Be sure to visit the Batumi Water Park. Adults and older children will get a dose of adrenaline by riding extreme rides, and for kids there is a special pool and small slides. The ticket price (40 GEL) includes rides, sun loungers, umbrellas and mattresses.

Weather

The climate of Batumi is soft, warm and humid, close to subtropical. In winter there is practically no snow here (it is replaced by frequent heavy showers), negative temperatures are also very rare for these places.

Autumn is quite warm, but rainy. In spring, the city, on the contrary, is dry and cool. The off-season lasts only a couple of months, then it is replaced by a long and hot summer. For a holiday, it is better to choose the end of May - the beginning of June or September, since during this period there is no intense heat, and the sea is already quite warm. Waterfall Makhuntseti

About an hour on the Batumi-Keda minibus and here it is Adjarian nature, which is not very visible from the city beaches - a 20-meter waterfall that fills the Adzharistskali River with the purest mountain water. I still recommend getting there by car or renting a taxi, possibly with a local guide, or a minibus - as a last resort and very budget option.

Five minutes from the waterfall there is a unique arched Makhuntseti stone bridge, don’t forget about it - it’s beautiful and fits very organically into the natural landscape.

On the way to the waterfall there is a famous Adzharistskhali wine house, this place is mainly taken to tourists who have bought excursion to the waterfall in city agencies.

Racha

A mountainous region that can be visited if you have enough time. The journey from Batumi with return will take two days, with an overnight stay. For the trip you need a jeep, which you can rent from one of the agencies, or buy a ready-made tour. Rachu Locals call it Georgian Switzerland - in addition to nature, there is an ancient monastery and caves. The place is located very close to the town of Oni.

Food. Where to buy groceries in Batumi

Near Tbilisi square there are market streets where you can buy everything - vegetables, fruits, pita bread, cheese, etc. Prices for local products are lower than in Kyiv. There is also a Goodwill supermarket near Tbilisi Square - it has everything, the prices are the same as in Kyiv, it is open around the clock. It is better to buy only wine in the supermarket; I recommend rose Saperavi and Kindzmarauli if you like sweet wines.
