    How to get from Santa Susanna to Barcelona and back

    To come to Santa Susanna and not see Barcelona - no tourist will forgive himself for such an omission. The distance from Barcelona to Santa Susanna is approximately 60 kilometers.

    There are different ways to get to Barcelona:

    • Rent a car, because in Spain this is not a problem if you have an international driving license and at least one year of driving experience. The journey will take no more than 40–50 minutes, fuel consumption will be approximately 5 liters of gasoline, i.e. you will have to spend 5–9 euros on the road*.
    • You can also get to Barcelona by bus, taking it on line 603 at the Santa Susanna stop. Buses run at intervals of about five hours; travel time usually takes about an hour and a half. Ticket price is from 6 to 10 euros. You can view the transport schedule both at the bus station and on the Internet.
    • The cheapest trip to Barcelona will be if you go there by train or train. How much it costs will depend on how early the ticket was purchased. On average, you will have to pay no more than 6 euros, and if you are lucky, then no more than three. Travel time will be approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. As for travel intervals, trains run much more often than buses - every half hour.
    • One of the most expensive trips will be if you want to order a taxi - here they will immediately pick up tourists at the hotel and take them straight to their destination, but the price will be at least 60 euros.

    You can get back from Barcelona to Santa Susanna using all of the above methods, but it will be a little more expensive than in the first case, and you will need to make transfers on some types of transport:

    • A car is the only type of transport where the fare will not differ: in order to get back from Barcelona, ​​you will need to pay from 6 to 11 euros.
    • By bus from Barcelona you can only get to Santa Susanna with a taxi transfer. First, you will need to take a bus on line 603 at the Barcelona - Ronda Sant Pere stop, get to the Pineda de Mar - Esglesia de Santa Maria Benzinera station and transfer to a taxi. Travel time by bus will be about 1 hour 20 minutes with a ticket costing approximately 20 euros, plus a 5 km taxi road, which will take about nine minutes.
    • There are no direct trains to Santa Susanna either. First, you will need to take the train at the Barcelona Plaza Catalunya station, paying from 15 to 19 euros, get to the Pineda de Mar station and then transfer to a taxi, which will take tourists to their destination in about eleven minutes.
    • One of the most expensive trips, as in the first route, will be using a taxi. But from Barcelona this pleasure will cost even more - about 10...20 euros more than in Santa Susanna. For such a trip, you will most likely have to pay from 75 to 95 euros.

    • When going to Spain, do not forget about applying for a Schengen visa, which is better to take care of in advance.

    • Don’t forget about the scorching sun and use protective equipment to protect your skin from burns.
    • For those who love noisy nightclubs and night parties, despite the presence of bars and discos in Santa Susanna, it is better to look for another city, since this resort is created more for a relaxing family holiday.
    • It is better to book tickets for both train and bus for traveling to other cities in advance or buy online in your home country, or a couple of days before the trip at the station - this way you can save a lot.
