I had to go to the bar and sit there for half an hour while the room was cleaned.
It is very hot in bars and restaurants. This is a problem, in my opinion. We called the elevators a torture chamber. 45 degrees in them. While you are driving to the eighth floor and stopping at each floor, sweat flows in streams. It's strange, but it's very difficult to find coolness in a hotel. Doors are open everywhere and the air conditioners can't cope. The reception area is especially hot. The main restaurant is stuffy. It is impossible to sit for a long time. There are vertical air conditioners there - if you sit next to them, you can get cool. The only bar where you can relax is the winter bar, next to the pastry shop, where they serve ice cream from 14:00 to 20:00. And in the room, the air conditioning works well.
There are chairs in the lobby that smell horribly of some kind of chemical.
Several times I noticed insect bites on my body. Especially on the arms and legs. I couldn't figure out where it came from. There are no insects on the beach, the same in the hotel (we thought so). Upon my return, I read in one of the reviews that there were bedbugs in the chairs. I do not recommend sitting for a long time in the lobby chairs in the area where the guide boards are located.
The food is typical for Turkey. I would say more monotonous than in other hotels with the UAll system. For breakfast there are always the same tasteless pancakes and scrambled eggs. An omelette with fillings will not be prepared individually for you. You can make your own toast.
The restaurant is huge. Waiters serve drinks upon request. They try, but fail. You have to sit and wait or wave your arms to be noticed. Dirty plates are not removed from tables in front of you. We had seafood once in 10 days. At the same time, tourists take so much on their plates that everything ends very soon.
The alcohol is of poor quality. I have never tasted such disgusting dry red warm wine. Whiskey and cognac are local and not very good. We had to supplement with beer (Tuborg) and juice. On the beach in the bar there is packaged juice. Divorced in other places.
We ate lunch at a bar near the beach. They serve several types of pizza, pasta, dessert and fruit. Also, there is one waiter. Doesn't notice you. You have to clear the table yourself in order to sit down. And then wait a long time for the order. Here nationality does not matter. The pizza is prepared by the chef with his hands without gloves. You have to move the lounger around to catch the shadow. There are only a few mattresses on sunbeds. You need to arrive early - then you can take a sun lounger with a mattress. There is always a breeze at sea. The sea is stormy in the afternoon and brings algae. But this is not Anapa - the grass does not interfere with swimming. You can sail away and enjoy the purity and peace.
