter fishing gear (for ice fishing).

Beginners, as a rule, are usually introduced to fishing in summer time year, and the float fishing rod is a classic for them. Making it yourself is not at all difficult.

Making a float rod with your own hands

A float rod belongs to the so-called fly fishing gear. It is ideal for fishing at short distances from the fisherman.

In order to make it yourself, you will need: a fishing rod from four to six meters long, two fishing lines (one thinner, the other slightly thicker), a sinker, a float and a hook.

Start working on your fishing rod with the rig. Attach a sinker to the main line (its diameter should be 0.16-0.22 mm), then a float.

The load must be checked; to do this, the equipment is lowered into the reservoir. The float should be completely under water, except for the antenna, which protrudes on its surface. If the balance is correct, a loop is made from a double knot at the very end of the fishing line.

The next stage is collecting the leash. First, a hook is attached to the fishing line (it is 0.05-0.1 mm thinner than the main one in diameter). On the other side of the leash (about thirty, maximum fifty centimeters) make a small loop.

Now you need to connect it together with the main fishing line. The total length of the equipment usually does not exceed the size of the fishing rod, or is slightly longer than it, but not more than 50 cm.

Making a feeder fishing rod

The feeder fishing rod is very popular these days, because thanks to it you can catch fish in various types of reservoirs.

It is somewhat more difficult to make than a float, but with a little effort, almost anyone can do it.

To make a feeder you need: a special rod for the feeder, a reel with a spool, a fishing line with a total length of one hundred to one hundred and fifty meters, a feeder, an anti-twist tube, another fishing line for the leash, a hook.

First you need to carefully connect all the elements of the rod together, paying special attention to the guide rings - they should line up along the same axis.

Then the reel seat is completed; for this, the main line is passed through all the rings of the rod. A loop is made at the very end of the main line, after which it is connected to the reel.

By carefully turning and rotating the handle, the line is rewound onto the spool. A loop is also made at the other end of the fishing line, and the equipment is attached to it. The most common method is fastening with an anti-twist tube.

After this, the fishing line must be passed through the resulting structure, immediately placing stopper beads and making loops. At the bend point of the tube it is necessary to attach the feeder, after which the main line is connected to the equipment. The feeder rod is ready!

Self-assembly of a spinning rod

It’s not difficult to assemble a spinning rod yourself. As a rule, it contains the following parts:

spinning rod;
spinning reel;
braid or monofilament;
leash;
bait.

First, assemble a spinning rod, then attach a reel to it, stretch the line and wind it around the spool.

The leash is secured using any fishing knot known to you, after which the bait is attached to it. If you do not plan to use a leash, mount the lure directly on the fishing line.

Making your own gear for winter fishing

For winter fishing, several types of gear are most often used; almost all of them can be made by hand.

A jig fishing rod is one of the traditional and widespread equipment for fishing under ice. This gear includes: a rod for winter fishing with a reel, monofilament line, a float and a jig with a hook.

You can assemble such a fishing rod very quickly, it does not cause much trouble. Twenty to fifty meters of fishing line are wound onto the reel. Now all you have to do is attach the jig to the fishing rod and the tackle is ready.

Fishing rods for trolling predatory fish are assembled in the same way. In this case, you need to use a more powerful rod, and a spinner will take the place of the jig.

Remember - when making fishing tackle, you need to pay attention to all the details, to every little thing.

Any knot must be wetted in water, the fishing line must be checked for strength, and the reel must rotate easily. By following these simple rules, you can make any fishing tackle with your own hands.

This spoon is small in size and imitates the behavior of a beetle or other insect that has fallen into the water. Peaceful and predatory fish are caught with a fly using a spinning rod. The bait is especially good for catching trout and grayling.

Devons

They belong to the class of rotating spinners. Rotation, which occurs with the help of several blades, and not due to a rotating petal as on (rotators).

Devons are designed for fishing in troubled waters. Excellent for long casting without loss of accuracy.

Making an oscillating spoon

The easiest to manufacture are spinners. Even novice fishermen can make them. The spoon is made from any non-ferrous metal, preferably from sheet copper, aluminum, stainless steel with a thickness of 1 to 3 mm.

On a sheet of metal we draw the outline of our spinner and cut it out with metal scissors. The edges must be processed with a file and sandpaper to a smooth surface.

The surface of the spoon must be sanded to a shine using felt and goy paste.

We drill small holes for the winding ring and tee. The holes also need to be cleaned.

The main thing when making a spinner with your own hands is the color of the spinner itself.

The colors of the spoon affect the catch as well as the design. A silver-colored spinner is always more catchy than any other.
