Entertainment in Alushta for children. An unforgettable vacation with children in Alushta. When is the season? When is the best time to go

Popular with tourists. The area includes not only the city itself, but also nearby seaside villages - Bolshaya Alushta stretches from Rybachy and Privetny to Utes and Partenit. Once upon a time, the Genoese landed in these places from the Black Sea and built a fortress called Aluston - hence the name of the city.

Features of the resort: unique climate. The borders of the region are “guarded” by the mountains Demerdzhi, Chatyr-Dag and once active volcano Castel. Air currents move freely between them, so the city is quite windy.

Thanks to this feature, the heat is not particularly felt even at the peak of summer; there is always fresh air here, which you can breathe well.

Another highlight of the resort is that it is considered the center of viticulture; berry plantations cover kilometers of coastal areas.

Alushta fell in love with travelers for its inexpensive, but great holiday. Elderly people, young people and families with small children find excellent conditions for spending their holidays.

The resort offers sanatorium treatment, noisy entertainment in the city center - youth discos, nightclubs, karaoke, as well as peace and tranquility that reigns on the outskirts.

Transport accessibility

The city is located 47 km from Simferopol, whose airport receives dozens of flights from all over Russia and beyond every day. 37 km to Yalta with its attractions, water parks and discos. Transport Card has a developed bus and trolleybus network - you can easily get to any city on the peninsula.

Beaches

Opening swimming season falls at the end of May, towards October coastlines empty - the period of active excursions begins. There are plenty of beaches in the city and its surroundings; they have a gentle slope into the sea. There are almost no bays or bays, however, this is a big plus - the water is crystal clear.

Shores with small and medium pebbles predominate, although there are also sandy beaches, very colorful - covered with dark slate sand.

Large beaches, as well as those adjacent to famous hotels, are equipped with everything necessary, from toilets to changing rooms. Guests are offered to have a lot of fun with a rich selection of aquatic species sports

Entertainment

The entertainment catalog is impressive. It allows you to relax profitably and take amazing photos and videos. While on Tophotels, they definitely recommend checking out one of the famous Alushta cafes – “ Nautical mile"or "Treasure Island". In general, the range of catering establishments is so diverse that both wealthy travelers and thrifty tourists. The chefs offer not only dishes of Russian and Ukrainian cuisines, you can try seafood delicacies and sweet culinary masterpieces.

The careless people in the area of the Professor's Corner become the center of attraction for guests, central market, Krasnoarmeyskaya and Gorky streets. It's always fun here, there are shops, cafes, attractions - a lot of entertainment.

Film lovers will definitely go to the summer cinema. This venue is often chosen by show business stars for their performances. And perhaps the vacation will fall during the colorful festivals - “Songs of the Sea” and “Crimean Dawns”.

Porto Mare 4*

1 of 10

The complex presents itself as a 4-star park hotel and is unlikely to be suitable for budget holidaymakers. Although reviews about it are not clear. On the one hand, the hotel justifies the high cost with good cuisine and rich entertainment program for children. Two mini-clubs are open - one for the little ones, the other for kids who are already 4 years old. On the luxurious territory with a swan lake, trampolines and labyrinths are installed, playgrounds, has its own zoo, whose inhabitants include goats, sheep, noses and birds. The restaurant's menu includes an abundance of meat and fish, and there is a children's table with separate steamed and salt-free dishes. However, guests also point out disadvantages. The rooms are depressingly furnished in poor condition and the cleaning is poor. Advice from guests - it’s better not to stay on the first floor: it’s too noisy, and the rooms have a view of the construction site and the old hotel. The restaurant doesn't care about the cleanliness of the dishes. The work of the receptionist is also given the lowest scores. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the sea through the park; if you are too lazy to walk, an electric car will take you there. The beach is very convenient; in addition to recreational equipment, it offers you to sit in various cafes or look into souvenir shops.

Villa Argo 3*

1 of 8

Villa Argo is one of a trio of hotels built in picturesque village Malorechenskoe. It’s simply wonderful to relax here with small children. You are greeted by attentive staff who can solve any problem in an instant. 36 rooms, designed in a calm European style, are equipped with new furniture (beds for infants are provided upon request). In the bathrooms there are shampoos, gels, a hairdryer, a shower or a full bath - it all depends on the room. The cozy restaurant, decorated in a marine theme, serves breakfast and offers lunch and dinner for an additional fee. Another option is to eat at a cafe next door, there are many of them here. The hotel is proud of one of the best spa centers on the coast. In the courtyard the mirror of a large swimming pool shines with convenient descent for young guests. Wonderful animation does not let the kids get bored, they are busy until the evening, and before bed there is a cartoon show. There is not much to do outside the villa - the village is small. The only entertainment options are a market, a park, a church and a museum of water disasters.

Santa Barbara 3*

1 of 7

Beautiful paradise called Utes (20 km from Alushta) invites you to spend an unforgettable vacation in 2019. The family hotel has only 25 rooms - large, with modern design and decent equipment. The premises are well maintained and clean, maids change towels daily. The cafe's outdoor terrace allows you to enjoy your meal in the fresh air; there is also a cozy indoor room. The chefs cook with soul, even sophisticated gourmets will enjoy it. The infrastructure includes an Internet cafe and a sauna, and a modest playroom for children. At the reception you can rent bicycles, you can buy tickets for boat trip under the sail of a yacht. For an additional dose of entertainment, welcome to the neighboring boarding house “Utes”; entrance is paid. There are two beaches to choose from. The neighboring hotel considers it its own, but it is very cramped. Those who love space visit the public beach located nearby. By the way, a walk to the shore is a separate pleasure: through narrow beautiful streets reminiscent of Greek ones.

Resort Hotel Demerdzhi 3*

1 of 10

The hotel complements the hotel chain in the heart of the resort town. On vacation in 2019, you won’t have to rack your brains about what to do. IN walking distance grocery stores, pharmacies, fruit stands and entertainment delights. But it’s also a lot of fun inside the complex. It’s especially fun for kids – the days are filled with creative activities, competitions, and evening discos. In a small mini-club, children have fun in the company of peers - there is no teacher. The highlight of the place is the beautiful grounds with a swimming pool and an artificial pond in which colorful fish swim. The hotel offers an all-inclusive system, but the cuisine is not very diverse. But there is a children's menu and the opportunity to take away dishes - in case the baby gets hungry “out of hours”. The rooms are old, with shabby wallpaper and stains on the carpet, however, for 3-star status, the shortcomings are forgivable. Parents note the availability of cots for infants.

Alpine Valley 3*

1 of 8

Tourists are happy to come to this hotel with children: the restaurant offers high chairs, offers babysitting services, the rooms have comfortable cribs, and there is a mini-club on site. The three-star complex opened in the village of Malorechensky only four years ago, but has already managed to win the love of travelers. It looks like a picturesque village in the Alps, which is why it got its name. The rooms are in excellent condition, decorated in eco-style - a lot of wood was used in the decoration. There is a TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, but no hairdryer or kettle. However, these household items will be given out to the reception without any problems. For breakfast there are several types of juice, and milk is wonderfully presented - fermented baked milk, yoghurts, kefir. Guests like the variety of fruits: you can enjoy ripe watermelons, melons, grapes, peaches to your heart's content... The hotel shares the entertainment infrastructure with the Argo and Camelot hotels - admission is free on their territory. There are swimming pools, children's and sports grounds. The complex is on the 2nd line of the sea, the journey there and back takes at least 20 minutes.

Water park 3*

1 of 7

Those who travel to the peninsula with restless children who are past infancy should book the Aquapark hotel in one of the most popular areas - Professor's Corner. The name speaks for itself - it has a cool complex with water slides, warm mini-pool and jacuzzi. The water park offers a magnificent view of the embankment and the sea. The entertainment program is complemented only by evening watching of cartoons in the lobby; a complex of Roman and Finnish baths is open for adults. The peculiarity of the number of rooms is that all rooms have windows overlooking the sea. The rooms are huge, even the standard ones are spacious. The bathroom is very convenient in that the bathroom is separated from the toilet by a blind door, which is rare to see. In addition to the air conditioning system, heating is provided, so it is comfortable to relax here even in winter. Every little detail is in place: dishes, a set of towels, personal hygiene kits, and a hairdryer are provided. Breakfasts are excellent – Buffet with an abundance of cold and hot snacks. The restaurant has a play corner for younger guests. You can have breakfast and dinner in economy format in nearby cafes - the hotel is expensive. The beach with a good entrance to the sea is right across the road, security is monitored by security guards, and you can’t get through without a pass.

If you search the Internet for information about what to see in Alushta, you will probably notice this point: all guidebooks will recommend you places located in the vicinity of Alushta, but not in the city itself.

Well, for example, Jur-Jur waterfall , which is a 40-minute drive from Alushta. Or the same mountain that we visited on the way to Alushta (yes, Alushta can be seen from the mountain, and the mountain from Alushta too, but it’s 15 km and the same 30 minutes drive).

So, on our voyage across the Crimea last year, we didn’t even stop by Alushta - we decided that there was nothing interesting in it.

But this time we still became interested - are there really no more or less interesting sights in Alushta itself? It was with this question that we turned off the Yalta Highway onto Gorky Street in Alushta and drove towards the embankment.

First impressions of Alushta

You know what they say: you never get a second chance to make a first impression. So, we drove along the streets of Alushta, looked around and exchanged first impressions. And it was fashionable to express them in one phrase: somehow not very...

Not very elegant. Not very resort-like. Doesn't catch on. Doesn't light up. I beg the residents and fans of this town not to be offended by me now, but still, everything I saw outside the car window reeked of incorrigible provincialism.

Having reached the beginning of the pedestrian zone, we begin to look for a parking space. We were lucky - one of the cars parked along the side of the road just started to drive away. We quickly squeezed into her place. Taking with us only a camera and a camera, we go to explore the surroundings.

Alushta embankment

It is customary to start exploring any seaside resort town from the embankment. The Alushta embankment greets us with such a sea horse.

But, having made a “knight’s move” at the beginning, for the next few hundred meters the Alushta embankment was mired in such shopping stalls and other attributes of the era of underdeveloped capitalism. I walk and think: it’s good that Sochi decided to demolish all this tripe - at least the sea became visible while walking along the embankment!

I'm looking for the beach. And I don’t see it. I see only a concrete embankment, and not too clean. Moreover, with some not quite sober homeless-looking comrades... And it’s only 5 o’clock in the evening - the beginning of the evening promenade... I’m afraid to even take a photo of these individuals, or else they’ll catch up and beat me up.

Unsure of our intentions, we move further along the embankment. The eye is looking for some kind of beauty to cling to. Ok, here's something more or less picturesque:

The so-called Rotunda appeared in the distance. It is a six-column structure with flags placed during the holiday season. Why it is called a rotunda is not clear to me.

Well, okay, a rotunda is a rotunda, we take a photo for memory and move on.

Next to the Rotunda is the entrance to the park and water park. We are not interested in the water park as a type of attraction. And we go to the park with interest - at least to see something beautiful.

We walk along a nice alley and come across this building - either a Chinese restaurant, or a Crimean McDonald's.

And here the feeling of hunger makes us forget about sightseeing in Alushta! Of course, after today’s walk to Mount Demerdzhi we have no problems with appetite. Entering this “Chinese pagoda”, I imagine at least a Peking duck... We go inside: an ordinary bistro. You put the plates with the dishes you like on the tray and go to the cashier to pay. While we are standing in line at the checkout, I take videos of the dishes and prices. And I hear right above my ear: “Girl, filming here is prohibited!”

Come on!?! I’m not Elena Letuchaya from the “Revizorro” program, guys! Anyway, don’t film here with a video camera, they admonish me. Ok, we don’t need problems, we would like to eat as soon as possible... But all this is somehow strange. It’s a tourist place after all, crowds of people are scurrying around with photo and video equipment, what’s secret about that? Nevermind.

But the food itself in Alushta turned out to be good. Even more. And the cafe turned out to be cozy, with a nice green courtyard. So our spoiled first impressions of Alushta are beginning to smooth out a little.

Sights of Alushta that we did not see

We sit, drink coffee after a hearty snack, and read guides to Alushta. For inspection in Alushta itself, the following list of objects is offered:

Aluston Fortress

The ruins of the Aluston fortress are the only historical landmark within the city. Fortresses dating back as far as 16 centuries! It was erected in the 6th century at the direction of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I, and subsequently saved it from raids more than once. But in the 10th century the fortress fell under the onslaught of the Pechenegs. It was later restored by the Genoese, who made it even more impregnable. It finally ceased to exist in the 15th century during the invasion of the Turks.

Unfortunately, today almost nothing has survived from the fortress. You can only see one tower, and part of the wall, which became part of residential buildings and courtyards. The fortress is located among the narrow nooks and crannies of the private sector, and, apparently, over many centuries, the stones that made up the fortress formed the basis of many local houses and courtyards. Objectively speaking, before visiting the ruins you should prepare yourself for disappointment

Great. Let’s skip the fortress - after the Genoese fortress in Feodosia (read) I don’t want another disappointment.

Alushta Museum of History and Local Lore

The first place of all attractions that is worth visiting for curious tourists in Alushta. Moreover, it is located next to the embankment, making it very easy to find. The exhibition tells about the history of the city, from ancient times to the present. Among the exhibits are many archaeological artifacts, models, documents, photographs, there is a separate exhibition about modern Alushta. The building itself is also an architectural landmark.

Well, well, we can see the museum, we decide. But we’re immediately blown away: the museum’s opening hours are from 10:00 to 18:00. And the time on the clock is 18:10. Overall a bummer.

Shmelev House-Museum

This is the only museum dedicated to the famous writer I.S. Shmelev, who lived in Alushta from 1918 to 1922. The house itself was built by the famous architect A.N. Beketov. The small building is surrounded by greenery, with a work and living environment recreated inside. The exhibition tells about the writer’s work and life, the period of emigration.

Reviews about the museum are different. But in general, this museum is not for a wide range of visitors; it will mainly be of interest to those who are interested in Shmelev’s work. We are clearly not one of them. Well, the opening hours are also until 18:00.

Beketov House-Museum

The house-museum of the architect and academician A.N. Beketov was built by Beketov himself in 1896. The building was built in the Moorish style and is an architectural landmark, but it can be viewed not only from the outside. The museum has a permanent exhibition dedicated to the life of the architect; more than a thousand exhibits are presented.

Opening hours until 18:00. Yes, somehow we really have no luck with sightseeing in Alushta... So let’s look further through the guidebooks.

Dolphinarium, aquarium - after Sochi you won’t surprise us with this...

Park "Crimea in miniature"

So, this is something more interesting! Reading reviews:

In this park you can see miniature copies of attractions from all over the peninsula. In total there are about 40 copies, including palaces, castles, churches, museums. In the evening, the exhibits are illuminated very beautifully, so that in photographs taken from the right angle, the exhibits are practically indistinguishable from the real ones. You can photograph anything here without restrictions. The only thing bad about this place is that it's pretty high price, clearly not meeting expectations from visiting the park

500 rubles (from 12 years old) and 300 rubles (up to 12 years old)... Well, after Sochi prices, it’s not terrible... But for this money, it’s really better to go on an excursion to one of the real palaces of Crimea and see the gorgeous interiors, rather than “look for a good angle so that it is indistinguishable from the real thing”... At least there is history in the palace. Our glorious Russian History.

Zoo

At the Alushta Zoo in spacious enclosures and pens under open air deer, rabbits, squirrels, foxes, wild boars, mouflons and other animals are kept. There are beautiful peacocks and a pond with swans. Some of the animals can be fed, which makes children absolutely delighted. There are several gazebos on the territory. There is also a natural museum containing more than 1,600 exhibits: samples of herbs, flowers, trees, rocks, stuffed animals, birds, snakes, eight dioramas.

Judging by good reviews, it’s worth going to the zoo, especially if you come to Alushta with children. The animals there are very cute, judging by the photos, and the area is beautiful and large. But we have Mount Demerdzhi behind us, and climbing it makes itself felt - our legs are buzzing... And we planned to see the zoo in Yalta, which is called the pearl of Crimea.

Actually, we now have to get to Yalta - that’s where we’ll be staying in a hotel for the next few days

With lazy steps we set out on the way back to the car. And let’s summarize what we saw.

Our summary of Alushta

In general, it turns out that Alushta does not have any significant attractions for which it is worth going here. Yes, there are several museums for everyone. The situation is somewhat better with entertainment for tourists with children: you can visit a dolphinarium, a miniature park, an aquarium and a zoo, and a multi-park. All this can really be seen in one day.

But in the suburbs outside the city there are some really worth visiting places. This and mountain range Demerdzhi + the valley of ghosts, and the Jur-Jur waterfall, and stone “mushrooms” in the valley of the Sotera River. In general, look carefully at this photo and choose the excursions you like:

All these places can be visited on your own, and you can get to them by local public transport.

And while we walked to where our car was parked, we continued to photograph its streets in the rays of the setting sun. Overall, we can say it's cute resort town ok, not deprived, like everyone else Crimean cities, signs of a glorious socialist past.

By the way, here is one of these very signs - a city trolleybus. Look how handsome he is! And how this colorful blonde driver famously handles it:

But we met such a character already on the way to the parking lot.

In general, if you look closely, you can find its own tourist highlight in Alushta.

And the beautiful Yalta was waiting for us, about which my next article will be. Subscribe to our new posts here.
