The second rule is that in any case, the weather during the rainy season is not so favorable for relaxation. You should be prepared for waves, even on sheltered beaches, as well as wind, short periods of precipitation and higher humidity.

The dominant monsoons in the western part of Phuket island create big waves at sea, while in the eastern part of the island the sea remains quite calm.
