Beach holiday eilat. Eilat: beaches, weather, recreation, reviews. The majesty of local nature

All beaches have the same “address” - the Gulf of Aqaba on the Red Sea coast, a landmass 12 km long. However, the variety of beaches is such that everyone will find the “best” for themselves. Locals divide the coast into 2 zones: northern beaches or pebble-sand beaches and southern ones - coral. On all beaches the depth begins almost immediately, the water is very clean and transparent, through which you can see sea world. There are no temperature changes here, and nothing disturbs the marine life.

The entire tourist area is located on the northern shore, there are no corals and few fish. Some first-line hotels have their own civilized beach, but there are few of them.

Dear tourists. Book excursions with my participation, you will have a wonderful time, I guarantee it!!! I tell a lot, interestingly, and in human language:)

Beaches you need to visit

To complete the experience, it is advisable to visit 3 beaches.

Migdalor– the best place to look at corals. It is advisable to take aqua shoes or coral slippers with you. The bottom of the beach is rocky, sea urchins live, and without slippers you won’t be able to get closer to the coral thickets. There are free umbrellas and a bar on the shore, which is closed on weekends. There is a shower, toilet, changing rooms, and you can rent a trailer.

Entering the sea is allowed only in places marked with ropes. You cannot take a piece of coral - you will be fined. Easily accessible from the center of Eilat by bus 15 or by taxi.

Dolphin Reef– Tamed dolphins live in their own environment. Divided into 2 zones: for people and dolphins. You can swim in the “human” area, and watch the dolphins from the pier from three observation platforms. For a fee you can try diving with dolphins.

For an additional fee there are 3 swimming pools surrounded by greenery - with fresh, sweet or salt water. Peacocks walk along the shore, and there is an excellent self-service restaurant.

How to get there: from Eilat buses 15 and 16, from Ovda airport - 282 or by taxi. It's better to arrive in the morning to grab a seat.

Hof Hashemesh– for lovers of “wild” recreation. This is a place of solitude with nature. There are few people on weekdays; locals come here on holidays. Among the benefits of civilization, there is a kiosk with drinks and a shower, but you can barbecue and set up a tent. Locals sometimes fish here. There is sand and pebbles underfoot, and there is primeval silence all around.
Part of the beach is separated by a fence for believers. You can only get there by car or taxi.

Israelis are sensitive to their homeland and protect nature. On all beaches, except the wild one, you cannot touch fish and corals with your hands in order to preserve them for future generations. You should not enter the water after sunset.

It must be said right away that Eilat has become so popular all over the world precisely thanks to the Red Sea coast. The northern coral reef with a great variety of inhabitants attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. Multi-colored coral reefs stretch along the very shore. And near the corals there are myriads of fish fancy shapes and incredibly bright colors. It is believed that this is where the most favorable conditions for diving in the Northern Hemisphere are. But it is quite possible to swim without scuba gear with the most ordinary mask - the reef is located right next to the shore. But the main condition is to fulfill the motto that everyone in our country knows: “Take care of your mother’s nature!” - that is, do not touch anything that you really want to touch. And not only because the reef, thanks to tourists breaking out pieces for “good and blessed memory,” is being destroyed at a catastrophic rate. And also because there is too much poison in the Red Sea, so much so that touching it can cause serious health problems.

So, if someone wants to dive for fun, then the Mediterranean coast of Eilat is just the place.

But for those who just like to sunbathe and soak up the hot sun, there is no less space here. The fact is that these beaches stretch over 12 kilometers, divided into northern and southern parts.

The southernmost beach “Princess Eilat”, which is located in the most southern point Israel, from it the zone of southern beaches stretches to Kisuski Sports Beach. This area is also called the coral beach.

The most popular of them is Migdalor Beach - very cozy, with free chairs and sunbeds. The reef in this place is located very close to the shore, the bottom is rocky, so the water remains clean at all times. There is a very good bar right on the beach. But we must warn you that in those places where the coral reef is very close to the shore, it is better to enter the water in slippers - bare feet can easily be injured.

Money, money, rubbish

Speaking of expenses. Absolutely all Eilat beaches are completely free, you will only have to pay if you need a sunbed or sun lounger (although in some places on Migdalor beach they will be free), you will have to pay a very small amount (about 15-20) shekels for their rental. And you can own it for at least the whole day, before the beach is considered closed, that is, until five o’clock in the evening. Then you will have to lie down on a towel.

Beaches of the north of Eilat

By the way, if Coral Beach this is quite inconvenient, but in the part called the northern beach, it will not bring much discomfort, since the beaches there are pebble and sandy beaches.

North Beach, ending at the border with Jordan, is an ideal place for sunbathing, water activities and swimming in the sea. The bay water temperature here is usually 20°-26C, and the air temperature even at winter period never falls below 20°C. This area contains the beaches of numerous hotels. But they, like all other beaches in the city, are free and open to anyone.

Excellently developed here tourism infrastructure, you can get any entertainment inherent seaside resort: many bars and restaurants, discos, nightclubs and beach parties. And if you want to see something other than the beaches themselves, you can go to the “Dolphin Reef” - a place natural habitat dolphins, to the Coral World aquarium. Or you can even go on a trip through the desert, and you will choose the transport at your discretion: mountain bikes, ATVs, jeeps or camels.

And finally, one more pleasant detail. Eilat is a free trade zone, so prices are lower here, and many Israeli companies offer cosmetics, fashionable clothes, jewelry and souvenirs made from Eilat stone.

The Eilat Red Sea coast is probably what made Eilat so popular all over the world. As Yves Cousteau said, and this is a man who knew a lot about the seas and whose opinion you can trust, the Red Sea is the most beautiful on the planet. Hundreds of thousands of tourists come to Eilat every year to admire the beauty of the northernmost coral reef and its inhabitants. The Red Sea is home to about a thousand species of fish, including unique ones, and about 150 species of corals grow. Multi-colored coral reefs stretch along the very shore. Near them are myriads of fish, unimaginably bright colors and bizarre shapes. It is believed that there are no more favorable conditions for diving in the Northern Hemisphere. But even with a regular mask, swimming over coral gardens is extremely interesting, because... the reef comes right to the shore.

The most important thing is not to forget that nothing Don't touch with your hands or feet, primarily because all this needs to be preserved for the next generations, and the reef is dying out from year to year at a catastrophic rate and mainly because of careless tourists who break out the corals wanting to take away a piece of the Red Sea, Eilat, memories of a wonderful vacation, etc. such sentimental nonsense, but also because almost everything in the Red Sea poisonous and big health problems may arise, but this is of course nonsense...

So - if you decide to dive, soak up the hot Eilat sun or just breathe sea air, then below we will list the beaches in the order in which they are located on the coast, starting from the border with Egypt (the beach of the Princess Hotel) - the southernmost point of Israel and ending with the beach of Hof Mifratz HaShemesh, which is adjacent to the border with Jordan.

The entire Red Sea coast of the Gulf of Eilat occupies only 12 km. and it can be divided into two parts: the southern one - from the beach of the Princess Eilat hotel to the Kisuski Sports beach (by the way HOF in Hebrew, it means beach) along which, in fact, the reef stretches and the shore here is mostly rocky. For diving you need to go to one of these beaches, and the northern shore, which is located within the city. On this stretch there are hotel beaches, the beaches, by the way, are all open and free, but if you want to relax more comfortably, you can buy a sun lounger at any of them for a very reasonable price - 15 - 20 shekels and own it until the beach “closes” i.e. hours until 5 pm, after which it will be kindly taken away by a beach worker and you will have to lie down on a towel directly on the sand, fortunately the beaches in this part of the coast are sandy, but you won’t find corals or living creatures here either. But here you will find a great variety of restaurants, hotels and attractions, of which our city is rich.

So - everyone to the beach. The main thing is not to shit. Take care of nature - your mother!!!
