Healing park and mineral glade in the hot spring are tourist sites in the Krasnodar region. Did you like Goryachy Klyuch Mountain Park? Rock Cockerel - an excellent observation deck

When you want peace and fresh air - the best option go for the weekend and take a walk in the park of the city of Goryachiy Klyuch. From Krasnodar, drive along the M-4 Don highway for about 55 km. We usually park the car at the hotel " old lock", we cross the bridge over the Psekups river and here it is - park area G. Hot key. And you slowly begin to wander along the shady alleys, where there are many plants and trees, since the park is practically adjacent to the forest, as if merging with it, sit on benches, wander along the paths, listen to the chirping of birds.

In the center of the park there is a Mineral Glade, next to it there are wells of local sources of mineral water, which from here flows into the Drinking Gallery and the Hydrotherapy Center. Drinking gallery: you buy cups at the entrance (ordinary plastic ones, although you can bring your own if they are available). There are taps with warm mineral water and cold ones, they are also divided into salted and unsalted. You can drink as much as you like - water is free, many people pour it into bottles with them - but as far as I know, natural mineral water quickly loses its medicinal properties.

Let's go further: we see a small chapel built in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. It is carved right into the rock - and blends very harmoniously with the surrounding landscape. On Fridays at 11.00 there is an Akafest (church service) in front of the icon of the Mother of God of the same name - so go for it, it will count in heaven.

Nearby is the healing Iveron spring (ferruginous mineral water) - illumination in the name of the healer Panteleimon. Feel free to drink this water, and drink a lot - there are rumors that by drinking a bucket, you can miraculously rejuvenate.

I recommend wandering around Dante’s Gorge - a very beautiful combination of nature and modern “rock painting”. People tried to immortalize in stone their names, love stories, sacred symbols, even not only their own portraits, but also the faces of their leaders. In general, there is something to look at, and if you wish, I think you won’t be able to resist scribbling a message for history with something.

There is also a historical landmark (for retro lovers) - the Adyghe Pillar. It is made from a fragment of a Byzantine column and is decorated with inscriptions in Arabic carved into the stone. Installed long ago for eternal memory a certain Khapach Lakshuk, one of the most famous heroes of the Bzhedukho tribe ( ordinary people I think this will be enough information).

For connoisseurs of natural beauty: the Psekups River and the Cockerel Rock - sheer cliff 28 meters. The top of the rock consists of six teeth, reminiscent of a cockscomb. It is visible from the Don highway. Not Elbrus, of course, but it’s good for contemplation.

The rock has two small caves (Zvonkaya and Salvation). Between them is the steep Staircase of Life, carved out of stone. From the Rock of Salvation (Cockerel) there is a beautiful view of the valley of the Psekups river.

I won’t write about all sorts of arches - monuments, shops - sanatoriums, let it be a surprise for you. But I strongly recommend visiting this park - you will drink plenty of mineral water, light some candles, and get your fill - it is still good for your health.

Healing Park - a place where I like to go when I want peace, I want to listen to the birds singing, and breathe fresh air. It is located on the M4 highway, in resort town Hot key. Locals think they live in paradise countries. The air here is truly fabulous. We come here at least four times a year for drinking water, we buy it in packs from the store at the plant mineral waters"Goryacheklyuchevskaya" and enjoy the natural crystal water.
Water is a useful part of our trip, and a pleasant part is the Healing Park. Here the soul rests, the lungs take in clean forest air. I want to come back here again and again to see the mysterious Dante’s Gorge overgrown with moss, climb the Rock of Salvation or admire the Psekups River from the Happy Bridge... And once again be convinced that the best artist on Earth is Nature.
One February day, when the bright sun was shining in the blue sky in Krasnodar, and everything reminded us of the approaching spring, it was decided to replenish our water supplies and take a walk through the Healing Park.

Advertising - club support

We leave the city, 50 kilometers along the highway towards the Black Sea, and we are at the fork to Goryachiy Klyuch. The weather that day was +2. Winter. Snow. The sun hid as soon as the mountains appeared...
Goryachy Klyuch is a small town, very green, remote from industrial centers and negative consequences of civilization.

The geographical location adds only advantages to it: forest, Caucasian foothills, mineral springs. One way is 50 kilometers - Krasnodar, the other - 50 kilometers - the Black Sea (Dzhubga).

I didn’t explore the city for sightseeing (I didn’t set such a goal). What I like about Goryachy Klyuch is the “Alley of 1000 Pines”, Pitsunda pine grows over two kilometers. It leads to the Healing Park from the city side. And a swan lake with spring water. True, I rarely saw swans.

We leave the city and enter the park from the M4 highway. If you are on your way to the Black Sea or are already tanned and rested returning home, I recommend stopping for a couple of hours at this interesting place. Your guide will be restaurant and hotel complex "Old Castle". There's a big one there free parking on both sides of the highway with a pedestrian crossing.

The territory of the “Old Castle” is well-groomed, with fountains, mills, beautiful view on Salvation Rock, children's playground. On weekends it is always crowded.

We pass by souvenir shops and a beekeeper’s honey shop (by the way, the honey there is very tasty and there are good herbs) on Happy Bridge across the Psekups River, which leads to the park.

During the warmer months, you can rent a catamaran and admire the views from the river. Many people on the Happy Bridge take photographs Salvation Rock, also called Cockerel. On the crest of the rock there is a platform with a gazebo, from where beautiful views of the Psekups River valley open from a height of 28 meters. The water in the river has a special green color; in this place it is rich in hydrogen sulfide.

Walking around the Healing Park is a pleasure. Even in winter we admire the flower beds. More than a hundred rare plant species have been planted here. Near the building sanatorium "Caucasus Foothills" and near the “White Obelisk” you can see Ginkgo - this is a long-living tree, growing up to 1400 years. Dinosaurs also feasted on the seeds of a medicinal plant. There are not many of these trees left on the planet. You can find ginkgo in Japan, southern China and Krasnodar region. Also, let me tell you a secret, moths really don’t like the smell of dry leaves of this tree.

On the territory of the Healing Park there are several sanatoriums that use unique mineral water, combining healing properties Essentuki drinking springs and Matsesta hydrogen sulfide waters. But that’s not what my review is about, so I won’t go into details.

Opposite the hydropathic clinic there is a drinking gallery. There is water out of three thermal springs seven types, different in chemical composition and temperature. Next to the drinking pump rooms there is a sanatorium employee who can advise which water will be healthier for you. We go to the herbal bar to enjoy oxygen and pectin cocktails.

We didn’t pass by the Pigeon Restaurant and stocked up some treats for the birds: raisins and sunflower seeds.

We also have a little tradition! Every time, after walking along the alleys of the park, we come to the “Baking” kiosk and buy pies.

We especially liked the khamirs with cheese and mushrooms.

Everything is fresh and hot, they are baked nearby in the “Oriental Kitchen”. If you order in a cafe, you will have to wait 40 minutes. Local residents highly praise manti, pilaf, samsa, and shurpa.

Gazebos for relaxation.

Caskets with souvenirs.

We also like to walk in the mountainous part of the Healing Park.

The heart of the park - Mineral glade, located at the foot of Mount Abadzekhskaya. There are wells of mineral water sources on it.

The only one in the world Monument to mineral water in the form of an obelisk.

Very beautiful Chapel of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. Carved into the rock in the 19th century next to a healing spring. The chapel is operational, you can light candles.

Amazing place - picturesque Dantovo (Hot) Gorge, is a fracture in the rock with steps cut out.

The rock is soft, so modern rock art is all over it, you can find mermaids, declarations of love, poems.

In mid-March, as soon as the weather became more or less suitable, we decided to make our first “outing” of the year to the local resorts. And our first object was the Hot Key.
The name of the Goryachiy Klyuch resort is known to many in our country, even those who have never been here, thanks to the mineral water of the same name. It is here that this medicinal water is extracted, which then ends up on the shelves of all stores in our country in the familiar “deer” bottles.

The resort is located next to the M4-Don federal highway, approximately halfway between Krasnodar and Dzhubga, so those who traveled to Krasnodar resorts along this route, we simply could not help but pay attention to the impressive hotel complex “Old Castle”, which can be called one of the hallmarks of the city.

The “Old Castle” is located on the banks of the Psekups River, while the city is located on the other bank. You can cross the bridge, which for some reason is called “Happy”. It also has another name - the Bridge of Hope. This is quite an impressive modern suspension bridge, which sways slightly underfoot.

Approaching the resort area, you will immediately smell the specific smell of hydrogen sulfide. Not far from the bridge there is a hydrogen sulfide spring; in the warm season you can often see a group of people sitting in the water near the shore. This is where this spring, considered healing, is located. The unusual color of the water – emerald green – also attracts attention.

After crossing the bridge, you find yourself in Mountain Park. At all, resort area The city is divided into two parts: the sanatorium-resort area itself, where sanatoriums and a drinking gallery are located, and the mountainous part, which is very picturesque and unique. The city is located in the foothills of the Caucasus, so it has a special topography, mountain climate, and interesting vegetation. Already in March, the first flowers bloom everywhere.

The first thing you will see on the central site of the mountain park is a monument to the famous physiologist I.P. Pavlova. Everyone remembers from the school curriculum about “Pavlov’s dog,” but few people know that he studied the beneficial properties of mineral waters. And although Pavlov was not in the Goryachy Spring, his scientific research here did not go unnoticed.

On the right hand of the monument there is an old blue and white building. This is an officer's hydropathic clinic, built in the 19th century. Here officers of the Russian army restored their health during and after the many years of the Caucasian war. Today the building houses the Kingdom of Neptune aquarium.

Behind this building there is an interesting object called the Adyghe Pillar. It dates back to the 12th century. This is a fragment of a column that somehow got here from Byzantium. There are inscriptions in ancient Arabic on it, and next to it there is a stone with a tablet on which the translation of the inscription is given.

Mineral glade

If you turn right from the pillar (from the side where the inscription is), you will follow the path towards Mineral Glade. This is a kind of “heart” of the park. Abadzekhskaya Mountain rises above the clearing. Here and there on the hills you can see images of white birds - or swans, or cranes. Perhaps this is due to some ancient legend, but, unfortunately, with which one, I don’t know. The places are very beautiful, really general impression spoil the numerous “autographs” left by modern savages.

The mineral clearing is a large rectangular area artificially excavated from the rock. It is not by chance that the glade is called this way, since it was here that the Psekup mineral waters came to the surface - the main treasure of these places.

For a long time, this place was not well-maintained, but the local tribes who lived here (the ancestors of the Circassians), and then pilgrims, still made their way to the springs for healing water. Today everything here is equipped and improved, but water from the sources no longer reaches the surface - it is diverted through special pipes to the drinking gallery.

The glade is located among the hills, so it is very quiet and peaceful here, in addition, there are several interesting objects located on it. The first is an obelisk standing in the very center of the site, dedicated to... mineral water of the resort. Yes, yes, it is considered the only monument in the world in honor of the mineral waters that healed many people, giving them strength, health and longevity, as well as in honor of “all those who worked to create the resort” (as it is written on the monument itself). The monument was erected in this place in honor of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the resort, in 1914.

The healing spring of St. Panteleimon is also located here. The water in the source is saturated with iron, so it has a specific taste - as if you are drinking from rusty dishes, a very unpleasant taste of rust remains in your mouth. The water flows very slowly, so it takes a lot of time to fill the bottle, and you risk having a long line behind you. But there is no point in putting this water into a bottle, since it very quickly loses its properties - the iron precipitates after just a few minutes. Therefore, it is better to come up with a glass and take a few sips, and also wash your face. This water is believed to have a rejuvenating effect. You can place a candle nearby.

In the mineral clearing there is an interesting chapel, very small, and as if it had grown out of a rock. This is the chapel of the Iveron Mother of God; it was erected here in the 19th century. Its internal part is a small grotto or cave carved into the Abdzekh rock, adjacent to which is a blue extension with a turret. Nearby there is a small depression in the form of a stone arch, reminiscent of the fact that there used to be another spring here - the Iversky Spring. the source was here back in the 20s of the last century, but after the shifts of mountain layers that occurred here, the source disappeared.

Dante's Gorge

Then the so-called “health path” begins, opening with a passage in the rock, which received beautiful name- "Dante's Gorge" - a fault in the rock. But before entering Dante's Gorge, located between boulders, hardly anyone can resist trying to climb the mountain along specially hollowed-out recesses for hands and feet.
This unique “attraction” is called the Rock of Temptation, since few people will pass by and not be tempted to climb up. Of course, children especially like this - schoolchildren excursion groups There is always a lot here from early spring to late autumn.

The Dante Gorge itself is not very long, but very picturesque, the maximum depth of the fault is 15 meters, stone steps lead up between stone blocks, a stream gurgles nearby, the water in which is clean and completely drinkable. True, again the impression is spoiled by the “rock paintings” of modern “cave people”. The fact is that rock here it is very soft, easily susceptible to knife, which is why everyone strives to leave a “good” memory of themselves here.

Having climbed up Dante's Gorge, you need to follow the path that turns into reverse side and runs parallel to the gorge almost directly above it. From the path you can look down and see a gorge and a stream. Moving further, you can look at the Mineral Glade from above.

Psyfabe Fortress

Presumably, it was on the mountain above the mineral clearing that the ancient fortress of Psyfabe (translated as “warm water”) was located. Until our time, nothing remains of it. There is an unusual small stone structure here, which many take to be the remains of a fortress, but in fact, it is an old water reservoir that has nothing to do with the fortress. However, this building often appears in photographs and is presented as part of the fortress.

The fortress, indeed, was once here, and a legend is associated with it about a beautiful princess, the daughter of a local prince who lived in this fortress, and a villain in love with her, who wooed the princess, but was refused. Then, in revenge, he bewitched the princess, because of which she was covered with terrible disfiguring ulcers. The frightened father turned to the wizard, who advised the princess to take baths with local spring water, and a miraculous healing occurred. The villain, as punishment, was imprisoned underground, where he was forever doomed to light fires and heat huge cauldrons of water, which is why hot springs flow here.

After walking a few more meters, you will come to the so-called Royal Pavilions. In fact, nothing remains of the royal pavilions built in the 19th century, but the modern pavilions still have the same name. The largest gazebo is located on the very high point, the next one is right at the place where the “ridge” of the Cockerel rock or Salvation rock is located.

Here once stood a gazebo, built for the arrival of Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich (brother of Emperor Alexander II) in 1864, but under the influence of the river, part of the rock collapsed, and with it the gazebo, and at the site of the collapse a “ridge” formed - almost vertical part of the rock.

Cockerel Rock or Salvation Rock

This rock is rightfully considered one of the main symbols of the city. In its outline it resembles a cockscomb. Daredevils often try to walk along this narrow ridge. From here there is a wonderful view of Psekups and the surrounding area, the foothills of the Caucasus.

The Cockerel Rock also has another name - the Rock of Salvation. there are many legends associated with this name. According to one of them, the Ancient Circassians gave the opportunity to a criminal sentenced to death penalty, save your life. He could jump from this cliff to Psekups, if he managed to survive, the sentence was not enforced, but he was expelled from the tribe forever.
Most best view The Cockerel rock opens from the opposite bank. There on the territory hotel complex « Old fortress“There is a platform from which you can see this rock in detail. Along its entire height, a very steep stone staircase rises from the river. Before our eyes, one risky guy tried to go down it, but after a few steps he abandoned this dangerous undertaking.

Actually, the attractions of the mountain park end here. Along the path along the river you can return to the site with the monument to I.P. Pavlova, from where to get to the resort park.

fluger19 — 15.04.2012

As I already told you, we have a tradition - in spring and autumn we go for a walk to the lovely town of Goryachiy Klyuch. I talked about the autumn walk
The weather whispered that it was time to go to the spring promenade. So the “rooks” flew off. And they successfully landed on the arch of the 140th anniversary of the resort.

A bit of useful theory. Yesterday I looked at maps of the city on the Internet - unfortunately, I couldn’t find a high-quality map indicating the main points of interest. Therefore, I chose the most decent one.

And a note for memory: your landmarks for the walk are Lenin Street and the Caucasus Foothills sanatorium. At the sanatorium the map is interrupted, but we must move on. All the “raisins” are behind him. If you arrived by car, then “Pedgorye” has parking (paid). If you categorically protest against the commercialism of parking attendants, fill one of the “pockets” to “Pedgorye”. In any case, check-in from Psekupskaya Street. Hereinafter only my own experience. Is there another? I ask you not to be greedy, but to share with the suffering people.
So, we park the cars at “Pedgorye” and move to Lenin Street. I take out my camera to the sarcastic comment “He’s taking out his murder weapon.” This is the traditional start to a most pleasant walk.
At the sanatorium "Caucasus Foothills".

We could have gone straight, but we went right. We need to diversify the route somehow.

Solarium. For now it's like a picnic spot.

Resort secrets. Here they are, tanks with dirt and other valuables.

“Zones” are different. Including these.

So, we can say “gardens”, having paraded along the Psekups River in an unimproved form, we come out to the square near the Drinking Gallery. All roads lead here. Not Rome, but still.

The bearing of October-pioneer childhood. They can walk in formation unconsciously...

In the drinking gallery. Mineral water is drunk from plastic disposable cups. Resort mugs with a spout are a thing of the past.

You can also bring your own container. That's it, the whole family.

Someone is encroaching on my oxygen cocktail. I asked you to just hold it!

Everything is for sale. Even dirt) Overseas, brought from Yeisk.

Let's move on. One of the new products recent years– a mobile guide indicating the phone number and attractions to visit. All of them are located nearby, and three (maximum four) hours will be enough to cover the entire list.

In order not to spoil the eyesight of dear readers, I am relaying the list:
- Rock of Salvation;
- Dante's Gorge;
- Chapel in honor of the Iveron Mother of God;
- Monument to Mineral Water;
- Arch in honor of the 50th anniversary of the resort;
- Man-made bath;
- Source of St. Panteleimon;
- Arch of the 140th anniversary of the resort;
- Triumphal Arch of the 145th anniversary of the resort;
- Adyghe pillar;
- An ancient water storage tank;
- Psyfabe Fortress.

We'll get to some of them today. In the meantime, to the embankment. To the Happy Bridge over the Psekups River.

In passing, on the way.

Bridge railing. It was as if there was some love-struck Twitter user with no access to the Internet and couldn’t resist leaving a little tweet.

It's time to charge up and scare passersby. In general, the ladies are all serious, career, subordinate. But on vacation they strive to climb somewhere.

Or depict a poster for the series “Sex and the City.”

Psekups, Psekups River. Stormy and wide. Relatively, of course. After the rains it's so muddy. On the left is the same Rock of Salvation, or in common parlance “Cockerel”.

Now about the bridge. On the opposite side of the bridge, near the federal highway leading to the sea, you can see this sign.

And here, an entrepreneur who built a bridge and a nice embankment along the river at her own expense, talks about the problems she encountered in connection with such a wonderful initiative. This is not funny at all. We need to say thank you to this person, and not open crazy criminal cases.

Thanks to the Happy Bridge, people returning from the sea can easily and quickly get to all the main attractions of Goryachy Klyuch. Without going into the city, just stop at the Old Castle Hotel and cross the river on the pedestrian bridge.

View from the bridge to the opposite bank. That's where we came from.

This is where trouble happened to me. By federal highway The participants of the cycling race rushed by, but I didn’t have time to run up and take a photo of them. How beautifully they raced! I was content with only the escort shot.

The same hotel “Old Castle”, the view is not great. Good hotel. The restaurant is so-so, but sleeping in the hotel is very pleasant. As in "Charming Meadow". This is a whole recreation complex located further along the federal highway, around the turn to Fanagoriyskaya. There are gazebos, picnic tables, and fishing.

An entire army of puppies jumped out from the depths of the woodpile. As a worker from the hotel said, there are as many as six puppies here. Their mother is from the “people”, but their father is of some blue blood. Of course, puppies leave no one indifferent.

Here's another one crawling out. Eh, we woke you up...

By face and behavior - the smartest.

Before us is the Rock of Salvation (aka “Cockerel”) in spring decoration.

Olya talks, Natasha listens attentively:

“One of the most famous natural monuments of the Caucasus. The rock was once called "Salvation Rock". It is located on the western slope of Abadzekh Mountain, on the Psekups River, on the outskirts of the resort town of Goryachiy Klyuch. Height is about 28 meters. The rock was created by the “persistence” of the Psekups River, which for millions of years, rounding the Abadzekh Mountain on its way, cut off its southern side. This is how an almost vertical cliff was born. The top of the rock consists of six teeth (another one, the seventh, collapsed into the river at night in the last century) and resembles a cockscomb. It is visible from the Don highway. The rock has two small caves (Zvonkaya and Salvation). Between them is the steep Staircase of Life, carved out of stone. From the Rock of Salvation (Cockerel) opens beautiful view to the valley of the Psekups River, the wooded spurs of the Pshaf ridge.” How does Olya know about this? from here As well as about many other things.

Olya, come to your senses, it’s still too early to swim!

The so-called “Mineral Glade”. In ancient times, it was here that the most abundant natural outlets of the Psekup mineral waters were located. Next to them, people dug holes in the ground, filled them with hot healing water. And they were treated as best they could. Then these places were landscaped, water from the springs was diverted through pipes closer to the resort. A monument to “living water” was erected in the center of the clearing.
On the left is the source of St. Panteleimon, on the right is the Chapel in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. Directly ahead is Dante's Gap.

Dante's Gorge. Yes, it was named after that same Dante Alighieri. The gorge was created by nature and people. Nature divided this narrow hundred-meter rocky gap (depth up to 15 meters) mountain slopes. In the 70s of the nineteenth century, people cut down a stone Dante's staircase along the bottom of the gorge and improved the clearing in front of the entrance (the springs in these places were swampy, the view of these places was far from resort-like, plus mosquitoes). Gradually, due to the destruction of rocks under the influence of the local Key Creek, snow and frost, the gorge became a little deeper and wider.

People decorated the walls with drawings.

Don't forget to consider the mermaid. On the wall.

Or you can do it like this.

At the source of St. Panteleimon.

“The source of ferruginous mineral water, accessible to all visitors to the Healing Park, was consecrated in 1995 in the name of the healer Panteleimon. It is located on the slope of a mountain in the Mineral Glade area. This facility is especially popular among vacationers; many believe that the spring water rejuvenates the body. Every year on August 9, water blessing prayers are held at this source.”

This is not the only source named after Panteleimon in our region. I talked about the source in the Mikhailo-Athos desert (in the mountains of Adygea) earlier

Officialities: “In 2009, in the anniversary year of the 145th anniversary of the resort, the entrance group to the Mountain Healing Park was erected ( Triumphal Arch) is a beautiful architectural structure in the style of a traditional jubilee arch. This ensemble is installed next to the hydropathic clinic, at the entrance to the area of the resort embankment and Mineral Glade, which undoubtedly emphasizes the importance of preserving the traditions of Goryachiy Klyuch and decorates the resort park with another attraction.”

Arch in honor of the 50th anniversary of the resort.
Officialities, for the last time for today: “An architectural monument of the 20th century. The arch was erected in 1914 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Goryachiy Klyuch resort in the Healing Park (it was then called Sanatorium) not far from the Drinking Gallery. Height is about five meters.

At the base of the square columns, united by an openwork metal lintel, based on the plot of an ancient painting about these places, figures of two lions were made and installed on massive slabs. They rest their front paws on the fallen boars. According to the authors, this means a symbolic victory of health over disease.
On the columns of the arch there are dates: “1864” and “1914” (before the revolution, the entrance to the park was here; later the park was expanded towards the center of Goryachiy Klyuch). The statues of lions tormenting defeated boars were erected after the Great Patriotic War.”
An important thing is a lecture on TV series and new films. It’s not just from LJ to learn about this.

Just fooling around is just as important.

Or stare at the local cats. Mr. Smith. Only blondes.

After such a walk, you need to eat. There is a proven, recognized place. We often meet Krasnodar friends there.
This is "Tavern". We leave Goryachiy and drive towards Krasnodar. We drive a few kilometers away from the city and see her on the opposite side of the highway.

There is a rush in the parking lot, as usual on weekends.

They have a lot of delicious things here. If this is your first time, try pea soup in bread. Only as soon as they brought it. Otherwise, the entire soup will quickly be absorbed into the loaf of black bread in which it is, in fact, placed. This is such fun. Or indulge in fishing. If you still have strength left after the walk.

Let me clarify again. This post contains only my own experience. Please do not consider mentions of hotels and eating establishments as advertising.
Go for a walk. Hot Key is good now.

Healing Park and Mineral Glade in Goryachy Klyuch

Healing Park and Mineral Glade in Goryachy Klyuch

The city of Goryachy Klyuch is famous for its mineral waters with healing properties.
The healing park in the city of Goryachiy Klyuch was created in 1870, six years after the founding of the resort.
The park has wide shady alleys along which vacationers walk, enjoying the clean air of the resort. More than 100 species of plants from different countries of the world are collected in the park. The boundaries in the Healing Park are not marked; it seems to merge with the forest and wild nature.
The park's alleys and paths lead to various attractions.
The main one is Mineral Glade. It was here that mineral waters came to the surface. People dug holes that were filled with healing water and were treated for many diseases.
Subsequently, the clearing was landscaped. Wells were drilled, from which mineral water was sent through pipes to the hydropathic clinic, the drinking gallery to the pump rooms.
The mineral glade is located at the foot of the Abadzin Mountain, main mountain Goryachy Klyuch near Dante's Gorge.
Dante's Gorge was named because the place was quite gloomy. Hydrogen sulfide vapors from mineral waters that came to the surface caused poisoning and hallucinations. Overgrowth and marshy soil completed the picture. The narrow gorge, 15 meters deep, looked like a gateway to hell. Today this place has been ennobled, Dante’s staircase has been built into the gorge.
There is a Memorial Pillar in the Healing Park. The pillar stands at the intersection of three alleys - Alley of a Thousand Pines, Quiet Alley and Embankment Alley. The alleys are a great place for walking.
A chapel was built in Mineralnaya Polyana in honor of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God. The chapel is carved right into the rock.
There are many other attractions in the Goryachiy Klyuch Healing Park.
