From soldeu to pas de la casa. Open left menu Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig. Entertainment and attractions

Two villages, Pas de La Cassa and Grau Roj, are part of the united region of Grandvalira.
These are the two highest resorts in the zone - the highest village of Grau Roj is located at an altitude of 2120 m.
Pas de La Casa (or Pas for short) is one of the great ski resorts in Andorra. This lively resort is located just a few hundred meters from the French border in the Encamp region. The resort is located at an altitude of 2050m and has the highest cable car, which rises to a height of 2640m. Thanks to its wonderful location, Pas offers excellent snow cover, clear blue skies and plenty of sun.

The lift system starts in Pas and extends to three neighboring valleys. The farthest valley from Pas is in the attractive wooded area of Grau Roche. This is a mini resort that guests can visit only during the day.

The local slopes are in a high, open area. Near Grau Roj is Mont Malus, a small wooded area with several red and black runs.
Both beginners and more experienced skiers will enjoy it here. There are two beginner ski areas and plenty of gentle slopes to learn from. The ski school has an excellent reputation, the trainers speak different languages.

Night skiing on illuminated slopes takes place every Wednesday evening at Font Negre.
Skiing here will not disappoint you, and Andorra will remain in your memory for a long time.

Skiing - I really wanted more.
2. I have long wanted to buy myself a decent watch.
As they say, two in one. Andorra was ideal for such a trip. They promised snow and a tax-free zone for shopping. I knew exactly where I wanted to go, since my beloved girl, Lena, had already been to Andorra before... The place is called Grau Roig. Nearby is the town of Pas de la Casa. All attempts to book through and no room at the hotel "Grau Roig" 4star. came to nothing. This hotel is located right on the mountainside, 10 minutes drive from the city, and was ideal for us with its remoteness and tranquility. Out of desperation, we bought the first tour we came across at Pas de la Casa. Week - hotel "REFUGI DEL ISARD" 3 stars. with breakfast and dinner - flight on a regular Aeroflot flight to Barcelona (flight 297), all together for $1,100 for two. The cheapest class A car was also ordered; for 8 days it cost about $240.

In Sh-2 everything went well, the plane was not delayed for a minute. The flight is a little over 4 hours. IL-86. With my height of 189 cm, the flight was not easy for me. Still, there is a huge difference between Il86 and Il96. On the 96th I easily endured 10 hours from Thailand. We arrive in Barcelona - the temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius. Tender sun, I don’t want to go to any mountains anymore... I’m met by a representative of the Olympia rental office.

He warns you to be careful with things - they steal in a terrible way. They give out a car - a 2001 Opel Corsa with a mileage of 31,000 km plus magnetic holders for skis on the roof. How to return the car? When you arrive at the airport, park it in the parking lot before departure and lock the keys in the trunk.

Bureaucratic procedures are kept to a minimum. He gives you a map, shows you how to go to Andorra, within 10 minutes he writes out the documents, and they take a quick look at your license. That's it, let's go. There are two roads from Barcelona to Andorra. One is paid, the other is free. Let's go along the toll road. About 12 euros, but a completely free, chic autobahn almost all the way to Andorra. In Andorra the road is more difficult, after all there are mountains. Pas de la Casa is located on the very border with France, 32 km from the capital of Andorra, Andorra la Vella. There are a lot of French cars, cars with French license plates. You need to find a parking place. But in the evening it’s easier; the French go home. We arrived, the journey took about two and a half hours, with a snack...

Looks normal. The room they gave me was very small and somewhat miserable. Shower, hole in the floor and curtain. In general, tired and angry, we decided to wash up and go look for another hotel. Namely, go to the Grau Roig hotel. At the reception we said that the room was terrible, but they very kindly promised us that the next day in the morning they would give us best number In a hotel. For those who will ever be brought to this hotel, remember: you cannot take rooms 212 and 213, you can take 219, 220 and 114. We decided to wait until the morning. And we went to explore the town. It is small, right in the center there is the Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig ski lift station.

There are also ski rentals, restaurants, and shops. The next day, they actually changed our room to a quite decent one. But I still can’t recommend this hotel, the food is lousy, the breakfast is still so-so, and the dinner is a total bummer. Drinks are not included and it feels like they are trying to pay off the entire nauseating dinner at the price of drinks. In general, we had dinner at the hotel for the first and only time. In restaurants you can have a pretty decent dinner for 30 euros for two. Ski rentals. I took my own boots, and we rented skis. Mostly, the offices have cheap models, but for a little extra money they gave us quite decent Rossignel carvings, last year’s models, plus after skiing, every day we brought them back to the rental (it’s next to the ski lift), so as not to drag them to the hotel, and changed them there boots and walked lightly to the hotel.

Ski rental for 4 days cost the two of us 160 euros, taking into account that I had my own boots. Ski pass for 4 days 158 euros for two. The mountains are perfectly prepared. Lots of snow. At the top the temperature is about -5, at the bottom about 0. There are many lifts, all chairlifts, a great variety of slopes. For every day of skiing we had new route. You can plan it so that the routes do not repeat at all. People are average skiers, but there are no obvious dummies on the red and black slopes. There are very few people on the black slopes, practically none, and you can ride in splendid isolation. In this regard, the black slopes remain tough even at the end of the day (the lifts turn off at 16-00). The red ones have already been killed since lunch, the snow has been pulled into the snowdrifts...

In the morning they were well spent again. So we rode from early morning until lunch, and after lunch we went snowmobiling. They are available for rent right at the pass. On both sides of the road there are snowmobile trails and there are several snowmobiles for rent. Rental costs 20 euros for 20 minutes on one track, 18 euros 15 minutes on the second. It’s better to take it where it’s more expensive, where the track is better and the snowmobiles aren’t as bad. No documents are needed. Snowmobiles, of course, are stifled, but you can still frolic... Much remains about skiing good impression. Very good, long trails. They are well looked after, prepared... Well-organized lifts, with one ski pass you can use any lift in the Pas de la Casa-Grau Roig area. Prices are, of course, higher than in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, but the quality of service and variety are worth it.

Shopping.

It's better to go to Andorra la Vella. There are many shops there and prices are lower. Watch. Of course, it’s not a complete freebie. But the cost turns out to be about 10 percent lower than if you buy in Germany or the Czech Republic, and then charge tax-free at the border. You can and should bargain. Really cheap good cosmetics and perfumes. In perfume stores they immediately give a 10 percent discount.

During our four days on the mountain, we had so much fun that our legs were shaking just at the mention of skiing. We decided that this year was enough. Yes, I already wanted the sun. We'll come back next year and we'll finish the ride. Let's just go to the Grau Roig hotel. We finally got there and had a nice conversation with the concierge. The hotel looks very decent. You can view it here - www.hotelgrauroig.com. There is also a booking function. And now we wanted to visit Barcelona, Figueros, where the Salvador Dali Museum is, and bask in the sun somewhere on the coast. There was exactly two days left. Due to lack of time and fear huge city with what is said to be a mad movement, Barcelona was crossed off the list and left for another time. Route - to Figueros through France, visiting the museum, then to Lloret de Mar, breathing sea air, relax and then go to the airport.

The road across France passes through the mountains and is quite tiring, but you can see old villages from ancient towers and in general it’s very beautiful, but you can’t reach a speed of more than 60 km per hour... After moving to Spain, a decent road begins. As a result, three hours after the morning departure we were in Figueres. It’s immediately obvious that people here are very proud of Salvador Dali and his museum. There are signs everywhere - the Dali Museum. You won't get lost. Its full name is the Salvador Dali Theater-Museum. He made a complex impression. It was somehow difficult to visit him. It feels like I spent two hours in a crypt or morgue. Somehow it’s all pathological-anatomical, or something... But it’s probably worth a visit once... I liked the sculpture with the old Cadillac. If someone is there, there is a coin acceptor near the right front wheel of the Cadillac, throw 1 euro in there, see what happens...

Apart from visiting the Museum, there is nothing else to do in Figueros. The toll highway took us to Lloret de Mar in about forty minutes.

Considering that mid-March is not yet the season for summer resort, we decided to take a responsible approach to choosing a hotel and room. Take only the best. But it turned out that most hotels are simply closed during the off-season. However, we found a room that suited us completely at the 3 star Marsol Hotel. A minisuite with a sea view, a large bed and breakfast for two days cost us about 170 euros. I really liked the suite (room 501). Very spacious. Decent plumbing. The bed is located so that when you wake up in the morning you can look at the sea, very beautiful. On the coast during the day the temperature reached 20 degrees Celsius. The wind from the sea is still cold, of course, and the sea too... But it’s nice to walk along the shore. The sand is coarse, dark, not even sand, but small pebbles. After the islands of Thailand, of course, it doesn’t make any impression. In season, of course. There are crowds of tourists in Lloret de Mar, and in the off-season it is a fairly quiet, calm town. Many hotels, restaurants, shops are closed. There are vacationers. Most are elderly German-French couples, strolling along the promenade or sunbathing (!!!, March) near the cold sea. There are also groups of German youth, especially in the evening, near discos. But it feels like it’s the off-season and there aren’t many vacationers. Working bars and restaurants, empty. They treat you as their ONLY client, which is very pleasant... It was exactly the kind of relaxation that was gentle for us after skiing. We had a great two days. We walked, ate, breathed air, and played slot machines in the evening. In Lloret de Mar, as in any tourist town, there are many entertainment centers, discos, etc. But we would never go there during the season, I can imagine what a crowd of vacationers there is in the summer... Brrr. But in the off-season it turned out very nicely... There was an interesting moment. In the evening we parked the car on the road opposite the hotel. In the morning, waking up from the balcony, we see that our Corsa is not there. Some builders are swarming around in its place. Let's go look. Found in a parking lot 50 meters from the original location. Neatly parked. In general, in a week we drove our Spit, with the emphasis on the “o”, as Lenka called it, 1000 km. During this time she ate a little more than 50 liters of gasoline. I kept wanting to see what kind of engine it was, but I did it only on the last day. It turned out to be a three-cylinder, apparently 1 liter. After our Opel accelerated to 170 km/h on the autobahn from Lloret to Barcelona, it received the nickname Opel Scythe Turbo 1.0. In general, I liked the machine. Very comfortable, obedient, maneuverable. Even at high speeds, it is surprisingly comfortable. Handling is like a go-kart, precise. In the mountains, of course, the motor was not enough, but not fatally. With my height, I felt surprisingly comfortable in it. Large range of longitudinal seat adjustment. I didn’t think that I would ever like Opel.

We had heard about the constant delays of planes from Barcelona, but surprisingly our scheduled flight took off on time. So fly regular flights Aeroflot. By the way, the food on Aeroflot flights has become decent. The chicken was even very tasty. After 4 hours of flight, we were in Sh-2, where, as usual, there are no carts, taxi drivers are charging high prices. Scoop.

The next year we decided to go at the same time, but for two weeks. A week to ride, a week to the coast. I really liked it.
