Good day! We vacationed in Phuket at Must See Hotel from 02/01/2017 to 02/11/2017. Let's start in order.
We arrived from Biblio Globus. Flight time local time is 05:00 am. We got to the hotel quickly, the whole journey took 40-45 minutes. The guide gave out local SIM cards. No incidents. Check-in: This is where the fun begins. The hotel is half empty, guys from Belarus came with us on the bus. The room category is the same. They are checked in immediately, we are kept until 11:00. Breakfast is not provided on the day of arrival. There is no local money. Exchangers start working from 10:00. They don’t give us water to drink, we have nothing to buy food with. Euros and dollars are not accepted anywhere, only local currency.
11:00 They took pity on us and gave us a room on the 4th floor overlooking the mine. The hotel is half empty again. We ask for an additional payment, and not a small one, 10,000 baht for 10 days to change to a room with a balcony - they don’t change! Okay... let's go up to the room. The stairs are heavy, the steps are high, by the time you walk you are short of breath and your heart is pounding, let’s get off the road and go to the shower. I grab liquid soap with my hand (there is soap with a dispenser and shampoo with a dispenser hanging on the wall), the soap tank falls to the floor and breaks into pieces. Moreover, the hook remained behind. If it had been torn off by force, it would have come off, but the hook is not in place. As it turned out later, this is a Thai trick to cheat the Russians out of money. They don't fasten well, they all fall, resulting in a fine of 400 baht (800 rubles). Yes, it seems like a trifle, but it’s not pleasantly creepy. We call the cleaning lady and show her. A bunch of Thais from the reception immediately arrive and start issuing a fine. The scheme has been worked out. We refuse to pay. We leave the question until the guide arrives.
The next day the guide arrives in the morning. This is a separate passenger. All show-off, snickering. He refused to resolve our issue, it’s up to you to decide for yourself. Further more, the sales of excursions begin, as usual. Everything would be fine, the prices seem affordable, but... so much show-off... "Let's say it faster, I don't have time to sit here with you, buy everything today, I won't come again." steel out of principle. At the same time, we saw him every day...in short, a cheap scam. We bought excursions on the street, a little cheaper, and didn’t regret it at all.
The next day we still managed to have breakfast. This is a different story: cucumbers, tomatoes, bitter lettuce, pineapples and watermelons are always out, you have to ask and humiliate yourself for them to be brought, you wait 5 minutes, they bring it with a dissatisfied face. Sausages are impossible to eat toilet paper. The ham is lying in hot water, of unknown origin. Boiled eggs, fried eggs from one egg - leeward. There is one type of sweet bread, white. Two types of cereal, jam and butter in small packages. There is a toaster, tea, coffee are already ready, strong and bitter, sugar packets and one kind of Jupi juice - that's it!!! And we were like this twice, nothing changed. We went to have breakfast at the cafe opposite for money. It is not possible to eat what they give there.
Then we went to the beach. Don’t believe the scam about “less than 200 meters from the sea” - it’s a lie!!! This is the second, or even the third line. To get to Kata beach you need to walk along the “shit river” for 7-9 minutes. This is a real river with human shit and urine flowing from the adjacent hotels. Going around is also a dubious pleasure, cars, tuk-tuks, scooters, and back up the hill in the heat.
Kata Beach - well, it could be cleaner, it reminds me of Sochi and Anapa. The sea is more or less clean, but there are cigarette butts lying along the shore, candy wrappers and a lot of Russians drinking and smoking. Unpleasant.
Karon Beach is even worse, dirtier, smaller in area. When we got there, we didn’t even bother to undress. But some people like it there more than on the Kata; they say entering the sea is more pleasant. Haven't tried it, I can't say anything about it.
The best beach you've ever been to is Kata Noi. Clean, not many people, mostly Europeans. The downside is that it takes 12-15 minutes to travel by tuk-tuk. The price is 200 baht one way, taxi 250 baht one way. But believe me, it's worth it. Pattong Beach is generally trash. It seems to me that in the evening they have sex there without hesitation. Fuck it, drugs, everyone's drinking. We went to the shopping center in Pattong, and we walked to the beach - horror!!! The shopping center is also nothing. Expensive, they pass off fakes as originals, glasses and souvenirs - more expensive than in resort area"Kata" 1.5-2 times. Don't waste your precious time.
Alcohol: not sold 24 hours a day. Bought at 7 eleven. The cheapest supermarket is right next to our hotel - at least we should have been lucky in some way)). The beer is not very tasty, we drank Heiniken. 44 baht small jar. In restaurants and cafes from 80 baht to 110. We took rum - 300 baht - 03 l. And cola in cans - 14 baht for a small can.
You are allowed into restaurants with your own alcohol if you order at least something to eat from them. That's what we've always done. And on the spot they asked for ice and lime. Anyway, all the alcohol in restaurants is local, the same, I don’t see the point in overpaying.
The food in all restaurants is about the same, look where there are more people. Prices are approximately the same. We have been staying at the PINK restaurant for the last 3-4 days. As you leave the hotel to the left, you reach the main street, do not cross the road, walk along the road to the right. It turns out right at the intersection. The music is playing, the steaks are delicious, the seafood is fresh, in general, we liked it there. At least some kind of sanitation, unlike many cafes. The average bill without alcohol is 500-700 baht for lunch/dinner. They won't let you go hungry.
It was my husband's birthday during the holiday period! No card, no fruit, nothing! At the same time, we are sitting at the reception; it should be a foreigner’s birthday! The Thais jump up and in English begin to tell you that a present is waiting for you in the morning, we will come to congratulate you - well, it’s unpleasant! The attitude at the hotel towards Russians is extremely negative, they don’t always even just say hello to Russians (((, and they always left 100 baht for tea, it doesn’t affect.
Room cleaning is acceptable. The floors are not washed every day, if you throw towels on the floor, they change them, if you forget, they don’t change them. Everything in the room is old. The stench is terrible. Condey worked constantly, it hums like on an airplane, you can’t sleep sober. The humidity is strong, it takes 2 days for the laundry to dry. Moreover, there is another unpleasant moment - in the room there is a list of prices for damage to property - ONLY in Russian for our tourists. From the series: a pissed mattress, a pillow, a sheet, broken glasses and a sink.
In general, there is only one negative thing about the hotel.
And it’s not that we’re snickering tourists, but we’ve seen a lot of countries and were in Pattaya a couple of years ago, but the attitude towards Russians there is much better.
The exchange rate is 1 baht - 2 Russian rubles. Everything is quite expensive. Among the excursions we went to a show for adults and trolling fishing. Once you can watch the show, the fishing sucks. The boats are old, not a single tourist caught anything, they were treated like pigs, they prepared some kind of ballanda, it was impossible to eat, the dishes were dirty, the rice was sticky, mega-spicy soup, chicken and pineapples. That's all. It costs 2700 baht per person. Everyone got seasick and vomited. Dubious pleasure.
Brief summary: for the entire vacation with shows and sea fishing, we spent 1,500 euros. At the same time, they carried alcohol with them to the restaurant; they never even ordered lobster. We spent very little on gifts. The money was spent on drinking, eating, sometimes drinking, and travel. I would never return to this hotel even for free. There are a lot of places where we are welcome, with quality service and attitude. Well, if you have already purchased a ticket to this hotel, I advise you to pay a little extra and change to another hotel. In any case, don't be upset! The main thing is to ask for a lower floor and a room without a view of the mine. For the vouchers themselves, we paid 82 thousand rubles for two from 01 to 11.

Beach

In Thailand, only a few can boast private beach. At the same time, the vast majority of all hotel complexes located next to city beaches, many of which are not always suitable for families with children. It may be too noisy, even dirty in places, rough seas with high waves, or sharp depths.

Must Sea is very lucky in this regard: the complex was built in close proximity to some of the most luxurious beaches on the island of Phuket - Kata and Karon, which boast excellent conditions for a family holiday.

Here are some of them:

  • Soft, almost “velvet” sand, on which children can safely run, frolic and play without fear of getting hurt or hitting rocks or pebbles.
  • Well-groomed and clean - city beaches are always closely monitored, they are cleaned, and cleared of excess garbage.
  • Modern beach equipment - umbrellas, mattresses, sun loungers, you can rent whatever you want. At the same time, there is no need to go to the sea early in the morning - there are always plenty of free sun loungers.
  • Coastal cafes where you can enjoy fresh, just caught shrimp, mussels, and fish. Convenient because there is no need to pack your things and go to lunch in distant places + beautiful view on the sea.
  • Smooth, gentle entry into the water. A huge plus for people traveling with children.

Both beaches are a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Kata is a little closer than Karon.

It is also worth mentioning the well-known Kata Noi - a favorite place for couples to take romantic photos. They say that photos and videos taken here against the background of a scarlet sunset and the evening sea turn out incredibly beautiful! It is located a little further, it is not so crowded and noisy, the beach is more suitable for a calm and more measured holiday. Parents of babies will especially like it; babies can sleep peacefully in the fresh air, without being distracted by loud music and voices.

The location of the hotel is more than good. The distance from the complex to Phuket International Airport is only 50 km!
