Today the situation has changed: in the “high” Su-Psekh they built private access to the sea, with observation decks and rest areas. After 800 steps this descent leads to a narrow pebble beach. There are few people on this beach, there is no service - ordinary wild beach. True, local residents persistently “promote” the village with the help of this beach- according to their version, the prima donna of the Russian stage, A.B. Pugacheva, bought a dacha in Su-Psekha, and thanks to her efforts, a descent to the sea appeared.

Having seen a photo of the view from Mount Lysaya in Supsekha last December, I almost confused this place with Cape Fiolent in Crimea. Do you agree that there are certain similarities? 🙂 When I found out that these unreal landscapes were located on the southern outskirts of Anapa, I was very surprised! After all, I’ve been there so many times, and I didn’t even suspect that there was such beauty nearby.. In general, there was no way back, I understood that I had to go :)

On a warm Saturday in January, we picked up the girls - Aigul and Lyuba, left Krasnodar not very early and went to the sea shores. In general, I love the winter sea - there are few people, fresh air, much warmer than in many cities, and the color of the sea is just space.

We only had a rough idea of the starting point of the route, so we had to navigate on the spot.

Observation deck "Swallow's Nest"

Having reached Anapa, we turned to Supsekh. Next we had to find an old cemetery, and there you could already see Mount Lysaya. It wasn’t difficult to find the path up; after about 10 minutes of climbing, we quickly rushed to capture the vast expanses of the sea! The resort town is visible in the distance.

The place where we climbed is called “Swallow’s Nest” (again associations with Crimea..)

I’ll be honest, it was very difficult to tear yourself away from the landscapes and stop photographing everything around :)

But we managed, now we had to find the famous 800-step staircase. It took us a while to figure out its location - we went towards the tempting huge white “balls”.

The height of Mount Lysaya is 319 meters, which is quite high relative to the surrounding area. Perfect place for TV towers and military radars, isn't it? 🙂 They say that some of these antennas were and still are in these “balls”. They also say that visiting them is not recommended... And a cyclist passing by did not advise coming close. But that’s how we look at it.

After examining the balls, the search for the stairs continued. Returning to the swallow's nests, we decided to go down the mountain and look around there - wooden roofs and sports were visible from above. area. We assumed that this was a campsite - and they were not mistaken!

Camping "Paradise"

The campsite has many gazebos with tables and benches, cool views, each with its own grill. There are showers and toilets. The territory on the sea side is fenced with a wooden fence. Almost all the gazebos are located in the shade of bushes, but the places for tents were a little confusing - it felt like they were offering to camp under the scorching sun. Well, it looks like this summer is not a place for the faint of heart :)

Translated into Russian, Su-Psekh means “Water-Water”. I suspect that water is also involved in these eroded shores

The main “attraction” of the campsite was definitely the 400-step staircase!

Not 800, but also not bad - it was enough for us, for example.

We went down almost to the end - several steps were broken, most likely during a storm.

The campground's gazebos are great for a picnic: we stopped in one of them, made coffee, unpacked our sandwiches, and, contentedly, refreshed our strength to the sound of the waves. It turned out to be a good lunch, especially for mid-January :) If I were a Michelin restaurant critic, this place would be under open air would get 3 stars from me just for the view! 😀

A man in a UAZ drove us back to the top of the mountain, and to the question “What is the name of this campsite?” An answer was received from him: “What, you can’t see it? Paradise!". We really liked the “Paradise” camping, later we even found their contacts - we want to return here in the warm season.

Meanwhile, the “800 steps” staircase was still not discovered, and we moved on. We had only one option left: the stairs are located closer to Anapa.

And so, after a 15-minute walk from “ Swallow's nest" along the ridge along the sea, our goal was achieved! A long metal staircase with viewing platforms reminiscent of the decks of a ship... It's definitely worth visiting at least once. We never went down to the beach - we must leave something for our next visit here.

I really didn’t want to leave, but the sun was already approaching the horizon. After finally admiring the views of the sunset Supsekh, we stopped in Anapa, fed the ducks and swans, and went home.

See you again, wonderful Supsekh!

Located just 2 km from the center of Anapa, Supsekh can hardly be called a traditional resort. Despite the fact that here the sea is literally right under your nose, and all the infrastructure is available, you won’t be able to just calmly go for a dip. The town is located at the very top of Mount Lysaya, that is, the views from there are fantastic, but to the sea you have to walk as many as 800 steps. And you will end up in an unequipped sand beach, and on wild pebble. But those who appreciate relaxing in relative solitude and tranquility, without noisy crowds and shouts of “boiled corn”, will definitely enjoy Supsekh.

The name of the village is also interesting: it can literally be translated as “water-water.” It’s just that “su” from Turkic and “psou” from Circassian are translated the same way. It turns out that in the nearby peaks there are many pure ice springs, which in ancient times were brought directly to the doorsteps of local residents thanks to an elaborate system of ceramic pipes.

How to get there

Supsekh is located along the so-called “resort route”, which leads from Anapa to Sukko and Bolshoi Utrish, so getting to the village is not difficult - a lot of buses and minibuses stop here. If you wish, you can easily walk to Anapa - 2 km and half an hour to the center.

Weather in Supsekha

Like all resorts on this section of the Black Sea coast, Supsekh boasts amazing “solar stability” - as many as 280 sunny days a year. The climate is temperate continental, steppe, with hot summers (+25...+27°C) and warm winter no snow. At the height of the season, the water warms up to +24 °C, you can start swimming in May and continue until the end of October.

Supsekh beaches

As mentioned above, there are no beaches in the traditional sense in Supsekh. You can go to Anapa beaches (sandy, but it takes a long time to get to the depths) or to the coasts of Sukko (pebble, depth - 15 m) and Bolshoy Utrish (pebble, very clean).

Not so long ago, Supsekha had its own section of the coast, a path that was wild, but very picturesque. The descent to the sea is a staircase of 800 steps with observation platforms and places to relax. There are few people here, there is no service.

Infrastructure

There are no problems with accommodation and food in Supsekha - you can stay at the Istok boarding house (from 1000 RUB per room), the Log Paradise hotel (about 1600 RUB per season) or by renting a corner from private owners (from 500 RUB).

Prices on the page are as of September 2018.

For full meals, you should go to the barbecue yard “At Uncle Firdus’s”, for desserts - to the “Romashka” confectionery, you can just have a nice sit at “Pivomania” or “Live Beer”. Finally, you can throw a magnificent banquet at Levada.

Entertainment and attractions in Supsekh

It is no coincidence that Mount Lysaya is called such an unsightly name. Once upon a time, oak forests rustled here, oaks and beeches grew - today there is no shade here to hide from the sweltering heat and scorching sun. But local enterprising residents planted fruit trees and vineyards here, which made Supsekh famous. Since the end of the 19th century, Riesling Su-Psekh has received many awards at prestigious international competitions and was even delivered to the court of the Queen of England.

Supsekh is also a popular place among paragliders and hang gliders; it is also famous among horseback riding enthusiasts. In particular, they offer exciting hiking and horseback riding along the mountainous shores of the town, and walks to the top of Bald Mountain. It is worth going up to the observation deck, which is 200 meters high. Finally, visit the “Russian Bells” exhibition, which is open to tourists completely free of charge.

  • Where to stay: directly in Anapa or the closest to it Dzhemet, in Sukko, generous with entertainment, in comfortable Vityazevo, in cozy and calm Blagoveshchenskaya, in the famous Abrau-Durso.
  • Where to go: for entertainment in Anapa, in the hero city of Novorossiysk, for a tasting of you-know-what in

Just two kilometers from Anapa is the unique village of Supsekh. It cannot be called a traditional resort due to the unusual location of the village. It is located at the very top of the mountain called Lysaya. It seems that the sea is rustling very close, but in fact, to get to it, you need to climb several hundred steps.

Getting to the village is easy. It is located on a busy highway called the “resort” road. If desired, you can walk to Anapa. The climate in the village is steppe, temperate continental. It's hot in summer, warm in winter and there's no snow. In mid-summer the water warms up to 25 0 C, and the swimming season lasts until the end of October.

There is no traditional equipped beach in Supsekha, so holidays here are chosen by fans of secluded relaxation, who can sacrifice comfort for the sake of beautiful nature and silence. The beaches of Anapa or Sukko are very close from the village; you can get there by car or minibus at any time.

Beach in Supsekh

Not so long ago it could be said about Supsekha that there was no beach holiday in the village, and tourists staying here were forced to travel to Anapa or Sukko every day. If we talk about Anapa, the sea in the city is very shallow and it is problematic for an adult to swim in it.

Now the situation with beach holidays in Supsekh has changed. In the “high” village they built a staircase leading to the sea. The beach is located under a cliff, and lovers will like it active rest. You can walk to the sea along Vishnevaya and Designerskaya streets. A metal staircase of 800 steps leads down. You can rest along the way. The stairs are equipped observation decks, where you can sit and admire the seascape. Locals with the advent of the descent to the sea, they began to actively advertise beach holiday in the village, claiming that Alla Pugacheva herself purchased a dacha in Supsekha and the stairs to the sea were built on her initiative.

By the way, if you look at the staircase from above, its silhouette will resemble a smaller copy of the great Chinese wall. Having gone down, tourists will be rewarded with the most clear sea in the Anapa region. Already from the mountain, the color of the water amazes the imagination - a transparent blue sea with an emerald tint.

There is no infrastructure on the beach. To get to the store, you have to climb the stairs and then go down again, so you need to take everything you need with you right away. You can’t always meet vacationers on the beach; the shore here is always free. The coast is covered with pebbles and stones, and there are also stones in the water, so swimming and walking along the shore will be problematic without special shoes.

The village's beach attracts not only sunbathers. Divers and snorkelers often come here. The water on the coast is very clear and allows for spearfishing or photography.

Where to sunbathe in Supsekh

Access to the sea in the village is difficult, with a child or an elderly person it is difficult to overcome high stairs impossible, so tourists staying in Supsekh go to the nearest beaches. Anapa is only 2 km from the village. This distance is easy to cover even on foot, and by minibus the journey takes only 15 minutes. Anapa is known to everyone as a children's resort. The beaches in the city are sandy and the sea is very shallow.

Many people prefer to go swimming and sunbathing on the beaches of the Utrish reserve. Compared to Anapa, it is much quieter and calmer here, but the infrastructure is less developed. The beaches in Utrish are clean, and the healing aromas of juniper are in the air.

When we told our friends that we were going on vacation to Supsekh, they did not immediately understand us. They said there was nothing to do there, there was no beach there. And we liked it. The beach, of course controversial issue. It seems to be there, but not everyone dares to get to it. The village is located on a mountain, the sea is below, you can go down the only staircase of 850 steps (the locals told me different numbers, it seems no one was able to count). They are found by daredevils who dare to go straight down the slope. Such attempts end sadly; at best, you have to sit on the slope waiting for rescuers. We ventured down the stairs to the beach. At first it seems that there is nothing complicated, the stairs are quite comfortable, the steps have a good slope, it’s easy to walk, but the concrete steps are quickly replaced by metal ones. And if you look down, there will be a 100-meter cliff under your feet. Those who are afraid of heights have nothing to do here. You start clinging to the railing, but it’s just a metal pipe. Along the way there are observation platforms with benches. Theoretically, you can sit on them and relax, but in practice, the floor there is all rusty and it’s scary to enter the platforms. As a result, we went down for more than half an hour. But what we saw was worth all the torment. The beach is deserted, the water is clear, azure in color, the sea is warm, the beach is clean. Some advantages. I don't want to leave the beach. We spent the whole day on the beach. The children were chasing fish in the shallow water. Climbing stairs is easier in the sense that you no longer look down and don’t notice the height, but physically going up is very difficult, especially after relaxing in the sun. It is important to take enough water with you. As a result, if we walked down for a little over half an hour, then it took us an hour and a half to get up (feel the difference)))

We were going to the sea and stopped in Supsekha. The village is wonderful, we were very lucky with housing, but local beach we didn't dare to go. The stairs seem insurmountable, and I'm also afraid of heights. Therefore, we went by car to Anapa. Everyone knows about Anapa: the sea is shallow, there is sand on the beach, there are a lot of people and it’s noisy.
