Bali resorts description with map. Bali resorts: where is better. Magnificent Nusa Dua – Balinese luxury hotel

Bali's resorts and their range constitute another feature of the island. In our blog we have already described the key ones, and also talked about amazing beauty Indian Ocean and adjacent to it. However, travelers are concerned not only with the most unusual and interesting places(which are generously scattered throughout Bali), but also about where it is worth settling and spending most of your well-deserved vacation. Everyone goes to Bali with their own goal - some want to spend their time as calmly as possible, hearing nothing but silence, some are attracted by night parties until the morning, and for others the most important thing is all inclusive and good service. Here we will tell you about the resorts of Bali and their main features, so that everyone who comes here can find a place that is right for them.

Bali resorts: the most famous places on the island

Kuta

The resorts of Bali are unique in their diversity, and Kuta is undoubtedly the most important and busiest tourist town. It is here that on every corner you will be offered massages, manicures, flyers for upcoming parties, sarongs, transport and everything that, as it seems to the sellers, any traveler arriving on the island needs. In Kuta, the number of shops per square meter exceeds all imaginable and unimaginable indicators, and, in general, for a decent shopping experience, those in need will simply need to stroll along Legian - that’s the name of the main street of Kuta. There is also clearly no shortage of all kinds of cafes and warungs; there is a menu here to suit every taste and budget; how much you want to spend on lunch - $10 or $50 - depends entirely on you. In Kuta you will find places with a variety of cuisines from all over the world, ranging from native Russian to Greek, Japanese, Mexican.

Seminyak

In all kinds of descriptions of this Bali resort, the following formulation is most often found: “Seminyak is the same Kuta, only cleaner and more expensive.” There is a fair amount of truth in these words, and the border between these regions is quite arbitrary, because they are located on the same coast. However, in Seminyak you will not suffer from annoying street vendors scurrying back and forth; on the contrary, here you have the opportunity to browse numerous shops and dress up exclusively in one or another boutique of some local or foreign designer (prices for this pleasure are not very they bite, but still, they are clearly above average). Fans of gastronomy will find a restaurant to suit the most sophisticated tastes, but the prices will be slightly different from those in Kutovo. There are many pleasant places scattered along the coast (for example, the Ku de ta club-restaurant), where you can watch the sunset, admire the ocean and listen to a quality lounge while sipping a cocktail. Well, at night nightclubs open their doors, the owners of which, by the way, do not skimp on bringing world celebrities of the electronic scene (for example, in the summer Woo Bar easily allowed themselves to tour Miss Kittin). In general, if you want to spend your vacation fashionably, stylishly, tastefully and sometimes noisily, then Seminyak is the place for you.

Sanur

One of the quietest and most relaxing resorts in Bali, and, concurrently, the very first resort on the island, ideal for those who decide to go on vacation with the whole family. This place, located quite far from the noisy Kuta and Seminyak, is most notable for the fact that here you can almost always swim and swim to your heart’s content, because unlike the southern part of the island, the ocean in Sanur is calm and gentle, which is why people like to come here with children so much . The length of the beach is approximately 5 kilometers, so there is enough space for privacy for everyone. Sanur is also famous for all kinds of water activities: ride a banana boat, go snorkeling or diving, or maybe go on a fishing tour - all this is at your discretion. What is also valuable is that there is a place to take a walk - if in Kuta, for example, pedestrian areas are really bad, and you need to constantly be on guard so as not to bump into a bike right on the sidewalk, then in Sanur there are places where you can calmly walk, taking cover under the shade of trees from the scorching sun. As for nightlife, there is practically none in peaceful Sanur; all kinds of cozy cafes and restaurants are more valued here.

Nusa Dua

This Bali resort is rightfully considered the most “five-star” place on the island. If you want all your wishes to begin to come true with just one flutter of your eyelashes, then Nusa Dua- this is exactly what you need. This resort is a real tourist complex, entirely consisting of countless luxury hotels, ocean and white sand, which you saw in an advertisement for the Bounty chocolate bar. Naturally, Nusa Dua is also one of the most quiet places islands, if only because this resort is located in a protected area. There is not much entertainment in Nusa Dua: in addition to the usual beach holiday (sunbathing and swimming), you can go to one of the many spa centers and spend a good half of the day there, or go to the Galleria shopping center and pamper yourself thoroughly beloved. We definitely recommend visiting Water Blow, most beautiful place, where ocean waves crash against the rocks with enormous force, throwing fountains of spray high into the air. Nusa Dua is ideal for lovers of hotel and beach holidays.

Amed

Another confirmation of our words that Bali resorts will delight anyone. Amed is Bali's diving center. This area is located on the eastern coast of the island, and stretches along the coast for almost 12 kilometers. Tourists go to Amed purposefully - to go snorkeling and diving, and just to swim to their heart's content, since big waves does not happen here, and the water pleases with its pristine purity. By the way, if you are lucky, while swimming in the ocean, you will be able to see a school of dolphins with your own eyes. The main attraction for divers is the once sunken ship, which has now become a place of pilgrimage for all who love diving. As for the infrastructure, it is quite modest here; you won’t find any branded clothing stores here during the day, and there is no talk of noisy beach parties here. But here there is something that Kuta and Seminyak do not have - peace and tranquility. Accommodation in Amed can be found in both the most modest (from 80,000 rupees per day) and more expensive and comfortable ones. Separately, it is worth noting that Amed is very beautiful place, the coast pleases the eye with green slopes and stunning views of.

Canggu

One of the most beautiful and, oddly enough, quiet places in the tourist part of the island, where life flows steadily among multi-stage rice fields and rocky black sand beaches. The infrastructure in Canggu is one of the best on the island, there are especially many cafes and restaurants of all kinds, where delicious food and a calm, pleasant environment await you. Speaking about the resorts of Bali, many believe that it is in Canggu that you can see the real Bali, in general, it is not surprising - quiet villages, leisurely Balinese people, a large number of temples and all kinds of ceremonies, and, of course, why they come here from all over the world - surfing 24/7. Three main spots, Old Mans, Batu Bolong and Echo Beach, await fearless wave conquerors of different levels of riding every day. By the way, it is at this resort that our hospitable hotel is based, which provides you with an excellent opportunity to combine business with pleasure - to live in such a legendary place for its atmosphere as Canggu, and at the same time learn to surf and visit the best spots in Bali in a fun company of like-minded people. We can honestly say that it is better to see Chang once than to hear about him a hundred times, and no matter how detailed we try to describe our favorite place, your impression of the trip will depend entirely on you.

Despite the fact that all the resorts in Bali are scattered around the entire island and it is difficult to travel around them all at once, we are quite capable of showing you the best parts of Bali, which we are sure you will be able to appreciate. Waiting for you!

Bali resorts are so diverse that they can satisfy the needs and desires of absolutely any tourist. The choice of one or the other depends only on internal beliefs, personal preferences and financial capabilities. At the same time, at any time you can change your place or even go on a tour of the most interesting resort towns of Bali, fortunately there is plenty to choose from.

Nusa Dua

When dreaming of a vacation on the coast, you imagine luxurious mansions, rooms in five-star hotels, only the highest level of service, and snow-white beaches and the azure sea. You will find all this and more in Nusa Dua.

This resort area is recognized as the birthplace of tourism and recreation on the island of Bali. Some of the first hotels throughout the country were founded and rebuilt here. Today, the best hotels of only VIP class are concentrated here, offering recreation of the same high level. The entire coast of Nusa Dua is almost a continuous strip of 5-star hotels, the territory of which is quite problematic for those who do not live in a hotel.

The beach area is almost completely divided between hotels, which also helps protect guests from the close attention of others and annoying tourists who cannot afford a luxury vacation. On hotel premises you can often find expensive spas, beauty salons, swimming pools and golf courses, parks and pedestrian areas, recreation areas and chic restaurants. The Nusa Dua resort itself is a well-polished area for those people who are not used to counting money, value comfort and can afford a holiday of absolutely any cost. Film and television stars, musicians, politicians, athletes and other representatives of elite society, including those from Russia, often relax here.

If you are a budget tourist, then you should not think that Nusa Dua is completely inaccessible to you paradise. In order for you to relax in these places, it is enough to drive away from the coast, where you can rent housing. You will have to travel to the beach from afar, but you can choose open areas or the beaches of those hotels where access from the street is not blocked. In principle, all Bali beaches are open and free areas of land, but still some hotel owners somehow seek restrictions on visiting the beach located on the territory of their hotel.

Nusa Dua Beach is quite influenced by the tides, but even during high tide you can relax comfortably on the coast. The timetable for the occurrence of this natural phenomenon is contained on signs near the beaches of all resort hotels. Strong waves that occur here from time to time usually do not prevent tourists from sunbathing or swimming in the ocean.

On the territory of the Nusa Dua resort there is a large shopping center - Bali Collection, which can be reached on foot from almost any hotel. This place is considered the center of supermarkets, shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants. If you decide to go shopping, then remember that prices here are slightly higher than in other Balinese resorts, but the goods are of excellent quality. In the same mall, in the gallery, in the evening they show various performances of national themes.

Tanjung Benoa

Indonesia offers relaxation not only to rich tourists, but also welcomes people of any income. Thus, in close proximity to the fashionable Nusa Dua there is the resort of Tanjung Benoa - simpler and more accessible, less pretentious and expensive. This proximity does not in any way detract from the merits of this place, but on the contrary further emphasizes its spontaneity and difference from its neighbor. Middle-income people who are accustomed to active entertainment and good service.

Tanjung Benoa can offer vacationers excellent opportunities for recreation and entertainment: cleanest beaches, azure transparent waters of the ocean, boats, parachutes, jet skis, bananas and other water activities.

Not so long ago this now resort village was a small fishing village and the main waterway of the city. Today, the port still operates here, but for other purposes - renting out vessels and equipment for active water recreation.

Tanjung Benoa Beach stretches for one and a half kilometers and is a wide strip of pure white sand. There are no strong waves or dangerous sea animals here, since about a kilometer from the shore there is a fairly large coral reef, which acts as a barrier to the resort. Just like in neighboring Nusa Dua, low and high tides are a standard phenomenon. You can find out the schedule of this natural phenomenon at any hotel.

Tanjung Benoa is a fairly young resort not only in Bali, but in Indonesia in general. Despite the fact that it began to develop quite recently, it has already gained enviable popularity and has become one of largest center water activities in this region.

The highlight of the resort is the fact that there are buildings representing various religious denominations modern world: Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity.

Also, in addition to standard excursion programs, Tanjung Benoa offers its vacationers sea excursions. You can go to the turtle center, walk through the mangroves, sit with a fishing rod by the water, admire the dolphins that will swim very close to you, and also do a lot of other interesting things. If you know in advance what kind of entertainment you prefer at the resort, you can book excursions online and receive a discount that is promised by almost every excursion bureau on the island.

Kuta

It is impossible to imagine Indonesia without a resort aimed at meeting the needs and desires of the young population of our planet. Today is popular place Recreation for partygoers is the resort of Kuta, which is located in Bali.

Kuta is recognized as the most populous resort on the island. It is located approximately 15 minutes from the airport and is considered the closest to it. The place is suitable for a holiday for absolutely any tourist, as there are both cheap hostels and expensive luxury hotels. The resort is somewhat similar to an anthill, as new tourists come here every day, looking for exciting holiday experiences and good nightlife. It is noisy, often dirty, but at the same time very fun and interesting.

The best beaches are Tuban, Kuta, Seminak and Legian in Bali. Kuta Beach, famous for its wide strip of sand and noisy surf, is considered the most suitable for surfing. The remaining beaches are located on both sides of Kuta and are considered its logical continuation, albeit calmer and cleaner.

Seminyak has luxurious villas and unusual restaurants. If we talk about the coast as a whole, then calm swimming is practically inaccessible here, as there are underwater currents and powerful surf. Swimming is only possible in areas marked with red and yellow flags. Kuta is the best place for beginner surfers: large waves, as well as the complete absence of corals and underwater rocks, make the resort suitable place for newbies.

If you can't imagine a good holiday in Indonesia without nightlife, then Kuta is your option and this resort will not disappoint you. Most bars, clubs and restaurants are open until the morning, but there are also those that close around midnight. Here you can leisurely stroll through the city streets, periodically visiting open bars, until dawn. You will be accompanied by thousands of other tourists, who, just like you, are wandering around in search of adventure. But, despite such an active nightlife, you should not expect any obscenities from Kuta, since the resort is considered an “immaculate” place (there are no strip bars or go-go dancing here).

Bali – a mix of cultures and religions

Perhaps the most alluring of Indonesia's islands, Bali is a unique fusion of cultures and religions. The main population is Hindu, but there is also a distinct sense of Southeast Asia. Bali has this eclectic mix that sets it apart from its neighboring islands. Locals they are very friendly and smiling and it seems that they are not at all tired of the crowds of tourists. One cannot deny them a sense of humor; when they see a bald tourist, many will immediately wink slyly and say that the rain has been canceled, saying that their head is clear as a clear sky.

The island, which resembles a fish in its outline, is quite small: 150 km from east to west and 80 km from south to north, which is very convenient, because... There is only one airport in Bali, and in terms of sightseeing too. But it is large enough to maintain a calm atmosphere, despite the enormous influx of tourists. Here everyone can find a secluded corner and relax in solitude.

Geography of the island and the main resorts of Bali

South Bali is by far the most visited part of the island. Resorts such as Kuta, Bukit Peninsula, Sanur, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Canggu, Legian, Nusa Dua, Seminyak are all in the south.

Quiet beaches with black sand sparkling in the sun are characteristic of the northern part of the island. The town of Lovina is interesting because in the mornings dolphins swim close to the shore. The city of Singaraja, the former capital of Bali, is also located here.

West Bali is Negara, Pemuteran, Gilimanuk and national reserve West Bali.

Calm coastal villages: Amed, Candidasa, Besakih, Kintamani, Padang Bai, the active volcano Batur with a lake at the foot and the highest mountain on the island, Mount Agung - this is the east of Bali.

The quiet coastal islands in the southeast are popular among diving enthusiasts.

A chain of mountains with volcanic peaks, some of which remain active, runs through the center of the island. On the northern side of the ridge there is a rather narrow lowland, and on the southern side there is a plain, which is the center of Bali culture. Lush valleys and terraced hills where rice has been grown for centuries.

Ubud is the main cultural and tourist center of Bali.

It is these serene landscapes that surround Ubud - the main Cultural Center Bali. In numerous museums and galleries you can trace the history of Bali, get acquainted with arts and crafts. But to absorb a little of the local culture, it’s worth seeing colorful performances with traditional music and dances.

In Ubud you can find many ancient Hindu temples and observe the rituals performed. There is an abundance of all kinds art centers and workshops engaged in wood carving, batik and other local crafts. The most convenient way to ride through the narrow streets of the town is by bicycle, but you can also walk and see the sights. Ubud is the heart of Bali, a place where the island's spirit and culture come into focus. Maybe that's why there are so many tourists here, even though the nearest beach is almost an hour's drive away. To explore at least part of the attractions of Ubud and its environs, you will need at least a week: the sacred Monkey Forest, the Goa Gajah complex with unique cave, Tirta Empul, built on thermal springs, the Yeh Pulu ensemble carved right into the rock, the tombs of Gunung Kawi, the Chapel of the Mother Goddess...

Kuta is the surfing capital of Indonesia.

Completely different resort town Kuta. It is noisy, bright, during the day the beaches are filled with surfers who have chosen the local tides back in the 1960s and 70s, and after sunset it’s seething night life: Many bars and nightclubs entertain the public until almost the early hours. There are wide beaches with golden sand, luxury hotels, an unimaginable range of spa services, yoga is very popular, and a lot of shops and souvenir shops. During the day, the public relaxes on the beach or in the Waterbom Park theme water park, and in the evenings they admire the sunsets, which are magnificent in Kuta. People often come to this place for wedding ceremonies and Honeymoon– the atmosphere is conducive to this.

Magnificent Nusa Dua – Balinese luxury hotel

In the south of Bali there is the Bukit Peninsula, in the eastern part of which there is a closed area with a number of 4*-5* hotels, a walking area with boutiques, restaurants and bars, a golf course, a conference hall, and most importantly, a wonderful beach with light sand. All this splendor is called Nusa Dua. The resort is considered elite, the staff is well-trained, there are no annoying street and beach vendors, in general, this is a slightly different Bali - luxury & premium.

Family-Friendly Resorts

For a family holiday, the calm and clear waters of Sanur and the well-protected beaches of Jimbaran are suitable. But surfers, along with Kuta, have chosen Seminyak. It should be taken into account that the entire coast of the island, where it is more and where it is less, is subject to tides. There is no need to be afraid, because... Most hotels have a schedule posted and so on. natural phenomenon you get used to it quickly.

Unsurprisingly, given the volcanic nature of the island, black sand is the norm, but there are beaches in the south that have fine-grained white sand.

Sights of Bali

Bali's most famous attractions are its countless Hindu temples. Each village has the right to build and maintain at least three temples, but wealthy villages are not limited to this number.

There are nine main temples located at strategic points throughout Bali, which are designed to protect the island and its inhabitants from dark forces. The most important for the Balinese is the Mother Temple (Besakih), located on the slopes of Mount Agung. The Uluwatu Temple on the southern tip of the island is very popular.

Temples are rarely the same in design. Each decorative detail is strictly thought out and has an earthly or spiritual nature. There are also common elements that are unchanged for the vast majority of temples. This is primarily a division into three courts: Jaba (outer court), Jaba Tenga (middle court) and Jaroan (inner court). Each of these courtyards contains separate structures and shrines of varying levels of importance.

The multi-level pagodas, covered with black palm fiber roofs, are very elegant. The number of tiers must be odd.

To enter any temple, you should wear a sarong, which you can rent, but it is more convenient to buy and always carry with you.

Natural attractions of Bali

All of Bali's mountains are dormant volcanoes, but some are still active. The magnificent Mount Agung (3142 meters) dominates the East Bali landscape and has remained tranquil since 1963. Much more active is the Batur volcano, constantly smoldering and periodically producing emissions. You can climb it in a couple of hours - it’s one of the most accessible active volcanoes throughout Indonesia.

Come to Bali too - you will have a good holiday!

This is Bali: so small and so big, so noisy and so calm... so different... Here you can watch how the mahouts wash and train the elephants and take a ride on the gray giant; freeze at the stunning view from the top of the mountain and admire the sunset; lie on the beach all day and catch the best wave of your life; see a lot of new and interesting things and just have a wonderful time relaxing.

P.S. Fans of all-inclusive holidays in Turkey may be disappointed by the island. In general, those who have visited Bali are divided into those who fell in love with the island once and for all and those who understand that this place is not for them. But it’s still worth coming here, otherwise how will you know...
